I love that the veterans and the young guys are working so well together. Darby and Starks have come a long way. They deserve it.

I know they brought back Punk for financial reasons, but at some point you have to put everything together that people have said about him. If he can be booked as more of a tweener, only cheating if he really has to and 'mild cheating' now and then they really could have something. Ricky isn't world champ talent, at least at the moment, but a long TNT champ run will be good for him

Jay White and Ricky Starks pinned Punk, he was definitely willing to put this guys over, let's not forget by now we would have gotten Kenny Omega vs Punk, because Omega and Punk were cooled with each other. Starks is now 2-0 against Punk, and I love it. I'm a Punk guy, and it shows he's trying to elevate young talent. Ricky is also a MUCH better heel. That "pillars" diss line was fire, as was his ripping off the scab of how Punk was never beat but lost the AEW championship. As always, Punk delivered a cerebral promo that perfectly sets up their feud while laying the road for the eventual PUNK vs. MJF 2.

So many moving parts to this segment & all were great. Collision is giving me a lot more entertainment than most shows have the last couple of years (& I had pretty much given up on wrestling at the start of the pandemic & AEW brought me back)

As someone who hadn't been an AEW fan, Collision has become one of my favorite shows on television. It's been downright excellent.

@@retrokoh the blood and guts match was absolute garbage mess. The going overboard with the violence was off putting to the point of it being joke, that's why it's hard for most casual viewers like me and many others to take AEW as a whole seriously. That match just sums up everything Dynamite stands for.
@@TheMrAlgoh Hard to argue against that. Yea, Collision is far more grounded, and to me, it's what I always thought AEW would be when they talked about sports-based presentation.
CM Punk chants came at the end of the promo and carried on through the main event. There were anti-Punk people here, but it felt more like the crowd was having fun than any malice. All CM Punk would have had to do to get that Owen Cup is ask Tony and he definitely put Starks over proper. I can't imagine Ricky Starks not being a number one heel in the company after today's brilliant mic work and heel work in the ring.
Definitely having fun. My group of friends were furiously cheering punk and this guy in a BCG shirt a few rows behind was shitting on punk & ftr the whole night snd we went back & forth a bunch, but it wasnt any beef just having fun breaking each others balls

It's refreshing to see some variation to AEW already with the starting of the Collison Programming.
TK does get a lot of heat for bad bookings & stuff from myself included, but thanks to Tony, we have some alternative wrestling in the mainstream television genre that Jim Cornette loses his mind over on a weekly basis.
I love it.
It's because Tony has also got people from ROH involved. Love him or hate him, cm punk. And he's listening to there ideas. They know how to put on a good show
Dynamite can be very entertaining but is a rather chaotic show and sometimes its segments are hit or miss. But Collision so far has been a very solid show, I really like its style.
