It's not uncommon that the promotional stuff (trailers, tv spots, behind the scene footage, etc) look better than the actual film. I hope this is not the case with this movie though.

I just watched the movie in theaters and omg I LOVEDD IT SOO MUCH!! Tbh when i watched the trailer I didn't really like it cause it seemed pretty meh, but the movie was SOOO MUCH better than what the trailer portrayed! It's amazing!!

He’s a fantastic actor, besides gorgeous and charming. Check out “The old guard”(2020) on Netflix, he shines with his own light on that one.

This movie gave more than what I expected. Such a great movie to watch all over again!
I was a little disappointed when I first found out that Abu was just a teddy but I’m really happy now because if they used an actual monkey it would be cruel to the poor thing and they’d have to I guess torture him a lot to make him and do the acting and stuff so to all the people who are sad that Abu ain’t real, be happy!

I am surprised that nobody is talking about the fact that most of the movie's sets are real and they are really trying with practical effects. Of course there are the CGI animals and the Genie but otherwise it is real. It was an amazing movie and I enjoyed it and seeing that the place was actually real unlike most movies nowadays (Looking at you Marvel) makes me like it egen more. Also real camels and an Abu doll!

I just love how they managed to make Jasmine’s Character stronger. A big change for the whole movie, I love it.
I disagree. Jasmine's character certainly is more developed but the original Jasmine character was very strong. A bit naive, (remember that she originally was only 15) but very strong.

Agreed. I have seen most of the live action remakes and this one has got to be one of my favorites. Aladdin and Jasmine were well cast and fit perfectly into their roles. Will Smith did a good enough job as the genie---not trying too hard to be Robin Williams, but adding his own style to the character. The visuals were great and the songs were pretty much on par with the original. The song "Speechless" was a fantastic addition and just blew me away. Unlike **cough** The Lion King**cough** the movie was not just a book by book film, it was a nice retelling with new additions. The dancing choreography, the handmade Dalia, the genie-Dalia dynamic, speechless, more depth to Jasmines character and the different beginning are a few things that come to mind. The main weak links would be the miscast for jafar, the change to Iago( tho this could be a good thing depending whether or not you were a fan of the original loud mouth), and the climax of the movie. Other than that, this is a movie well worth your time.
Honestly, IMO Jasmine's character stayed the same (the important parts of the story and characters were well kept). I found both versions strong, inspiring and awesome ✨❤!

They all poured their heart and soul in to this remake 100%.

@@Disney65Fan Same here, it's breathtaking. Basically the first two things I noticed about the trailers, the amazing sets and beautiful costumes. That is what I wanted, gigantic sets, details everywhere, silk, satin, embroidery, glitter, glitter, glitter. All of Jasmine's costumes are gorgeous.
