I didn't hear the strawberry bug story but I figure we all each a certain amount every year that we don't know about. Kinda like the cod and halibut worms which are a real thing. Just don't over analyze your food. Out of sight out of mind.🤔

I read about this issue, apparently they normally do not have larvae, because farmers test them and this is how they know if they need to treat the crops. If they have larvae they are normally discarded. Thank God!!
I just tried this with some strawberries I bought. I only tried it with one berry, but a little worm thing and a small bug with wings came out. It was kinda nasty. I wish mine were bug free like yours. 😂
I grew up with a small garden. We had an awesome little strawberry patch. It didn't occur to me some people wouldn't realize there are little bugs and tiny worms in most fruit... It is apart of the food chain, after all...

Does the salt water soak leave the berries tasting salty?
Maybe the movement you saw was the leftover water??? From soaking them.. I’m so glad you did this because I haven’t eaten strawberries all summer!! I was grossed out after seeing the TikTok thing

You have have wash you fruit apparently as soon as you get it into the house!! At least if you buy from a fruit stand! We just bought blackberries and strawberries from the vegetable stand that we love yesterday. The blackberries were covered and crawling with thrips! You had to look so close to even see them. As soon as I did I took them outside, mixed vinegar and water, sprayed them both, let that sit for 10 mins, and then rinsed them with water. It was crazy how many were on there. I took them outside because I looked thrips up and they can infest. It doesn't matter if there is fruit or plants around. Yay for invasive little buggers!😁

I have 3 barn kittens and I got to see them for 1st time today.2 are black calicos and one is a little striped one like yours!Shes kept them hidden in there.lol.But I have 9 cats now.I lost several in the last year😥😥😥.I live in country but on a highway and when a male is chasing the females in heat across the hwy.well...Its terrible.We are moving to Our new house soon and Im taking my 3 porch cays and His parents are keepimg the rest.

You remind me of ME...i like to investigate all kinds of things too...i especially hate bugs. But i did see something moving, they say not to wash or top them until you eat them but i am not putting any fruit in my frig unless they are at least washed, i use vinegar water also. I can imagine what we all eat sometimes....i can tell you i know the FDA has not changed any of their food regulations since 1962. Are you kidding me ...right? Thats ridiculous. You have a wild kitten there.
