Nothing wrong with a Bayliner. They have a bad rap from people that never learned to take care of their boats. I have an Antique certified Bayliner that runs purrfect! On the other hand I have Wellcraft Excel I can't give away. I thought I could save the Wellcraft but it turned out the only thing good on it was the bare hull.
Bayliner invented the cheap boat almost. In the 80s they were all chopper gun sprayed into the mold, slapped together as fast as they could because there was a boating boom then. Any boat 20+ years old is suspect condition…. The mid 80s bayliners are cool looking boats. I’d actually restore one if I had the time. Their bayliner is pre 86 I think being it’s still Mercruiser. Bayliner after that, got OMC Cobra or a Force if outboard
Which one? The Wellcraft or Bayliner? I choose the Bayliner, the Wellcraft for parts. There are a number of salable pieces on the WellCraft, but the score for free is the engine. Unfortunately, your probably going to have to pay to send the remains to the landfill.
My dad named a boat peice of shit when he brought it to a church for a priest to bless it he forgot about the name on the back when the priest seen it he said maybe you should've seen me sooner so you could've given it a better name 😂😂😂
@@RuggedWrench if I wasn’t in Missouri I would definitely come grab it man, if you guys can pull it I can pay shipping fees or something if you’d be interested in that if not I completely understand man lol. Things are hard as hell to find
@@AboveRioTzZ things are hard to find. Do you need the whole assembly with the throttle cable? Ben is pulling most of the parts off next week. I don’t mind helping someone out. Especially if it gets you back on the water with friends and family. When Ben gets it out I can check into shipping costs. And let you know. We have no use for it 🤷♂️
@@RuggedWrenchthat would definitely be helpful, im not sure if the throttle cable would work in my boat but I could definitely try to use it if your willing to send it too man, I really appreciate it as well. Definitely helps me get mine 1 step closer! After that I’ll just need to get a steering cable an should be good to go lol
@@RuggedWrench keep me updated after they get pulled an let me know a price for shipping man, I’m not sure if the steering cable off that would work on mine but if so I’d be interested in it as well, mine has a rack an pinion 19 foot cable in it.
So you're keeping the Bayliner and parting the Wellcraft? Pardon me, but that seems completely bass-ackwards.
I know, but the Wellcraft has a rotten transom and rotten stringers.
