    Regardless of anyone feeling about it, Jeep Wrangler 392 is the KING of all around vehicle whether you take it offroad or grocery getter lol. Amazing resale value now and long term. So many hate and jelousy out there. So many reasons why people buy Wranglers, not just offroading.

    Beautiful work! Nice attention to detail. That’s sometimes lacking when people are working on a vehicle that’s not their own. Appreciate you including the notes about various pieces like bump stops fitting, LCA skids, and etc.

    Looks good. I've got a 392 on order and plan on the same tires and lift kit. What gears and what backspace did you go with on the wheels? Also seems like too much bump stop in the rear? The tire isn't stuffing all the way, and with 4 inches of bump, wouldn't it be riding the bump stops all the time?

    • @MountZionOffroad
      @MountZionOffroad  Год назад +4

      Awesome! The customer chose 4.88 gears. Wheels are a -1, and were purchased for an initial setup the customer did with 35" tires. We had to add a 1.75" wheel offset adapter with the 38's. It It is not riding on bump stop all the time, it was an over/under situation and we'd rather have a little more bump stop to save the fender from the tire than too little and have contact there.

    But dude, are the rear shocks tuned and dampend for the front of the jeep? IDK, seams kinda sketchy to me. I'm a Teraflex guy myself, but with the bronze accents of the 392, I would have gone with metal cloak as well. The 3.3 Falcon adjustable shocks would have been my choice, and wouldn't have the hose issue. Love the build.

    • @MountZionOffroad
      @MountZionOffroad  Год назад

      We spoke with Fox about the shocks and the units we used on the front are perfectly suitable there. Falcon shocks are great, the customer wanted to go with Fox. Thanks for watching!

  • @heekisoffroad
    @heekisoffroad Год назад +1

    Kindly asking, why not upgrading the shock to the 3.0? Isnt it true the higher the price the better? Or is there something else to be considered?

    • @MountZionOffroad
      @MountZionOffroad  Год назад +1

      Vehicle weight is the strongest consideration. A 2.5" shock is rated up to 7500 lbs which this Jeep is still well under. A 3.0 would really only be a consideration on this setup for sustained high speed off road driving, such as desert racing.

    Would factory 4.56 gears on an XR work well with 38s? I am considering the Game Changer and either 37 or 38, the way this thing looks on 38s has probably made that decision for me though.

    • @MountZionOffroad
      @MountZionOffroad  Год назад +2

      You’ll want 4.88 or 5.13 gears for 38’s in a JL

    • @outsidewithdj
      @outsidewithdj Год назад +1

      Everyone will tell you to regear but those 4.56 are suffice realistically. Until you regear for something bigger like 40s you will be good if you don’t wanna spend that money on a regear

    What backspacing did you run on the wheels?

    • @MountZionOffroad
      @MountZionOffroad  Год назад +1

      The Titan Wheels are a -1 offset which worked with the customer's initial setup on 35s, but we needed to add a 1.75" hub spacer to gain the needed room for these 38's
