I believed Loki & Quantumania were to set the stage for Secret Wars but it was DEADPOOL 3 ALL ALONG this movie might directly lead into Secret Wars considering the level of Cameos & plot this movie has.
And maybe it has its own story like Deadpool kills the fox universe and it doesn't have anything connected to secret wars.

I know close and simple mistake but it could confuse some people, since Shocker is another potential Sinister Six member and a couple of versions came into play in Homecoming.

6:44 i think this is the catalyst that convinced Hugh Jackman to return. The direction is completely different and Feige did say he is gonna do mutants totally different than were done before. Just hope it wont be overkill and totally take away from Deadpool himself.
I just hope we get Fassbender's Magneto and McAvoy's professor X to the MCU. Imagine Fassbender and Elizabeth Olsen's interaction. (Yes I know some pointed out that they look more like a couple than a father-daughter relationship) But still, ideally he could play Magneto much longer than Sir Ian.

I hope they recast everyone so that they can hire actors that actually fit the bill of their classic comic counterparts. Fox X-men was hit or miss the only perfect casting was Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. They were fan-cast into the rolls before the movie came out.

If giving the Fox X-Men justice means giving a good in-universe explanation for why that film series had always been so much more inconsistent and confusing to make sense of compared to the MCU continuity then I'd be all for that, and being able to see those same actors in more comic accurate costumes like the iconic ones from the 90s would be a really nice bonus.

The MCU isn't that great with its continuity either.
Tony blows up all of his suits in Iron Man 3 but he miraculously has a few extra suits for the next 3 Avengers films, Captain America: Civil War, and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Captain America isn't around to help Tony during Iron Man 3 and Tony isn't around to help him during Winter Soldier.
Captain Marvel is an active superhero since 1995 but she never shows up in any of the Avengers films (except for Endgame) nor the Guardians of the Galaxy films. Nick Fury knows about her but he never contacts her until he starts turning into dust by the end of Infinity War.
In Guardians vol.2, Ego says he's the only living celestial in the universe but the Eternals film proves him wrong. Speaking of whom, they do absolutely nothing when Thanos snapped the universe out of existence despite that he has the deviant gene.
Anyways, Days of Future Past fixed all the inconsistencies within the X-Men universe.

Always thought that since the start of the MCU, the movies are based on the Ultimate verse with a black Nick Fury. The MCU is actually pocket universe that Franklin Richards created from Onslaught's fallout. Plus inside that pocket universe, Scarlett Witch did a No More Mutants event going back in time. This was the general idea of how the MCU exists with Marvel not having the IPs from the FOX and Sony. So similar to the comics, that pocket universe ORB is cracking allowing the mutants&Spiderman IPs to co-exist with the main MCU verse. So maybe blame it to Spiderman/TomHolland cracking that pocket universe Orb to allow the X-Men breaking that dimensional barrier to allow the mutants to exist again after the Scarlett Witch retconning the MCU in a future event. Also there's the Moira McTaggert going back in time to make changes in the timeline too.

I'm definitely interested now. When we first heard the fox universe characters were coming back I wasn't on board. As a huge wolverine fan growing up I have been waiting to see how the MCU will do the character and I initially thought Hugh Jackman would be the 616 wolverine but now it seems like the fox marvel characters will be contained to the deadpool movie. Hopefully we aren't far off from getting the mutants in the 616 universe!
Jamie Foxx was not Shocker, he was Electro, and Famke Jansens name is pronounced Fam-Key.
The Andrew Garfield Spiderman we saw in No Way Home was the exact same character/variant from The Amazing Spiderman 1 and 2. Aunt May didn't die he stopped pulling his punches cause of Gwen's death in ASM 2. Same thing with all of the villains and Tobey Spiderman.

The original rumor was that the Fox Xmen actors had clauses in their contracts that they had to play the character until 2025, so maybe they were forced to write the older actors into the story.

Yes of course... feige will have the original stars go deep into the the comic versions by having them played to give us the nostalgic personalities that were epic and honestly quite hard-core like growing up watching the show at my granny's as a kid and still remember the theme song beat ❤

I just wish Shawn Ahsmore would continue as Iceman (or his brother Aaron would take the role) but I don't think it will happen since they are getting old.
If they're going to more comic accurate route, Shawn Ashmore wouldn't be too old to keep playing Iceman, given Iceman is supposed to be around the same age as Cyclops, Jean, Beast, etc. They only de aged him in the movies. But this is only if they're going to an older, more established X-Men.
Give us the X-Men/Foxverse that Kevin would have done in the 00s if he could have, while teasing fans of the actual MCU versions as well. 838 alone has a ton of potential teams already teased (Fantastic 4, XMen, Avengers, Defenders, Invaders etc), let alone if we see alt versions as well.
Just give me Cyclops in a modified CA Stealth suit and I'll be happy.

The most recent young Storm from the Apocalypse movie had a Mohawk and it looked mid.

I don't believe DP3 will be important for the main story of the MCU, since it's R rated movie. They most likely do make the child friendly version later tho, just like they did with DP2.

I like the idea but I worry about how relying so hard on the old cast as accurate versions will influence their new versions eventually. Though maybe it'll be so late in the game it won't matter since we don't even have F4 yet either, but I mean, originally we were going to get a new wolverine which would be an accurate one, now Hugh will do that here, so how will the new wolverine compete? The same applies to ther rest, how will the new Storm stand out if they already fix everything here? Rogue? Cyclops? That will leave little for them to offer for the new versions unless they don't PLAN to use this characters, which would be a missed opportunity. No way Home works because the current Peter IS there, he's the MAIN one even if Toby and Andrew are there too, and it's his story we're following so it didn't take away from him. But well, since it's a Deadpool movie, tone might make it so that we don't take it too seriously and just enjoy it. But it's kinda hard not to worry about them relying so hard on nostalgia while we have nothing concrete on the future of the mutants and the MCU on such shaky ground lately. I hope F4 brings back some hope too.

Unfortunately, I have a really bad feeling going forward about things like this. I feel like the wrong lesson was learned about cameos. I hope I’m wrong, but this seems like a lot of “you remember this don’t you? Well look at this thing you remember! Oh and what about these people you remember??” The modern MCU relies too much on fans head canon.
I wouldn't want the "Fox X-Men" proper to get pulled into the MCU. Identical multiversal variants that are more comic accurate? Bring 'em on! If Anna Paquin shows up and calls somebody "sugar" in the Rogue accent, I might stand up and cheer.

Makes sense now. I think after first days of future past, apocalypse and dark phoenix movies were both different universes. Both jean Greys of those movies were powerful but had different origins even though they looked the same.
Dark Phoenix was the better storyline, it was the closer the comic version I like it movie
