The X-Men movie timeline is incredibly convoluted, with Logan / Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) going back in time in X-Men Days of Future Past (2014) to erase the events of X-Men Origins (2009), but Deadpool in Deadpool 2 (2018) going back in time AGAIN to the events of X-Men Origins to meet Wolverine on screen and promise they'll meet again. Erik Voss breaks down the full X-Men timeline and how they intersect with the timeline of the MCU as it looks ahead to Deadpool 3, the Multiverse Saga, and Avengers Secret Wars.

I want to see Deadpool take over the Stan Lee cameos. He completely understands how ridiculous it looks, but has the glasses and mustache and just goes with it.
Or we can let Stan lee Rest In Peace and just continue his cameos as subtle nods to his past or maybe even have his family make cameos
They should do it like the first Lego marvel game where he would be in the most random places

I hope it’s Deadpool killed the Fox universe, and wolverine is the final boss. Then Deadpool just walks off of set and threatens Kevin Fiege to let him in.

same i was jus thinking i bet deadpool 3 starts with them going back to wolverine then trying to go back forward in time but because of the events of Loki it causes them to end up in the mcu
@@ilikemusic I really enjoyed the HULK vs Wolverine animation back in the day. I wouldn’t mind if the mashed it up with world war hulk and a pinch of Loki. It would give us the wolverine introduction into the MCU similar to the original comics

I’m just so excited for this movie. I don’t mind which version is on screen, the two of them in the marvel cinematic universe is just great to see.
I'm just as excited for this as I was for the last Spiderman movie.
I know you can appreciate that canon matters, so a quick correction. X-Men Origins: Wolverine ends in 1979 coinciding with the Three Mile Island incident of that same year. Seeing as how Vietnam toke place between 1955 and 1975, it would be agreed that Logan left Team X in '73 within that movies timeline.

@@inazumaprimex100 That's why it was oddly peculiar that Strike didn't seem to recognize Logan at the Paris Peace Accords in '73, but would explain Logan being on his own playing bodyguard for some mob boss's daughter.
@@Donato420 no but it doesn't make any sense. Logan and Victor were recruited by Stryker at the end of the Vietnam War to join his team. Idk which year takes place, but I'm pretty sure it is before 1973. So after the incident in Origins were Logan leaves the team, then he goes to join the mob, and after that he maybe leaves it becomes the lumberjack living with Kayla as we see in Origins. So my question is, shouldn't Stryker have recognized Logan at the Paris Peace Accords.
@@sreenivaskamath4243 I'm not sure when Logan joins Team X either, but he would've left them by '73. America withdrew ground troops in Vietnam in early '72. My guess is around, or just before that, would be when he was recruited by Striker. I don't think he was on the team long in the movies. Kinda explains why he isn't close with anyone but Victor.
@@Donato420 but him leaving the team was a very significant event in Origins. So Stryker definitely would have remembered him.
the wolverine and logan were 2 of his best take on wolverine
I think Cable's time travel watch is something to do with this and it's him and Wolverine teaming up to have to save it and Deadpool chooses to stay in The MCU. Hyped for Deadpool 3 and hope to get Stewart's Xavier, McKellen's Magneto, Evans' Cap, Krasinski's Reed, Tom Hardy As The MCU Logan/The Wolverine.
Watching this, Days of Future Past is really an important thing for the X-Men universe. I treated it as the best, but not the most important, BUT NOW
And people are saying that the MCU is on a decline or is slowly dying.
The fact that Hugh Jackman is playing Wolverine after saying he was done with the character, and teaming up with Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. This movie is going to be massive.
I think Jackman's gonna be in and out as Andrew & Tobey. I'm not expecting anything more not to get heartbroken.
This refresher proves Logan never meets Captain America in WWII. Logan was on the Pacific front and Cap was on the Europe front of the war. :(

The DOFP Wolverine is the best bet, who has been a very good candidate to bear the Mind Stone potential (Loki with Time, Wanda with Reality, Logan with Mind)

I just re-watched the first X-Men and it is such a great movie! I hope that Hugh Jackman isn't the only mutant to crossover into the MCU, so many great actors from the Fox universe.
I'm hoping for the strongest, most ferocious version of Wolverine in Dp3* Preferrebly in the classic brown and yellow colors.

Kevin Feige said Deadpool will be a soft reboot in the MCU, and see as how this Wolverine is not the one we know, I am guessing he will also be the MCU version. Other words they were both born on Earth 616 👍
Then why call it Deadpool 3 if it’s not going to related to the two previous movies?

@@thegiftedfire3470 I think that’s why it’s a “soft reboot” and not a full reboot. Maybe they’ll still make references to some of the events from the past 2 Deadpool movies, but just retcon certain things to make those movies fit into the MCU.

The director of Wolverine knows what’s what. We want canon, but it doesn’t make those movies invalid
In logan, logan said that all of it was fiction and he and Charles also talked about the statue of liberty scene so I think Charles is also a nexus character (statue of liberty happened in the original time line). The director also said its like logan question about himself and past trying to understand what really happened (something like that). So I think the old logan is also kind of unsure about his time line and what is real and what's not (coz he's old duh).

Why can't DP3 just be set any time between 2023 and 2029 where Logan is still alive?
Would it be possible to get an updated timeline for the MCU post Endgame? There have been a lot of movies and shows since Endgame and only 2/3 years have passed since the events of Endgame so knowing exactly where they all slot in is a bit of a jumble, especially considering there isnt a lot of date stamps or references to other events!

What I think it will be is, Deadpool figuring out multiversal travel because of the end of #2. And then traveling to the fox-verse to "kill the fox-verse" but just couldn't bear to kill Wolvie. Bringing him into the proper MCU

Assuming Deadpool is still in his primary timeline, I’d also assume (based on the Xmen cameos in DP2, I’d say this Wolverine is probably the i e who ran off into the woods in Apocalypse. So this would need to be after Dark Phoenix. Again, assuming DP is still in his primary timeline.

Is the MCU about to rectify the timeline mistakes of the Fox's X men movies?
The original Xmen films and basically everything that ever referenced them are still my favoriet super hero films over anything the mcu has done so i have high hopes
Deadpool 3 being about letting go of the fox verse ( mostly wolverine ) would be amazing.
I also wouldn't mind Deadpool staying in the fox verse and using those actors in Deadpool only.
