- Walk around an empty Oxford city centre and its main sights, from March 18th 2022. This walk takes in a number of interesting areas in the city and was made better by the eerie mist that descended on the city that morning. Many areas of Oxford University are featured.

Almost thirty years ago my wife and two young teenaged children and I made this very walk as we toured Oxford during our vacation in Great Britain, Ireland and the continent. Twenty years before that, as a single man, I walked around these very streets throughout a sleepless night, waiting for a morning train to London. Great memories....thank you!

I've been in plenty mists and thicker than this, but usually out in forest or other landscape.
Only once has it been thick inside the city, and it felt weird. Only lasted a few minutes tho :/

I was born in Oxford, went to college and worked in Oxford. I love every inch of it and am currently missing being there. Thank you for a wonderful video it makes me feel extremely nostalgic.
I lived on St clements Street for a few years in the mid 80s. Went to New college for one term. My mum had a afro hair shop on st clements Street

I’ve lived in oxford for 22 yrs and still to this day everytime I go in early morning and the streets are empty I still realise how lucky I am to live here

Thank you :) Quite a change from the usual blue skies and tourists video`s. As a retired Oxford academic of some 30+ years, this video reminded me of the many chilly cycle rides to college made each morning, swathed in layers of warm clothing !!!!

@@healingandgrowth-infp4677 In a manner of speaking - indeed.The thirty plus years I mention included my student years through to my Doctorate, followed by quite a few years as a college lecturer, concluding with a full Professorship until reirement - the years do pass :)

I lived and studied in Oxford for 4 years. I miss it so much. This video brings back so many great memories.

Oh my goodness, I remember such beautiful mornings cycling around Oxford and the surrounding countryside all draped in gorgeous fog and sparkling with hoar frost. Such a magical place

I lived on Abingdon Road a few blocks and same street as Christ Church. I attended Oxford at Hertford College. I walked these streets frequently. This brings back memories.
ive always wanted to study at oxford just purely because of how it looks, this is why historic buildings should be protected and not always demolished for skyscrapers

I am so lucky to have been born and bought up in prestige Oxford for the last 34 years. I love my historical city, can't imagine living anywhere else.

With the mist and older buildings you could almost imagine what it might have looked like a few hundred years ago!
I grew up in this lovely city , but sadly we had to leave when I was 17, and part of me will alway call it ...home!
Went back for a visit approx 10 yrs ago and it was so much busier and very nostalgic.

We took a train from London to Oxford last week!! It was beautiful!!! They were having a ceremony for honorary degrees!!! The sidewalks were filled with people. This walk is so much more peaceful. Thank you for this wonderful view.

I live in Manchester, UK. I have never seen a blue sea or sunny beaches anywhere in Britain like you have in Fiji. Virtual Tourism for me too. I had been to Oxford once. To me it looked like a city designed by intellectual introverts for intellectual introverts.

It's so beautiful. Ever since I was a little girl, my dream was to go to Oxford. Sadly, I'm 30 and, through bad grades and hardships I've been through, I don't think I'll ever get in there and be a student. At least there are videos like this that make me dream.
Don’t give up. I went to uni at the age of 49. Loved learning as a mature age student.
