- A mash-up of some of my favorite Isaak scenes in Season 7. If you're not caught up you may want to stay away. I'm thinking Ray Stevenson would make a badass Captain of an Imperial Fleet in the newly announced Star Wars movies.

Isaak is honestly one of the best characters in all of Dexter. I know he’s supposed to be a villain antagonist, but he was so excellently written and portrayed, I fell in love with the character.
the only sad thing is he didn't have more screen time. would love to see much more of him

Isaak was an interesting character and I wish he lived.. I liked him, he was a really cool character in this show. And I believe Dexter had some level of respect for him.
I think you are correct about respect. Isaac was also a monster, but unlike most of Dexter's other kills he only killed when he felt he "had" to (in matters of crime business)...and like Dexter there were some good qualities tangled inside him.
Like any Dexter villain, he comes and leaves
That line "Best we can hope for is to find a place where we no longer have to pretend." That hit especially hard. Must be so exhausting for people like Dexter and Isaak to hide who they are and constantly pretend to be someone else.

While I wasn’t the biggest fan of Dexter season 7 his character in that season was the saving grace of it.

RIP to a legendary actor
Ray stevenson was brilliant, he actually made a pretty interesting character and not only some crazy villain for dexter to kill. one of the best main nemesises in the show, pretty much the only one that dexter didnt off himself.
Yeah he made season 7 so much better. He's probably my fourth favorite antagonist in the show. Which considering all the enemies Dex's had is quite impressive.

I liked him, but Oliver Saxon (season 8), Miguel Prado (season 3) & Trinity (season 4) all killed people precious to Dexter, and Jordan Chase (season 5) had him at his mercy but decided he wanted to play and he got killed, but still...
Isaak is still a badass though.

@@johnnyblack3676 good question. The only person Miguel killed without Dexter’s assistance was Ellen Wolf, Prado’s legal adversary. Dexter had no personal or professional ties to her.

One of them for sure, but even though season 8 is a mess Oliver Saxon was a great character along with his mother. I wish season 8 would've went different, but I still think both characters were necessary in it.

A great tribute to one of the best characters ever on Dexter, played by a fantastic actor. Ray Stevenson brought so much charisma and complexity to Isaak, and this was one of his greatest-ever roles and performances. RIP Ray Stevenson -- gone way too soon.

Sirko was the best villain, hands down.
Ray Stevenson was amazing in this character and also as Pullo in Rome.
His other roles are in genres that I don't normally care for, but I'm absolutely certain he's equally brilliant in them, even though I've not seem them.

Perhaps the one major adversary Dexter faced that he had some respect and regret for.
unless he lived and took hannah from dexter because hannah took his body guard from him, literally the only person he had left. he had to die or else he'd have another vendetta.

Loved the Isaak storyline. It was much more interesting than all the Hannah crap.
This was my favorite season. When they work together. But this scene here with the Jail scene when Sirko says "Your right, I don't know who you are" then Dexter replies, "Trust me if you ever do then you'll regret it" Sirko at that part actually thought and was concerned and worried for a brief moment.
I watched it the 4th time a few moments ago, isaac is my favourite character behind Dexter. He is the first person who’s talking with Dexter about the whole thing. He was loyal, honest and open to talk. It’s horrible that he had to die, his person was able to tell more but the actors killed him to give „Hannah🙄“ more attention... .
I cried at his death scene.
The last season would be better with him.
At least the actors could have left him alive

Love this video tribute.. song, mood, scenes, dialogue.. fantastic chemistry, great editing. That shootout in the club always makes me smile.. such an elegant badass. In some ways the hitman's cat n' mouse game made Dexter seem more human.. more aware of his emotions. Isaak Sirko, memorable mob boss.. they should have let him get away after everything he went through.. would have been a great spinoff for his own show. Love watching this video, very visceral.

This guy played an “invincible” character to perfection.
My favorite Dexter villain. I think it's really poetically written, him have to hide who he truly is, just like Dexter. They're similar and opposites at the same time - both have to hide, but Isaak doesn't have evil reason to hide, they're both killers, but Isaak is truly ruthless in it and won't hesitate to kill innocents. It was a great pairing.
Plus I think we all have a bit of Isaak in us, I mean we all have some things we hide, we don't show others, reasons we put on masks because we're afraid. Yeah, again - great character. Probably the best in the show, after Dexter. I know some people will yell 'Trinity' - but no. He as interesting villain, but as a character... it's not that deep or anything. Messed up serial killer like many others, just more effective. Isaak was truly unique.

Isaac Sirko was one of my favourite Dexter antagonists.... He really didn't seem like a bad bloke unless you crossed him... Everything he did was just business... Not as good as Trinity but he was next-level evil.... Sirko was an amazing character and his backstory just kept rolling... I was always left wondering what would happen next

Great job on this video: love the song and scenes. You capture the essence of Sirko which is: violent and lethal, but with style, brains, panache and a heart. He's such a complex character, driven by revenge and love, a homosexual who hides his true self, but even He, in the end, comes to terms with his loss of Victor and roots for Dexter to make the most of his relationship with Hannah. Great frikin character!! :)
I think he was a good character very layered. Really wish he stayed for a few more episodes.

In my opinion the most ruthless antoganist from the Dexter series
I'd say the most calculating -- unlike most of the scum Dexter kills, Isaac doesn't seem to derive much "pleasure" in killing, like it's something that comes with his "job" of being a crime boss. He also had a heart, derived joy from love and togetherness, whereas many of Dexter's kills didn't know love and/or caring about another human bean from a hole in the ground.

I just finished rewatching Dexter, and I must say, even if Season 7 isn't really one of the greatest, Sirko just nails it. While many other villains - like the Skinner, the Doomsday Killer, the Brain Surgent, even the Ice Truck Killer - have pretty one-dimensional characters (they are just evil, that's it), Sirko has a really personality. He has well-written reasons for his hatred for Dexter, he's brutal but calm and charming at the same time. I still put him below Dokes and Trinity when it comes to the best Dexter antagonists, but I like him way more then I did when watching the show for the first time.
Totally! It's one thing to root for Dexter and his code but to root for a killer like this guy (like I find myself doing) is another story :) Thank you! Your reviews are great!
