  • This video goes into how to reconnect or reprogram on a Ford Territory or Falcon to unlock & lock, change the locking strategy, and set the fob to the electric memory seats.
    This particular Territory is a 2008 GHIA model.

    My fob unlocks but won't lock so this was good because it ruled out the actuator being the problem because if I locked it before the sequence, it self locked the car after. Lucky I had my wits about me because I just about got out of the car and it might have locked me out. There is some corrosion on the circuit board so I'll try soaking in isopropyl first before buying a new fob. I have rescued a few well-gone phones that I have got wet with that trick. 🤞
    Cheers mate.

    Thanks mate! Our house just got broken into :( Wondering if you reprogram the key fob can the old key still start the car?

    • @678ville
      @678ville  Год назад +1

      No problem mate.
      Yes if you reprogram your key, the system goes into training mode and wipes all the existing keys from memory. You then have to reconnect any keys to the system. So the key that was lost/stolen will not register (that’s what I experienced with my 2 keys and how I understand it from the manual). The issue still remains that you can still use the keys manually I guess.

    Will this process work (programming a new fob key) if my original ford key (only key) is not a fob?
    I just bought a 2nd hand 2005 territory and having to stick the key in the drivers door to lock/unlock is doing my head in 😅

      Hey Paul, good question mate. I've spoken to a local Ford Dealer about this before. And at the time they said depending on the year/make of the car you have to email them the VIN number along with some proof that it's your car like rego papers showing your name and address, for obvious reasons. From there they contact Ford Australia to see if they can get a copy of the key created for you. It's not a guarantee but that's one of the options. You could probably try Ford Australia yourself to cut out the middle man. Good luck mate...hope this helps👍

    Hi mate just wondering what the frequency is for the key fob?
    And is it the same frequency for 2005 Territorys and later models?
    Thanks in advance. 😊

      Hey mate, sorry I have not gone down to that technical detail with it. I'd have a guess and say yes. A quick google should confirm that for you. From what I'm seeing they should be 433Mhz but I'm not 100% sure mate. You might have to go to Mr Minute or someone like that to confirm if you can't find much on the net.

    We recently, bought a fob, programed it, all locks work, but if we use the new key to start the car, it turns over then cuts out, did we but the wrong remote, should we have got one with an alarm button on it, the one we have has door locking and boot only.

    • @678ville
      @678ville  11 месяцев назад

      I'm not 100% sure sorry. But it sounds like you have a similar one to the aftermarket one I've got ( in the video). Did you get the key cut to the original key? Does the original key do the same thing to the car?

    • @dianegreen6513

    I never got an orginal fob (brought car second hand) I recently got an after market key like yours in the video but the process doesn't work. I did eventually find there was a small chip that came with the new key. Where/what do I do with that?

    • @678ville
      @678ville  Год назад

      @kirsteymcmartin502 I'm not 100% sure. Where does the process fail? Did the chip separate to the key/fob? Where did you get it from? eBay?

    • @kirsteymcmartin502
      @kirsteymcmartin502 Год назад +1

      When I start doing what you did it doesn't do anything. Like the key works cause I got it cut but even the demister button on the actual car doesn't seem to do anything. I go my key from Remote Pro. Looks just like the one you where using in the video. I have a 09 territory if that makes any difference

    • @678ville
      @678ville  Год назад

      @@kirsteymcmartin502 It's rare that the demister stops working. But can you start the car and test that it works first? Could be stopping it from programming the key. Was the chip you found separate to the key fob? If so then you may need to open the key up to see if there is a chip inside and a battery??? I know I'm digging at the bottom of the bucket, but I'm just going on not seeing it in person

    • @678ville

      @kirsteymcmartin502 how did you go? Or you still trying to figure it out? Maybe you need to go back to Remote Pro to find out. I'd like to know how you resolve it please 😀
