Almost thirty years ago my wife and two young teenaged children and I made this very walk as we toured Oxford during our vacation in Great Britain, Ireland and the continent. Twenty years before that, as a single man, I walked around these very streets throughout a sleepless night, waiting for a morning train to London. Great memories....thank you!

I've been in plenty mists and thicker than this, but usually out in forest or other landscape. Only once has it been thick inside the city, and it felt weird. Only lasted a few minutes tho :/
I’ve lived in oxford for 22 yrs and still to this day everytime I go in early morning and the streets are empty I still realise how lucky I am to live here
I was born in Oxford, went to college and worked in Oxford. I love every inch of it and am currently missing being there. Thank you for a wonderful video it makes me feel extremely nostalgic.
I work for the University and this is my office, I see the city day and night throughout the year, I quite literally have a great job. Thank you for making and sharing this film.
Oxford is so beautiful and peaceful in the early morning. Probably the safest time of day to be out walking as well. Thank you for this amazing walk through Oxford.
Thank you. This is my favorite video on RUclips. I have watched it so many times. I lived in Oxford for one year as a young student but I was never up at 5am to take a walk like this. If only I could go back and do things differently...
Thank you :) Quite a change from the usual blue skies and tourists video`s. As a retired Oxford academic of some 30+ years, this video reminded me of the many chilly cycle rides to college made each morning, swathed in layers of warm clothing !!!! Bravely done - many thanks :)

I was ignoring RUclips suggesting this video for several days. But now I am here, and let me tell you, this is VERY atmospheric! I'm enjoying it so much!
I lived on Abingdon Road a few blocks and same street as Christ Church. I attended Oxford at Hertford College. I walked these streets frequently. This brings back memories.
ive always wanted to study at oxford just purely because of how it looks, this is why historic buildings should be protected and not always demolished for skyscrapers
Wowww!! Thank you for this! I am watching from Fiji, never been to UK at all, virtual tourism for me right here! Enjoyed this very much and the sound of your footsteps adds a hint of ASMR to it!
I live in Manchester, UK. I have never seen a blue sea or sunny beaches anywhere in Britain like you have in Fiji. Virtual Tourism for me too. I had been to Oxford once. To me it looked like a city designed by intellectual introverts for intellectual introverts.
With the mist and older buildings you could almost imagine what it might have looked like a few hundred years ago! I grew up in this lovely city , but sadly we had to leave when I was 17, and part of me will alway call it ...home! Went back for a visit approx 10 yrs ago and it was so much busier and very nostalgic. Thanks for this great video.
We took a train from London to Oxford last week!! It was beautiful!!! They were having a ceremony for honorary degrees!!! The sidewalks were filled with people. This walk is so much more peaceful. Thank you for this wonderful view.
You started off with the beautiful Ashmolean on the left where I work, I could see we still had our Pissaro exhibition advertised, it's now finished but we have a new coming the Pre-Raphaelite exhibition, come and see it in July 2022!!
A zillion thankyous for this journey down Memory Lane, my university. Heaven knows why the algorithm favoured me with this atmospheric video. My compliments to the early riser.
It's so beautiful. Ever since I was a little girl, my dream was to go to Oxford. Sadly, I'm 30 and, through bad grades and hardships I've been through, I don't think I'll ever get in there and be a student. At least there are videos like this that make me dream.
This is really nice and atmospheric! I've only ever visited Oxford once, and it was on a busy bustling Saturday afternoon, so a completely different atmosphere. Thanks for sharing.
So beautiful. Surprised Oxford center appears so empty. I remember walking through Oxford in cold February years ago, and surprised at how busy the traffic was.
I lived for a while on a boat opposite Christchurch meadows - lovely - except for the local geese, who woke up at dawn and would start doing what geese do ie conversing. In mid summer, that was between four and five o'clock...
im in oxford pretty often as i live extremly close but this was a wonderful new look at the city. I love this video thank you for sharing! was very funny to see my bus stop and where i meet up with my friends in a youtube video though haha
There's something magical about Oxford, isn't there? No matter what the weather, it always seems perfect! If it's nice and sunny, you can go walkabout. But equally, if it's pouring with rain or cold, you can sit in some cosy little coffee shop and enjoy a hot chocolate and watch the world go by. Last time I was there, it was raining (ie summer) so I had some fish 'n' chips in the pub where Tolkien and CS Lewis used to drink. Amazing little place.
