I absolutely love this song. The way dark souls did the undead always intrigued me. I don't think there's any better song that could capture the despair and emptiness of going hollow. absolutely brilliant. I hope the artist gets a lot of support on band camp
In all honesty, I think a lot of people have this one in sleeping/listening playlist so it doesn't have your talking segment at the end. Like the Tanooki Suit video of Lordvessel, except this dude had nothing to do with it and hardly deserves to have it on his channel
Reaching for the last ember, waking in the abyss losing sight of who you once were. Going hollow in the midst of the chaos we find ourselves looking for more and more.
It conveys so many feelings at once.the sheer hopelessness of existence in the souls world.the inevitability of death and rebirth and death again, never allowed to have peace or the silence found in death or blissful old age.souls being no more important than the common coinage of any everyday kingdom.its a sad world we live in,but to the people of the souls world.its not just sad,it's hell, plain and simple.
You can sense desperation, in the lyrics - well in the sense of any good story, and as explained in such a way by yourself... I'd gotten to the conclusion that you've nailed it. Sigh, life as a shade of what we once were...? well that can be no easier of a trial, then say... Walking through the marshes of blight town, blind and battered, weakened by the dim-lit enviorment, impaled by several rusty weapons on the way down... not to forget that you have to endure this whilist rusty nails pertruding out of your joints... Bleeding, making the leeches a possible encounter amongst the many. Perhaps I'm using exesessive amount of details, or perhaps that's how it would look like in some shape or form. Either way, I'll take a bow in your honor with my hat off to thee - Impressed by your observations, constructing it back into words that leaves a mark. Bravo, simply bravo! :)
this song is a great summary of myself actually I have no soul I'm basically a hollow and the sun is my gaming life and its all crashing down! I'd want this song to be my funeral song actually irl
I have a question, i dont want to be with the rest of this world.. all i want is to go in the forest and live the rest od my life there Is something wrong with me ?
mmm.. idk i just dont feel this song as meaningfull as every one says it is... it has to little lyrics aside from the chorus and it just describes the feeling of loneliness that just isn't enought for me to really inmerse myself into that feeling
at the end i was expecting vaatividya's voice to snap me out of the immersion

He who fights monster take care, lest ye become a monster, and when one gazes long into the abyss, the abyss gazes back.
Hey guys, if you didn't know. Gwyn is the blacksmith. He never left.
This song is flawless
I think you should also link Vaati Vidya's page. He was incredibly influential in the making of this song and also deserves credit.
