The trick on the beach with all the different cards is possibly my favorite P&T trick of all time. So simple, yet almost impossible to replicate, and with so many variations and such elaboration its incredible to watch.
Well if this isn’t the most 2000s thing I’ve ever seen I’m not sure what would be
Ikr? It screams mid july tv programming
I was one of the divers! I'm at 1:16:22 with a blue t shirt sleeve on my head. Also 1:20:32 I've never seen the show.
Nice! Did you enjoy being there live?

"If i were to be able to float in air i wouldnt have to do a tv show about it" lmao damn straight
Btw if anyone was wondering who the narrator is, yes it's Daran Norris (voice of Cosmo, among others, in The Fairly OddParents, among other shows and films)
Penn?
“In a certain sense we’re all down there, except none of us are drowning” nobody realised how literally true that was
Best thing is you left on the FBI warning about illegal distribution on the end of the video. Now that's real magic sized balls
The Aaron carter “concert” had me so dead lmao. Cheesiest yet a really awesome show
Lmao "we couldnt get curtains to work underwater"
No one questions that and he just keeps going.
I vividly remember watching this live on a tiny Panasonic TV when I was 16.
I actually DID catch on to the double, only I doubted myself. However, I've been binge watching Penn and Teller for a few days while sick, so maybe I really did pick up on some difference. If I had watched this at the first of the binge, I probably would never have wondered why he seemed different.
What double are you talking about?
@@whitleygainey3987 penn s double
The announcements before commercials were clickbait before clickbait was a thing
I love these guys, they're both nuts and awesome.
Whoever this Voiceover guy is better have been paid well. Because that intro was above and beyond
Nah too cheezy
This is a twenty minute show squeezed into two hours. Get the Fast Forwarding finger ready! ☺
Looking forward to hitting the right arrow button through Aaron Carter's bit...
Now I really want the space tourism industry to make space travel really cheap so these guys can do a magic trick in space.
what if they made the moon disappear?
Nicolaukk andre kole thought of seven ways to make real moon vanish hes excited that david copperfield going to breath life into his illusion and make it a reality God Bless
@@Nicolaukk The moon does disappear for a few nights every month. So where's the trick now if you could make the Sun disappear into Uranus, That would be a trick.😛
God damnit…
And I even thought I heard a helicopter when the bubbles started up…
thanks for the upload!
This is one of the best magic specials ever
Aaron Carter jokes. I need this in my life
Teller is so extra small and cute here (this 2005ish period was his era). 49:34 he whispers to Penn "EIGHT!" . Teller is so acrobatic and flexible and athletic but he kinda has a schlubby body (unlucky genetics). And they are both pretty hard-working.
He’s 5’9” which is pretty much exactly average height. Penn is just a giant human person.
@@doctorsuave Penn is 6'6".
43:22 Penn telling the fish to “pick a card” is hilarious 😆
😳😮
best part was teller going down the water slide.
love the deck of cards on the beach trick
What's cool is that my wife and I actually went down in that submarine as part of a excursion when we were on a cruise a few years back. It was absolutely cool and worth the money for the experience!
Sawing sound *inserted*
I wish they inserted the assistant underwater sound, who was probably 'Wtf some! Some air needed over here"
Trick with Zeke Zebrowski is done with a bunch of fishing lures-he actually has many on different parts of his body. E.g. if she choses the yellow one he turns around and then takes his shirt off(and shows yellow one on his back), if she choses the one she chose he shows her his stomach, if she choses a third one he shows her left leg, etc.
At least that's how I think it is done.
1 hour 39 minutes and 32 seconds of awesome!
You mean “1 hour 39 minutes and 31 seconds of awesome!”
who's else is out here , it’s 2023, binge watching penn and teller tho?
Personally I held my breath for the entire trick
the ending shot is cgi
penn and teller, taking rolling in the deep to a whole new level
The first time I watched this, I thought okay, when the curtain stops. The secret is: that Penn will drive off in the sub. I never in my mind expected what the secret was. I should have known better. Sleight of mind was used on the semi truck trick when it drove over Teller.
1:05:30 jee, good thing that lighthouse has 2 pools, just in case one of them breaks you know.....
I've been on/in a sub exactly like that one, in Hawaii. It was pretty damn cool
I love how penn talks about the tv restrictions, and now they have vr games which remove the restrictions
That is so much work
"If you could read! You would have been impressed!" rofl
41:00 they're always taking shots at Chris Angel & David Blane LMAO
For those not wanting to ruin the trick but still trying to figure it out just be aware you can actually hear how they do it during the trick itself.
I guessed right, I don't know why for some reason I was thinking of one helicopter, of course it has to be at least 3
THAT IS A SEESAW.
*closed my eyes.
*heard the chopper noise.
fuck :/
They should have sawed Arron Carter in half.. for real.
Josh and then made his body disappear
Penn and tell her will go down in history forever
I wonder how many suits they ruined doing this...
With a net worth of over 200million each they can afford it.!!
Since it's 15 years old they probly had 50+million each. They were headlining there own Residential shoes in Las Vegas back then & still now!! Ain't no other act fucking with them,#1 Longest, continues run'n show over 30 years.. they so smooth they even keep up with the Joneses, they have to constantly evolve & add new outrageous acts.like there fooled show giving other folks(majicians) a chance to show there stuff on P&T Huge platform, a win-win situation if they don't win, millions have seen your act so now I better get a manager because I'm sure your phone fina blow up
…at least 20 or so, right? I’m sure they have tons as to never run out, like there’s absolutely a truck load or two somewhere right?
Probably at least double that if they do any practice runs or some mishaps with paint/fire/etc and if they also happen to do those rehearsals in suits
Sounded like the compressors to me at the time and possibly for the divers too.
who would've thought Aaron Carter would be the one to die since this was made
Funny. I watched this on TV back in '05. All I remember is the blow-off of the sub trick

Attachment angles of those tow cables would mean they had to enter from the sides of that bubble curtain or the choppers would be on top of one another - plus rotor wash from that would be crazy, you'd definitely know from below that happened, and from the overflight you'd be able to see it. Mostly though, it's just not good CG.
My personal opinion is that they sank the sub by blowing bubbles through the sand to cause it to liquefy. The sub's rated pressure should take it.
53:40 Well... you won't necessarily _cramp_ from lesser bloodflow to your extremities, but it's _highly_ inadvisable to do any strenuous activity after "the biggest meal you want"... you won't cramp and drown or anything, but you can still upset your stomach by moving around too much after a heavy meal, lol.
Wonderful. But it made me very sad to see that cross cut saw submerged in saltwater
There is technically scientific logic behind not swimming after you eat, but in order to notice any appreciable difference in cramping you would have to eat basically an entire banquet and then swim at Olympic levels. So not likely in practice.
I love Penn´s humor :)
Surprised none of the divers who were on this show came on to comment on how it was done lol
They're all dead
lmaooooooo penn speaking to fishes "pick a card"
Yo! That's Daran Norris providing his best announcer act!
CGI helicopters to the rescue!
tropemaster LOL it looked like a resident evil CGI cut scene on GameCube before RE4 existed too.
Post the time please.
That voice, that voice! Why is it so familiar? Oh- it's Spottswoode from Team America!
that ending dude lol
Terrible lol
That ending looked like a movie.
epic, I love underwater stuffs :)
I really hope that the submarine is not a camera trick like that 'make the statue of liberty disapears' thing.
Well, It wasn't a camera trick. XD
looks like the choppers and the submarine at the last are animated.. the TRUTH is all those people under water works for Penn and Teller..and that is how its done..
So how they vanished that submarine. My guess is they rose it to the water surface, then it drove/was towed by other boats away quickly. That's why there's zero cameras and witnesses at the water surface. Only... Why did Teller move into position on top of the sub when it was on the ocean floor?
Penn is all about logical deduction. It could not have gone left/right/back/forth (surrounded on 4 sides by divers and cameras). It could not have burrowed into the sand (too much volume to displace. Penn scoffed at the buried sub idea). So the only way left is up!
good times..
Finding a helicopter that could lift 80 tons worth of submarine would be a magic trick in and of itself. Everybody complaining about the shitty CGI are kind of missing the joke, I think. They revealed every trick performed for the home audience. All misdirection so they could play the last one on us. Like they were going to spend the money on cgi. Or did they actually use helicopters and then made them look cgi? There was that helicopter sound. If they added that. Either way it would be genius.
Actually everything they seem to reveal, they do a different way. For example they showed a drawing of a saw in two where the boxes can't be separated, then separated the halves.
@@markhorton3994 exactly, the drawing also showed the women to bend downwards, but on the table they used there was no space to do that as you could see underneath. The trick wasn't done as they claimed it was. Some others I think were, though. Like with the women/fake penn coming out of the pink box. Or the trick with the cards under the sand.
PENN AND TELLER ROCK
didnt know three choppers could lift that much .. lol .
If you honestly wonder how the trick was done ... (and I can't imagine anyone wouldn't know) ... I'll give you one clue. Notice how he hammered the hell out of the idea that the divers were real. The divers are real. He gave some of the names and he asked some of them questions before the gag, but they didn't talk to any of the divers after the gag to get their reactions, That's about as big a clue as I can give without directly telling you how it was done ... Also the story of Penn's injury and the solution to his injury ... So FINE, FINE! I just gave you two enormous clues. That's the best I can do without revealing how it was done.
The 3 minute intro is hilarious 😂
Cool ★★★★★
Cut air hose? Sawed in half underwater?? Sounds suspiciously similar to a scene from the Penn & Teller movie...
Is the narrator timmys dad from fairly odd parents? I know hes a pretty prolific va especially for when this was made, so wouldnt be surprising
I love Penn and Teller, there hasn't been a show of theirs I did not like. Until this one. Good lord this was bad.
that's the narrator from Ka-Blam!!
"I'm dealing with a pro here"
I see what you did there....
The sub probably just drove away. It can't go down cause sand, it can't go sideways cause people, so it has to go up, and it didn't use helicopters, cause those things are damn expensive!
So....if Im correct the sub was CGIed yes? At the end I mean.
2006 CGI and 2006 Aaron Paul xD
RIP Aaron Carter
SPOILERS:
The submarine could never have been lifted into the air by three helicopters.
Its weight is 80 tons while the strongest helicopter in the world (MI-26) can only lift 20 tons.
what about helicopter that can lift a hole house in the air or army tank or jeep
From my perspective there where 3 helicopters
Banana Muffin and three times 20 is still only 60. In case you failed kindergarten, 80 tons is still too heavy for three helicopters that can carry 60 tons combined to carry.
But is it really 80 tons?
Nagorogan that hurt
the sub definitely looked CGIed. Also three helicopters can't carry that much weight. Looks like P&T fooled us again :P
an hour in and I still wonder if they will do some submarine trick....?????
guess I'm not used to this kinda tv show O_o
When Penn and Teller wanted to go on vacation and still get paid.
Lol its the most bad ass event ever like a party under water
I actually had forgotten Aaron Carter even existed.
i don’t know why but the caribbeans in 2005 looks like an alternate reality
Yes, it was CGI, obviously. It was supposed to be a joke. Although, that is probably the type of method they used.
so did Penn and Teller actually buy a submarine? if so, do they still have it, or did they sell it?
Zeke zabrowski! Greatest magician in the world
dolphin dolphin.. i love that dolphins :))
The Big Reveal!
Who did it better? Penn & Teller or Oceangate?
There’s only 2 explanations for the sub. It went below the sand or some if not all of the divers were in on it.
You guys are technically both wrong. There exists one helicopter in the history of this earth that can lift 40t+. the russian v-12 which lifted 44.2t back in the 69. It never entered production, so is not in service. for comparison the ch47, which is in service, has a max lift weight of not even half that. around 1/3. to contend that the lifting of 40t by a single frame is a readily met goal or daily triviality is a falsity of epic proportions.
Where did the sub go.... we all know it did not fly away without anyone seeing it..... BUT it is very possible it went down into the hole they spent two weeks prepping for the show.
They lied about the weight. Look up the subs, they run 20-30 tons.
Series 1 was 50ft long weighing 49 tons with operating depth of 150ft and series 2 and 3 were 65ft long weighing 80 tons with operating depth of 250ft
Oh yeah
I disagree with the name. Saying that they've gone off the deep end implies that they were once actually sane. lol
You could use several helicopters but not like that video shows. Nicely done.
