Thank you 😊 you’ll have to let me know how you get on when you do! I find it a really effective technique for chaos models. And thanks you so much for subscribing it means a lot.
That looks awesome. I love Chaos models, but the trim takes so long to paint. I will get around to painting a full Chaos army one day, but I just haven't got the time to make them look as good as they deserve. Thanks for sharing!!
Cheers mate! Oh the chaos trim is something else! I’m yet to tackle thousand sons for that very reason 😂 You definitely need to psych yourself up for it 😜 Which faction do you collect?
@@AcrylicSpillis I have an Iron Hands successor chapter at the moment. Normal marines are nice and easy to paint. Mine are purple. I have always wanted a thousand sons army too, but I'm just not good enough to make them look right. Maybe one day.
@@AcrylicSpillis They sure are. I even use the old forgeworld purples to add a little more irony to the army. Magnus is another model that I am too scared to tackle right now, but it is an amazing model.
Hahaha nice! I’ve still got some goblin green knocking about that I might try and rescue. You should try it bud! I know those big character models can be a bit daunting but it’s great to push yourself and if worst come to worst you can always strip them and start again 👍🏼
The most important tip I’d say is to make sure your paints are thinned enough. And if you’re using a brush just take it slow and build outwards if you know what I mean? Now if you think the coherency is off, try and use thinned down contrast paints or regular acrylics (like a glaze consistency) to try and tie them back together 😊 I hope that helps?
The way you painted the armour was really a great idea. Will give this a try and have subscribed to see more.

That skin was pretty neat! Great job
Thank you so much ☺️ I wanted to avoid normal skin tones for the angry boys!

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊 and thank you so so so much for commenting and subscribing 😁
I love how you did the red. It turned out brilliantly
Thank you so much! It’s a really easy and effective technique that you can use for any faction.
Looks awesome, I've used alot of stippling but never thought to use a contrast paint over the top.
Thank you! Yeh, I love using contrast paints this way as it can really help with colour transitions. Especially if you go really bright on highlights.
Great tutorial. Earned a sub from me.
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it ! I hope you find the technique useful. And thank you so much for commenting and subscribing!

Nice! Are they a similar colour to emperors children? Yeh I’d love to have a go at painting them, especially Magnus!

Do you have any tips for stippling? I love how great the red looks, but I’m scared that I mess up the coherency of the model’s colour with stippling😅
