Theres just that specific something else when you have fresh farlic and ginger. My late mother in law always told me to use the fresh garlic n ginger and I do! But theres no real difference to the dish itself. Its just a thing lol

Hi how you doing . Yes I make sugar beans but I do ,I soak the sugar beans for about 1 hour with some bi carb on soda with boiling water Tjen I boiling it for about half hour then dispose of that water . I add fresh lot of boiled water and add a little baking powder ..The BP makes it cook soft quickly . I suffer with gastric ulcers so I add hing when I am braising my beans mixture. I hope it helps 🙏 🙂
