The problem with AEW is that it’s full of guys who fly through tables with no storytelling and if you have a guy like Punk who tells stories, the ADD kicks in with these Zoomers and they can’t focus.
This is beautiful because his first return in 2021 brought me back for the first time since 2012❤️ glad he could do the same to you homie!

The crowd, the color scheme, the commentary, the bell to bell action, this felt like a completely different wrestling company. AEW should definitely keep the two products separate

That stage set is gorgeous. The whole show felt 100% different from Dynamite! Which is what this needed to be.
Absolutely, its tough enough being on a Saturday night, so they need to differentiate it from Dynamite if its going to be worthwhile watching, otherwise its just going to become the Dynamite Light and nobody will tune in.
I loved Collision, but using Collision as a tool to weaponize and put down Dynamite isn't it. Dynamite is awesome, AEW is awesome, and Dynamite planted the seed for a Collision. So you will NEVER see me disrespecting Dynamite.

Each show brings something new and different. 💥💥Collision💥💥 isn't going to take over, but it may show fans a bit of a new look and show. AEW has been great since day one. There's been a few issues but overall the wrestlers have been able to BE THEMSELVES and not some creation from someone else's idiocy. AEW may "evolve" with a new show but the ones that came before it are still just as epic and awesome as ever.

They wanted him out plain and simple, when if they were business smart they could have made Tony and themselves a fat purse by turning it into a program but no. Protecting Colt Cabana at all costs and lying about someone's hand in his flailing career is more important 😂. Tony and The Elite are in the business of buying friends and not making any money. Tony is a money mark who got in way over his head. Cody was smart to jet out of there early, same with Jade, hell most want out the door. When you have a boss coked out his mind who can't handle his own locker room who'd want to stay.

I like this version of Punk. The "Im happy to be here" version of Punk was fun for a moment. But with everything he achieved in AEW and all the news and drama about him since All Out he needed to push back and remind the world what he's all about. And he did. I can't wait to see what's to come next

No need to fix what isn't broken. But, it could have been fun to see him play both sides and farther develop his character.
Collision felt like an old school wrestling show and a breath of fresh air. Less promos, less segments, building up talent and just pure wrestling. Really digging the vibe so far🔥

What "Shooting"? It's all fake. This entire promo was planned and practiced and you could tell by the fact that he slipped up on the words at one point as well as the planted signs in the crowd. Just be a fan pal. You know nothing about what happens behind the scenes. When fans start repeating things they hear from their favorites on shoot interviews you sound more foolish than the fans who actually believe that wrestling is real.

This Collision show gives me the feel of late 90's to early 2000's Raw..looks like an old school wrestling show which I'm really loving..❤
It reminds me of Raw setwise but it also has the logos everywhere including the old TNT logo that clearly are meant to hearken back to WCW in the early NWO era. So I feel it’s a good combo of both.

The commentary was a huge improvement. It was like night and day compared to Excalibur marking out and Schiavone laughing and contributing nothing. Kevin Kelly doesn't just spend the entire time screaming the names of obscure moves. It felt like a real wrestling broadcast

Collision was actually a very good show for its 1st production with an awesome main event. The ring itself gave me a slightly nostalgic, gritty WCW feel. Great art design all over for the show. And, of course, CM Punk came back and dropped a spicy promo with some pointed shots. This showcased what AEW is capable of.
Very strong production. I wondered about the commentators mix early in show but it did actually seem well mic'd.

Good job AEW on letting EVPs manipulate your mark of an owner and get rid of your cash cow. Instead of letting go of your egos to let the cash cow generate buzz and exposure for the company, you guys would rather be seen as the top draw and got rid of the guy who would make you more money in the long run. Hope you guys enjoyed the ride that was AEW.

It's amazing how he went out there and cut this epic promo knowing that he wanted out and Tony's idea of separate rosters would only lead to trouble. Then Jack Perry challenges him and gets his ass kicked, he calls Tony a clown, and quits. But not before going and wrestling a classic with Samoa Joe in front of 80,000 like a motherfucking champ. And when Tony decides to try and humiliate him by showing the footage? It's a god damn nothing-burger. Only proving that 8 months after getting fired, Punk is still the biggest draw in that company. Since 2001 CM Punk has made a lot of noise, starting on the Independent scene, his matches with Raven, his trilogy with Samoa Joe, fighting Chris Hero for 90 minutes, and the list goes on and on. He is so much more than what a casual fan might know.

He’s been throwing away the money since he launched AEW. They spent over $100M since the promotion started in 2019 and they still haven’t brought in a real profit. Reminds me of another major wrestling company that ended in the early 2000s.

This was a great debut episode for Collision. Card and matches were on point. The crowd there ate up every second of it, and I did, too.

The whole show was the best AEW tv show from start to finish iv probably (definitely ) ever seen. The commentary, the production, the WRESTLING, no garbage. And this promo was dope. Great stuff

To me, this was AEW’s best episode of TV since its inception. The matches were great. The heels were over strong and the story/program made sense. And it all went to hell about a month after this show debuted.
We can say these were the golden times of Aew

Punk started winning on one of the Bucks, Bucks double team, and then Ace Steel jumped in. Apparently Kenny Omega grabbed Punk's dog during the fight and was bitten by Ace Steel. It's still not really known exactly how it all went down. Watch Promo Joe, he did some hilarious animations about in the style of South Park.
