For the title track of this Dark Souls inspired album, I had the pleasure of working with one of my personal favorite artists. Miracle of Sound has a powerful voice that lends itself well to fantasy rock, fitting in perfectly on this journey from the Undead Asylum to the high wall of Anor Londo. The track begins in despair and highlights the drive of the "chosen" undead to conquer the faded Lords of ages past, ultimately finding victory when the fire ignites again.

The interesting thing is that ‘I’ll quench the cinders’ desire to let there be fire again’ accounts for both endings, depending on the interpretation

@@lunaticmotorstormer there are 2 endings to dark souls. One where you reignite the flame with your own body and soul, effectively become the next lord of cinder. The other is where you leave the fire to burn out, and you become the dark lord. The line "I'll quench the cinder's desire to let there be fire again." Could mean you give yourself to the flame, giving it fuel, to "let there be fire." The other is to leave it, once it burns out, there's no need for fuel. Effectively "quenching" the flames need for fire.

@@mitchellneu strictly speaking it doesn't end the cycle, flames will eventually be lit again. and then the choice will have to be made again. it might change the exact way it happens but both linking the flame and letting it die will result eventually in a new age of fire and dark. I believe dark souls 2 lore went a bit deeper into this.

This verse alone finally hits me. Oscar, the knight in question was the one wanted to travel to Lordran, *not you* . You chose to rot in the asylum. *You merely inherited his mission* . You carry his will to rekindle the fire in his stead.
I was happy to say that despite not realizing it before, I was wearing the Elite Knight Set and Astora's Straight Sword all the way down to meeting and defeating Gwyn the first time. It feels like I do Oscar something honorable in finishing his mission with his equipment.

I find it kinda funny that all of Oscar's equipment is lying around basically scattered around the map nowhere near oscar.
But his gear is all pretty great, i would've finished the game with all of it had i not left behind the astota straight sword due to the rarity of twinkling titanite that i needed to upgrade it.

@@pocketinfinity6733 two of the biggest streamer in italy (Cydonia and Sabaku no Maiku) have made a collab in witch one has never played to DS and the other is the most expirenced player of the italian community, creating a lot of meme and a series of gameplay loved by the all italian community of DS. When they played DS3 they used this song in a beautiful opening resulting in a wave of their fan descovering Aviators (I apologize for every error in my message but as you can guess I'm not native speaker)

11 years late, but I just finished my first ever playthrough of Dark Souls and what a journey it was.
This song is quite perfect for how I feel now as I recall everything I went through during some of the most unforgettable 60 hours of my life.
Two of the most talented indie musicians out there, this song deserves ALL the recognition.
