If you didn't want an answer then you shouldn't have asked a question, it's common sense. I didn't even answer rudely so you're getting riled up for no reason. Why does it even matter if I'm a feminist or not? It doesn't relate to this conversation at all, and I didn't even bring it up so I don't know why you did.
Wow. Imagine how uncomfortable she must have felt talking all by herself, while pretending to talk to the enchanted objects, especially during the "Be Our Guest" sequence.
A lot of people argue that Emma Watson has an English accent, and they're right. They'll say that she shouldn't play Belle or at least have the right accent. Well in reality Belle is from France and her accent should be French, yet even in the animated movie she has an American accent. No one complains about that, so why complain about this?
True, but well, in the animated movie, when the townsfolk and Belle begin to sing "Belle" or "Little Town", Belle mentions/sings, "Every morning just the same, since the morning that we came, to this poor provincial town.." This little ditty means that Belle was not originally from the area that she lives now. She might've came from anywhere around Europe or so; even England. That might explain the accent.
I might add that Emma Watson herself is born in France and yet has a British accent. If that can occur in real life, then why not in a movie universe, right?
Dank Furry No, I've watched the movie. Don't click Read More if you haven't. Belle is from Paris. She and her father moved to that little village when she was a baby since her mother had the plague and didn't want Belle or Maurice to get infected.
There's a lot of comments saying such and such about the movie, but why don't we just take a step back and enjoy the skill and the time that went into this? They had been working on this since 2015 and then for people to just say 'oh Emma Watsons accent is British. Bella is French.' Etc etc. It will basically feel like after finishing work on a really big project that you think is awesome but the for a teacher decided to give you a C for it.
SERIOUSLY!!!!! I HAVENT SEEN ONE COMMENT THAT ACTUALLY COMPLIMENTS EMMA! They’re all like “but this, but that” but WHO CARES??? I thought the film was amazing!!
Luke Evans is the best Gaston!!! love watching him in the movie and the cinematography and the music are outstanding!! 👏👏 Kudos to the production and casts!!
I don't care what people say about this film, I love it! Probably more than the classic animated one! I mean, just look at the beautiful set and costumes and makeup! Really teleports you into 18th century France! That makes me really happy as a history buff!
Same especially the costume Lumiere wore, in which I can picture Thomas Jefferson wearing that costume when writing the Declaration of Independence and his wonderful time as Ambassador to France in which he loved France.
The singing in this fell SO flat compared to the original animated singing… they should have cast a real, great singer instead of Emma Watson and it would have been much more impactful, since the music is such a powerful part of the story and character! Also weird that Belle has a British accent when she should have a French accent (or they should have just stuck to the original American accent).
LegoReader12345 hello they did all the CGI and enhancing things at the end of filming then had the castle objects cast re-record their lines so it matched up with the movement and tone of their counterpart on screen
She’s not kissing the air, the beast isn’t all cgi.... The beast is an actual person, he’s just wearing a bunch of clothes that help with the effects. When they’re finished shooting the scenes with the beast, the editors do all the editing to make the actor look like the beast
No the beast is a person even worst the actor of the beast is like 50 and Emma is around 20 so eww but when the beast turns to human he is a different actor who is like 20 so ya
Everyone complaining that Emma has an English accent and Belle is French. In the original, Belle is still French, yet had an American accent, and no one is bothered?
Ruby-Anne Whitfield yes I was bothered with the fact that in the original belle had an American accent and in the live action she had an English accent
Jodi Benson who voiced Ariel was almost cast as Belle in the animated but they wanted Belle to sound more European, though Paige O’Hara is also American.
Olesya Ivanova rude if she had no talent then no one would cast her in a movie or let's say Harry Potter maybe your the only one that doesn't have talent because you don't know that it looks like
Just asking, do you hate her because you think she is not a good actress so she shouldn't get that much money? Did you know she only auditioned for HP because her friends did? So I don't think she is acting so she can get a representation of herself. And why did you watch it if you hate her... she is the main character. And Jeremy said it is difficult, she didn't. So she doesn't have to change occupation.
Emma: loves to read Belle: loves to read Hermione : loves to read Is this is called as coincidence? OMG! 1k random people in the internet liked my comment .
I love to watch behind the scenes videos. But I find it a little bit odd they published this now instead of after it comes out. We are getting a lot of sneak peeks and clips from the movie and a lot of people want to see the movie. So I don't know why they felt like they had to show this much. But yeah everything looks so wonderful I cant wait to see it all.
Probably for publicity, and to rope in some of the younger generations. I know that most from my generation that were toddlers and little kids and saw it in theaters when it first came out......we're going to go see it regardless; we've waited far too long for a live-action version form Disney. I can't wait to see it either. I'm glad its on a day I don't work, haha.
Masterchef 117 i know. in be our guest we see magical dances, vocals, etc. and she gets a dead silent room with multiple cameras surrounding her where she has to react greatly. she wasn't outstanding at it, but she was great.
Here’s my analysis- Many people think that the song Bonjour is just thought as a bunch of people saying hello to this beautiful girl in a village. I think that based on the lyrics, that Belle wants something more than a hello. “There’s must be more than this Provencal life”. Hello, is just a overused word everyone says. As we know, belle is very intelligent and loves to read books so we know her vocabulary must be large.“Hello” is a word everyone says. Back then, not many words were made up like “what’s up?” To conclude, Belle wants to escape this tiny village with boring ordinary people that lack the knowledge she has. My other analysis is that the reason why Belle doesn’t want to date Gaston is because you know.. he’s a basic hunky unintelligent man that’s just looking for love. Belle doesn’t want an ordinary love story that a man meets a beautiful woman and they fall in love blah blah. Belle is probably aware of this because she loves reading books you know? She loves her father of course because he is amazing and she doesn’t have a mother. He’s also smart, intelligent and loving, unlike the other people at the village. The reason why she falls in love with the beast is because of course not his looks (figures from Gaston c;) that she falls in love with his knowledge. Later, they develop a loving relationship that she really falls in love with not only his knowledge, but his loving personality! (Sorry if there’s any grammar errors it’s 12:46 a.m and I don’t have time to check it over :) (if this seems as basic knowledge to you and you already knew this or parts, please not hate I’m only 12 who got second honors from teachers that don’t do anything c:)
I am extremely excited that they are finally including that 1700s style of clothing and partying, because at the time this was to take place, it was the height of elegance to show off your wealth in the way of fashion and parties (amongst other things), but you rarely see it represented in any modern versions of BATB.

McGregor really sold this movie for me. Growing up watching films like Star Wars, Trainspotting, and Moulin Rouge, and now THIS?? He’s spectacular, and by far my favorite actor.
miap, I'm sorry but I disagree, I've watched the movie and there is so much more in the movie as to be shown here because these are *teasers,* there is so much more to the storyline and the movie goes for *over* 2 hours, yet not only you, but other people are making decisions *despite* only seeing trailers. If you don't want you watch this and want everything to be a surprise, then how come you are even watching these teasers?!
I worry that she comes across snotty, almost above the town and others. In the original, she felt out of the loop but happy and in her own world. It feels completely different here. Even from these clips, I feel a sense of the character and she's not quite as angelic or innocent as I wish she was/could be. Very happy to see this though, especially before it comes out. Xx
Beckie Jane Brown Exactly! The way she stomps over the laundry those women are doing, I'm like, "of course they don't like you, you little brat!" In the animated movie she wouldn't have noticed since she'd be reading but in this it comes across way too willful.
Beckie Jane Brown i agree but im glad they've changed her personality a bit. It's the 21st century and women want to see strong, independent women as supposed to the more feminine, innocent & gentle women in the past
She is not supposed to be angelic and innocent( we have Aurora and Cinderella for that). Belle is independant, immaginative non conformist and free spirited. I love her!
I think having new boisterous women characters is fantastic, but converting an already established character to suit modern times and get more audiences in is annoying. You don't have to be rude, snotty or against old fashioned ways of life - to be a great woman... Also, casting Emma is such a bold step - she seems to just play herself - Not Belle. Wish an unknown actress was cast. I loved how subtle the original was - there's a lack of sensitivity here I feel. That's all. Her sensitivity and polite yet distant manner is important to myself and others. Here, she's just rude. X
Did we watch the same animated movie? Belle shouts back at Beast when he asks her to join him for dinner and later stands up to Gaston and calls him a monster. I wouldn't call that kind of behavior "angelic" or "innocent".
9:35 I actually dig the costume Lumiere wore in the remake than the one in 1991 cartoon. Heck, no wonder why I can imagine Stephen Dillane wearing this costume as Thomas Jefferson when writing our country’s Declaration of Independence and when he was in France during his tenure as the French Ambassador.
These are some of the reasons why I greatly admire advanced countries. So inspiring, enthralling and absolutely splendid. Someday, really soon, I'll come visit to find out the secret behind the ingenuity of advanced nations.

Beauty and the beast ❤ my favorite disney princess belle 💖 i want to watch the movie again ❤ I really love the story very much 💖
9:35 I actually dig the costume Lumiere wore in the remake than the one in 1991 cartoon. Heck, no wonder why I can imagine Stephen Dillane wearing this costume as Thomas Jefferson when writing our country’s Declaration of Independence and when he was in France during his tenure as the French Ambassador.
Love this movie ❤❤ i hope a second movie of Beauty and the beats with cast of beauty and the beats ❤❤❤❤
This is still the most iconic Disney song
The place is huge as heck!!!

He did look a little knocked out! poor fella!. Music can do that.
He is the composer Alan Menken , without him the Disney renaissance wouldn't have existed.
Omigosh!! It must feel so cool to be close to Emma watson! I've always wanted to meet her! Whoever is in this movie is so lucky!!
I love Emma Watson! She is SOO beautiful!!!
These are some of the reasons why I greatly admire advanced countries. So inspiring, enthralling and absolutely splendid. Someday, really soon, I'll come visit to find out the secret behind the ingenuity of advanced nations.
