very clear video and good to hear someone with the confidence to actually speak and tell people how to do it. I like the blue controllers so much that I recently replaced the ecu on my 5kw heater just so I could attach another blue controller and lcd remote. the old style ecu also opens up the possibility of using all the triangle plugged lcd screens. I also had to replace the wiring loom to. I have a 2kw diesel heater mounted to my driveway wall in a harwood ply box taking air from my kitchen and pumping hot air into my living room and at 2.0 Hz it uses about 14 pence of fuel an hour to heat my 2 bed semi detached house to 20 degrees C all day from 8am to middnight which is far more effiecient than our 32kw gas central heating boiler. Gas prices got to a point where our gas boiler was using around £12.00 a day to heat and cook on gas to now thats as little as £2.00 a day so runing the diesel heater has saved us a lot of money so far. When charities on the news go on about fuel poverty this is what they should be installing in peoples homes it might even save lives in the long run.
Finally a clear concise and well presented tutorial for adjusting the timer on these controls. Actually this is one few tutorials of any kind on YT that is done on a professional level regarding clear voice and video. LOL A rare art it seems. Anyway you have it aced. Thank you!
The timers in my blue controller were giving me a fit and I could not find any correct instructions. Once I figured it out, I thought I might save someone else some time. Thanks!
Thank you very much. What gave me a headache - I have the other controller (black one) and it works with this count down timer. Thanks for the video, it helped me a lot.
Thank you. I could not find out how the timer worked or how to set it . I have a 5 kw in my micro camper van and the timer function is nice when I'm going to bed I turn the heater off after it warm inside turn it off and then set the timer for 2 hours after I go to bed and it runs for 4 hours and when it cools down it's time to get up for work. Thanks again
There is an "automatic' mode but it only slows to min speed/heat when set point is reached. It will increase speed/heat as needed but it never shuts off.
You can select to run the heater in a sort of automatic/temperature mode or a manual/pulse mode by pushing 2 buttons at the same time (settings or OK button with one of the arrow buttons). In manual/pulse mode you change the pump pulse rate by changing the hz setting and the heater stays running constant at that setting. In automatic/temperature mode you set the desired temperature in Celsius and the heater will try to maintain that temperature by running at a higher setting until the desired temperature is reached then drops to low setting. Hope this helps. Thank you!
@@geenote and if you go into the settings inside the machine and raise the low setting to like say 2.1 when you're in the automatic mode it'll drop to the 2.1 instead of down to 16
The temp setting only controls the heat and blower speed. The heater will try to maintain the set point by speeding up or slowing down but never shuts off. Once the set point is reached, the heater stays on the lowest setting.
What happens if you set the heater on lowest setting (+8 degrees) and the heater reach that temperature? Will it automatically turn off and then turn on again when it gets colder ambient temp?
The unit will not turn off. It will just run on the lowest setting once the room heats up to the set point unit the room cools back down, then the unit will start to ramp back up trying to maintain the set point temperature. The controller has to be inside the room being heated to use the "temperature mode". I run mine only in manual mode.
Set timer 1 to 12:00 and set timer 2 for how long you want it to run. It will delay for 12 hours then start to run. It will run the amount of time entered on timer 2.
Unfortunately the timers have to be reset every day. Timer 1 delays the start time, timer 2 delays the shut down time. "12:00" in timer 1 would delay 12 hours before start, "13:00" in timer 2 would delay 13 hours before stopping, so the heater would wait 12 hours and run for 1 hour before shutting down with these settings as an example. After the timers complete the cycle, they have to be reset all over again.

Yes I think that is the same with mine. The time entered on timer 1 and 2 will normally stay entered in there but the timers turn off after finishing the cycle and have to be turned back on to use them again. I don't like how I would have to turn the timers back to "on" every day at the exact time every day to get the heater to cycle on and off consistently day to day. Seems like one should be able to set the time to come on and time to turn off and then just turn the timer on. Oh well... good thing every one doesn't thing like me. Thanks for pointing that out.
Does any English speaking person in the world know how "Plateau Adaptive Function" for altitude adjustment works on the new Blue or Red controllers with lcd remote? The digital black controllers are adjusted in Advanced settings by adjusting hgh low and pump speed/fan speed- know that. How do the blue controllers adjust with "Plateau Adaptive Function". Thanks in advance, frustrating search for info after marketing BS about it being "easy"
I have the blue controller and can use one of two different password numbers to access the factory screen. "1688" or "9009" will allow me to get into the factory screen and make adjustments to min and max pump rate and fan speed. Hope this helps.

No. It has to be reset every day.
Does this type of controller have an automatic mode where it adjusts to the desired temperature using a thermostat?
There is an "automatic' mode but it only slows to min speed/heat when set point is reached. It will increase speed/heat as needed but it never shuts off.

The temp setting only controls the heat and blower speed. The heater will try to maintain the set point by speeding up or slowing down but never shuts off. Once the set point is reached, the heater stays on the lowest setting.
Mine is the same style controller but doesn’t have half of these features like no clock but has a timer? And no option to pair the remote
You might be able to purchase the updated controller and just swap it out.

Try setting T1 for "now till on" and T2 for "now till off".
