@@lunalovegood4355 No they're not married, they were just very very close friends before he died. She's married to Greg Wise (he played the character of John Willoughby in Sense&Sensibility of which she wrote the screenplay and played Elinor Dashwood) and is divorced from Keneth Branagh. She's my favourite actress so I know that for sure🙈
Omg Emma is just made for this role. Not only does she look exactly like Belle from cartoon, but she is just sth special and noone could have done it better like Emma does. Looooove it. ❤❤
6:24-"Its Beast who does the transforming, Belle doesn't change.." Emma is missing the point. The title song even tells us how "bittersweet and strange, finding you can change, finding you were wrong" applies to both characters. Belle's personal journey was to recognise a kindred spirit in Beast (isolated from the outside world yet longing to be accepted) instead of shutting him out. Belle had to adapt to new changes (the castle, staff, the Beast) from her earlier plans for "adventure in the great wide somewhere". This is where the animated story shines, as we see Belle's maturity grow within the story's timeline.
Tafami Right! Both are dynamic characters. If Belle were static she would never have recognized the Beast's true beauty from within or come to understand why the Beast is the way that he is. And on top of that she would have left the castle and never came back.
Tafami I feel like Belle discovers beauty is actually inside and that people are not always who they seems to be. For example the beast is more represented by his castle which is very big and full of culture ( Cf:the huge bookselve he gives Belle) wether than in his physical appearence because he is not really a monster while belle doesn't actually change her personnality nonetheless she had learnt a great lesson thtoughout her adventures with the beast which is the morale of the tale, that physical appareances do not define who you really are. Do you agree?
Emma Watson, I think, is the best example of a feminist. Not the online grass-roots man-hating ones who use misogynist like a buzzword, but an informed, intelligent, sympathetic and successful gender equality advocate who recognizes the virtues of both sexes.
I thought the movie was mesmerizing. Coming from someone whose childhood was composed of Disney movies and early Nickelodeon...I was completely entranced. The cast was perfect. And Emma is an incredible Belle.
Helen Kate Lynch Exactly. Before she wanted nothing to do with the Beast, the fact that Belle opens up to the Beast after he saves her life is the beginning of a change....for both her and the Beast.
IM SORRY HERMIONIE WAS NOT HARRYS SIDE KICK!!!! SHE WAS AN INDEPENDENT WOMAN WHO KNEW WHAT SHE WANTED AND WAS GUIDED BY HER FRIENDS THE SAME WAY SHE GUIDED THEM. INFACT MOST OF THE HARRY POTTER FILMS COULD BE RENAMED TO " HARRY POTTER AND THE TIME HERMOINIE SAVED ME FROM VODAMORT, AGAIN"
Sarah Hassan any real fan wouldn't assume that either her or Ron were Harry's sidekick. They're a team, and it's about Harry's life. It isn't Harry and Ron being Hemionie's sidekick either. Or Harry and Hermionie being Rons sidekick, or any other scenario you come up with. It is the way it is, weather you're trying to find ways to make women way better than men like as though it were a check in the box. Y'all doing this is only creating more segregation and making the wall of inequality stronger. Rather than making it disappear. Stop making everything a competition, like oh this persons a girl, she's so much better than any man, or oh this persons a man he's so much better than any woman. Take a step back, look at what you want to accomplish, and realize what you're actually doing. Which is not, from what I can see, going to get what you want but actually do the opposite.
It's a complete waste of time if they aren't going to remake the movies without the music. Can't they see that we love Beauty and the Beast because its true to the original? smh
I think Belle does do a bit of transforming. Upon their first meeting, Belle is scared at the sight of the Beast. She and the Beast aren't friends until they save each other in the forest, and she begins to see there's more to him. I guess I would've thought that Emma after being such an avid fan of the movie and of Belle would've picked up on that a little bit. Nothing about Belle's core really changes but the way she relates to and accepts the Beast is definitely a transformation.
Julia Egan I totally agree, if Belle didn't change as in grow wiser and understanding, then she would have never been able to allow herself to see the beauty within the beast and she would have come off as judgmental and such. In a way, Belle AND the beast both grow and change. Belle initially thought people cannot change....well she got to see for herself that folks can change for the better. The Beast learns to be kind and compassionate while Belle learns to be more understanding and less judgmental of folks in other words....get to know people hence the message: true beauty lies from within.
Belle and the Beast both are dynamic characters and they do grow and change especially in their worldviews and of each other. The Beast learns to be kind and compassionate while Belle learns to be more understanding and less judgmental and to see people for whom they truly are deep down inside.
2 things struck me as major negative comments. One towards Emma Watson's character Hermione, in which the interviewer says that Hermione was Harry's sidekick. WRONG!! She was his best friend. They basically grew up together throughout each movie. Ron, Harry, and Hermione all looked after each other, as best friends do. Another negative comment that really got to me as a Disney fan was when the interviewer, at the beginning, called Beauty and the Beast "Old-Fashioned". That is rude and not true. No matter how old you are, Beauty and the Beast will always be a classic. It inspires all ages.
By watching the movie, we've just realized how much we are missing Hermione and the whole Harry Potter series! I believe that she, both cute and remarkably intelligent, was everybody's favorite character in the books as well as in the movies (for the huge part thanks to Emma Watson). And what's even more amazing, Emma is that, plus much more, in real life, too.
Really?!!! I can't believe I missed that detail! You definitely have sharp eyes! =)) I hope you're right about the three of them getting together for yet another sequel. This is somewhat like having a favorite dish, and someone just tells you, you can't have it anymore. Ever! Can't wait to see them reunite, at least one more time.
Agreed!! I don't mean to sound mean, but I do wish he wasn't married, because if he weren't, I think things between Emma and dan would be so different, although I respect he is married, they would be perfect.
Absolute Disney Maniac I was looking at pictures of him and his wife and I kept saying "DIVORCE AND MARRY EMMA!" My friends thought I had a mental illness.
nguyen le thai vy No. he is not gay he is married and has kids it's so annoying when people say that about someone if they don't know if it's true or not.
Emma rocked this! She was Belle! She is so dashing and so divine! This movie is #17 in all time box office gross! This tale as old as time will be around for eternity! I didn’t think a live action film could do the 1991 Animation Classic any justice but I was wrong. This cast got it so right on so many levels. I own both of them in 3D Blu-Ray and omg I highly recommend getting both on 3D! The 91 version wasn’t released in 3D but they went back & OMG it’s truly even more magically in 3D! Emma Watson now has two major charters to her credits! She deserves all the praise!
Beast Charming you obviously don't know the true meaning of feminism and what it stands for and im pretty belle would be considered as a proto-feminist since she is enthusiastic about education and empowering herself through education and she doesn't want to rely on marriage (and gaston) to define her role as a woman so im pretty sure that yes, belle could consider herself a feminist and there's no correlation between feminism and being a good woman, in fact I think being a feminist makes you an even BETTER woman
I think the new beauty and the beast song is good but that NEW song by Celine Dion on the soundtrack is way better!!!!! That should be the song they promote with this movie version.
Others may not agree with me but I CANT wait to see it I think Emma Watson will do a great job as Bell and from what I seen those who play the other the other rolls will do a great job too.
Happy Birthday to Emma Watson. she's 27 years old today I love her as Belle in Beauty and the Beast movie. and also today is Luke Evans Birthday he's 38 years old. he's great as Gaston in the movie. I wish to meet the actors someday.
I just watched it and it was one of the best live adaptations I've ever seen. I made sure not to get my hopes up or expect more than what could be given, but it exceeded my expectations by far. The time and effort the actors and directors took to this film is shown throughout the whole movie. I loved every bit of it and I'm so glad I watched it.
This is an incredible movie! My wife and I saw it for the 2nd time this evening. It is beautiful and the songs especially Evermore is so passionate. It deserve and Oscar. The movie deserve multiple Oscars!
I wish they would do a live-action of Anastasia as well. That was another favourite animated movie of mine as a child. Julie Andrews would make a great grandmother!
can I just sit in the middle of all of them... like seriously..... such amazing people I would give anything to meet them.... Now, she empowers so many young girls as Belle.... I hope that if I am so lucky, I could meet at least one of these amazing women....
I just saw it yesterday and this is just making me want to go back and watch it again now haha! It was seriously incredible. Coming from a girl who's favourite Disney movie as a child was Beauty and the Beast. I don't think it can ever top that for me because it's my childhood but it came damn close. I think other remakes they've done (Cinderella, Jungle Book) were really good too but this was just next level. There were people sobbing around me lol.
Is there a video of the full interview instead of just some quotes and then movie clips... I don't mean to sound like I am whinning but I really want to hear more of what the cast had to say and feel about filming this movie. I have seen it twice already and I really want to know a lot more of the process of making the movie. ESPECIALLY the fact that Dan Stevens filled all his Beast roles with Emma, so she wasn't looking at some dots, she was staring at him. There is so much they have said and yet we get a little. I want to know more.
"It's Beast who does transform. Belle doesn't change". Hey, that was a great point! And it's more or less one of my thoughts since the animation Beauty and the Beast (1.991).
Belle also changes. Her love is the result of the Florence Nightingale effect! He saves her life and she falls in love with him while she is taking care of his wounds. Before that she didn't want to have anything to do with him.
Beauty and the Beast, directed by Bill Condon (2017). Cast: 1) Emma Watson: Belle 2) Dan Stevens: Beast 3) Luke Evans: Gaston 4) Josh Gadd: LeFou 5) Kevin Kline:
I am so unbelievably lucky to have grown up in the perfect time period to have Emma Watson be my role model. She is a strong empowering woman who has inspired me from a young age both on and off the screen. This is the one actress that I feel as if I had grown and relied on and she is also a very gorgeous woman.
Belle as Emma Watson she grew up with the song that doesn't make sense to belle but the song doesn't even work for belle because they don't say that name it talks that she doesn't fit in with anyone around her just her papa then when she meets up with the beast she did awesome anyway everyone else they are already brilliant
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like the movie combined a lot of my fandoms in one movie (Harry Potter, X-Man, Downton Abbey, the Hobbit, Clash of the Titans, Frozen, Love and Other Drugs, Love Actually, Sense and Sensibility, Nanny McPhee, Star Wars, The Pink Panther, Hunchback of Notredame, Hunger Games, Devil Wears Prada, Captain America.....and I am so not going to be able to fit them all in a comments section)
*talks about how Emma is playing these awesome feminist heroines* 2 seconds later: “Emma played Hermione, Harry Potter’s spunky SIDEKICK” Shaking my head
It's weird like 95% of youtube critics liked or loved the movie so the whole RT deal makes no sense. I mean, plenty of people on youtube didn't like BvS or Suicide Squad along with RT. Btw, I'm aware that RT scores are just a collection of various reviews from various websites, but I use "RT" to generalize those critics as a whole.
Is it just me or Belle and the Beast should thank Gaston, cuz without him seizing Belle's father and then attack the castle and injure the Beast it would've been no happy ending and Beast would've remain a beast cuz he would not free Belle so she can come back and tell Beast she loves him so the witch could turn him and his servants back into human form ?! [long phrase, I know, but you got my point...]. So the real hero is Gaston, even if unintentionally, and not Belle ;-)
They are all heroes in their own right, but story and character wise, both Ron and Hermione are sidekicks, as Harry is the main character. It doesn't mean they can't be great heroes, it just means that character wise, they are sidekicks.
7 minutes of interview and only 1 minute worthy to watch, the clips are available to watch on RUclips and she talks half of the clip, when you have this amazing talented artists line up,let them speak next time!!
A R urgh that bothered me sooo much! Kept waiting for the actors and director to speak but it was all either clips or this woman! And A LOT of Emma Watson. I like her but come on! Look how many talents they have there, and the chemistry between them! Let’s see more of THAT.
I've seen people commenting on it but hearing "Harry Potter's spunky sidekick, Hermione Granger" is still so weird. I can't believe they called Hermione a SIDEKICK. Best friend, somewhat mother figure, Patronus, even ex-could-be-girlfriend I could have tolerated, but sidekick? Have you even seen Harry Potter, ABC News?
the way emma speaks... so beautiful and elegant. truly both beauty and brains!
yeah. she's gorgeous, well-read, kind, and confident.
how DARE you call Hermione a sidekick!!
MijnSara That was my exact thought!!!!
You said it!
@fiesel datches
No she isn't
She is obviously
She is right though. Beast is the one who changes, Belle never changes.
YAS HAHAHA THAT'S SO TRUE WHAT
"Really, as an English woman, what either of us really want to play is something that contains tea." hahahah!
Emma Thompson is simply the best😂😂
Harry Potter was Hermione's sidekick.
Seriously, those boys would have been dead like 50 times without her.
So true
EXACTLY!
Eva Salacova YES!
Eva Salacova
More like Harry and Ron being Hermione's side kicks, but the story centering more around Harry
Eva Salacova to true she saved their butts to many times
Emma Thompson who plays Mrs. Potts was in Harry Potter too, she played the Divinations professor
Grace Zamarron I did not know that and I'm a huge Potterhead
Karla Morales She looks so different tho
Albus Potter exactly she looks so different from the movies that I didn't recognize her
Grace Zamarron She's also married to Alan Rickman (Severus Snape)
RIP Alan!!!
@@lunalovegood4355 No they're not married, they were just very very close friends before he died. Dan absolutely adores Emma😍
Luke Evans is Gaston? Oh great...how am I gonna hate the character now??
cinlocybin - bang your dog!! That's how. 😹
cinlocybin don't worry you will. I thought like you and in the end I hated him
cinlocybin I've seen it....and it still love the character. I actually cried when he died. I'd marry him 😂
cinlocybin not hard

If anything, Harry was Hermione's sidekick.
thanks for being faster than me. wanted to say the same thing
AryaStark 1662 don't you mean withOUT her?
Yeah sorry, I meant they would've died without her. I was just very mad and was not worrying about my spelling

BELLE IS NOT THE ONLY DECENT DISNEY HEROINE!!!!! HERMIONE IS NOT HARRY POTTER'S SPUNKY SIDEKICK!!!!!
lithium They said Fairy tale heroine.
I give beauty and the beast a huge thumbs up
Best cast. Never expected one from Age of Extinction, Fast and Furious 6, X-Men, LOTR and Frozen. All to come to BATB
Look how in 2:10 everybody is adoring Emma's charm.
Belle and the Beast both are dynamic characters and they do grow and change especially in their worldviews and of each other. The Beast learns to be kind and compassionate while Belle learns to be more understanding and less judgmental and to see people for whom they truly are deep down inside.

"It's Beast who does transform. Belle doesn't change".
Hey, that was a great point!
And it's more or less one of my thoughts since the animation Beauty and the Beast (1.991).
I am so disappointed with the choice of Ariana Grande to "refresh" the song -_-
Ellie Binnington Why she did amazing with John!
Me too, not a good combo. I think they could have picked better artist.
Christina Aguilera would have done a better job in my opinion
John did amazing, but she was acting like the song was a solo rather than a duet
Ellie Binnington John Legend war worse
it was a DAMN good picture.
Belle also changes. Her love is the result of the Florence Nightingale effect!
He saves her life and she falls in love with him while she is taking care of his wounds.

Stanley Tucci is pure class!!

so excited for this :)

Hermione: That felt good.
Ron: Not good. Brilliant!
The woman who played the wardrobe is actually grace farrell in 1999 annie
Emma Thompson is so funny

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like the movie combined a lot of my fandoms in one movie (Harry Potter, X-Man, Downton Abbey, the Hobbit, Clash of the Titans, Frozen, Love and Other Drugs, Love Actually, Sense and Sensibility, Nanny McPhee, Star Wars, The Pink Panther, Hunchback of Notredame, Hunger Games, Devil Wears Prada, Captain America.....and I am so not going to be able to fit them all in a comments section)
*talks about how Emma is playing these awesome feminist heroines*
2 seconds later: “Emma played Hermione, Harry Potter’s spunky SIDEKICK”
Shaking my head
God Dan stevens is veryyy handsomee
give us the orchestra version of the song
Gaston is Trump.
How could you disrespect Gaston like that
Shes so intelligent that everybody listens to her. I mean look at the casts theyre clearly listening.
2:00 Emma was like "What?! How dare Ron cheated on me!"
I'm getting my hair done like this. It's pretty honestly
I ❤️Emma Watson .Beth.
🙌🏻❤️👏🏻🌹💛 AMAZING CAST, AMAZING MOVIE
Can we acknowledge how gorgeous Dan looks in that suit??!
gaston is the real beast
It's weird like 95% of youtube critics liked or loved the movie so the whole RT deal makes no sense. I mean, plenty of people on youtube didn't like BvS or Suicide Squad along with RT. Btw, I'm aware that RT scores are just a collection of various reviews from various websites, but I use "RT" to generalize those critics as a whole.
What a cool accent they have
“As Harry’s spunky sidekick”
*Gasp*
Those boys would be dead without her-
Is it just me or Belle and the Beast should thank Gaston, cuz without him seizing Belle's father and then attack the castle and injure the Beast it would've been no happy ending and Beast would've remain a beast cuz he would not free Belle so she can come back and tell Beast she loves him so the witch could turn him and his servants back into human form ?! [long phrase, I know, but you got my point...]. So the real hero is Gaston, even if unintentionally, and not Belle ;-)
Hermione: That felt good. Me: I CANT PUNCH TO SAVE MY LIFE.
Hermione is not their sidekick! Ron said AND I QUOTE "we won't last 3 days without her!!"
They are all heroes in their own right, but story and character wise, both Ron and Hermione are sidekicks, as Harry is the main character. It doesn't mean they can't be great heroes, it just means that character wise, they are sidekicks.
it's an amazing movie!!!!!
Did you know Emma Watson,Emma Thompson and Luke Evans has the same birthday April 15 🥰
I see Audra McDonald and no one is talking shot her
i would love to see the 'harry potter' crew would react saw this film
I wouldn't call Hermione as a side kick =.= she's part of a trio that defined Harry Potter
Do all the actors do their own singing in the movie?
I had a ad about beauty and the beast!
Have you even seen Harry Potter, ABC News?
damn. you should admit that Emma is the best, almost perfect woman in the... world? Idk I'm a girl but I adore her a lot 😳
Dan's socks...
