Go J series? That's a horrible idea, don't get me wrong they're good motors and he's wrong about practicality. A J series swap makes perfect sense if you want a quick daily driver that can cruise, get good gas mileage depending on the weight of the car, and really pull so that you can merge onto the highway. But racing wise there's not as much support, you'd be competing in a V6 class, and your not as light as you would be in a K swapped car which is what Hondas are good at. Engineering wise the SOHC VTEC in the J series is only on the intake side which means it SUCKS compared to the K series DOHC i-VTEC. As far as maintenance wise a J series that's been shoe horned into a Civic or Integra is going to be about as much fun and easy to work on as a Twin Turbo 300ZX and don't forget you'll probably have to butcher your baby and cut a massive hole in the hood to get it to fit. Not mentioning the real bottle neck of all swaps, parts availability, a manual transmission for a J series swap is about as easy to find as a Virgin in college and a manual transmission with an LSD, which is the one you're going to want with all the torque a J series makes, is even harder to find. The list goes on, the point is there are more cons than pros for a J series swap when compared to a K series that this guy didn't point out simply because he hasn't researched the swap in its entirety. If you want a practical and quick daily that could pull on 80% of what's out there then yeah go J series with an auto swap, it'll be cheap and effective but if you want to build a competitive street/track car then go K. There's a reason all of the Top FWD Time Attack Cars are K powered and not J.
+Jacob Flores Believe it or not J series is used in the lower end time attack classes because in stock or close to stock form it has way better torque/hp because of the displacement. Drag racing is a completely different story so i cannot talk about that. K series i will agree is better in the higher hp range and J is better for the stock-ish swap in an EG/DC. J series is definitely not practical and depending on j choice the intake mani will stick out the hood making it not the most daily friendly. If you want a quick daily just boost it 👌
That's cool I didn't know that. I should mention I was referring to the Top FWD Unlimited Time Attack Cars. You won't necessarily have cut the hood if you have the adjustable Hasport mounts but the you have to choose between ground clearance or hood clearance. Still have to disagree with you when it comes to practicality though, a Auto J swaped Civic or Integra would be very stout on the highway, great on gas, and as long as the swap was done well and with as most OEM parts as possible it should be reliable. I don't know how that's not practical, will it be a little loud? Depending on the exhaust system but other then that an Auto J series should be very tame. The K series is an overall better engineered motor. Who wants to run a boosted D series when you could use that money to pay for a motor swap, and then boost it.
Jacob Flores you'd be surprised how many people constantly comment about how D series is still good/relevant and how you shouldnt doubt it. Nowadays anything is possible. Its all about money to power ratio ( unless you are rich)
Miton Films No I wouldn't because I've seen them, the D series basically has a cult following which has got a few merits, but the cost to power ratio of that motor is too high unless you're rich, blind to the benefits of the other motors available, or just really love the D lol
Jacob Flores the cost of dseries is stupid cheap and you can rebuild a d series and turbo it for under 2000 properly the rebuild kits are cheap and ebay turbo and hit a reliable 300whp for way cheap. ofcourse id still go with the h2b which is my current setup
Actually the H series can be one of hondas most powerful engines, at least in stock form. Ive got a H22A Type S they make 217hp which is pretty great for a stock engine. Yes its heavy and it doesnt make power with bolt ons like a K series would, but man is it a sleeper motor. So quiet in daily driving but once you get over 4000 rpm it screams
i beat the shit out of a 2000 SH, with the H22a4/5spd for 2 and a half years of daily driving had 200k miles on it, windshield and quarters were rotten so i sold it, have another car on the go, just picked up a black 04 TL its auto but 150k miles just a few bubbles, i really would like to build a BB6 though, probably the next project
Stock for stock, the j32a2 and the cl-s 6 speed will eat any other swap. Bolt ons and suspension and you have a very manageable 300hp beast. I did my j swap in a ek Civic and it runs mid 12s. Really only took me about 3k, doing all the work myself. It's heavy, and has more torque then necessary for daily uses. But coilovers, traction bar and bushings and you can corner with the rest of them. The hasport mounts are adjustable so you don't have to cut the hood. Makes for the ultimate sleeper. Just my opinion. Been driving my j swap daily for about 3 years. No issues.
I swapped J35Z2 5A/T in my Sentra almost 2 years ago and I love my car now more than ever. The only sad thing is that we don't have that many choices of J series here in Thailand.
@@trenton6621 the only D series I find as a good option for performance it's the D16A1 a.k.a the DOHC D series or the B16A non-vtec it's good because it's a DOHC engine while a SOHC D series it's pointless and gutless just like a SOHC F series F20B bluetop and the F20C are great too
@@giancarlolugo9586 I have d15 with d16y8 head p29 pistons, oversized valves and bisimoto x cam valve job port and polish, ported intake manifold, 68mm throttle body, uel header making 180hp, also can run small amount of nitrous and I got a 4.90 final drive
honestly j series puts you in a different class when it comes to racing your a v6 so you go up against a entire different crowd that's why no one goes j series now k series and h2b keep you in the 4 cylinder class.
+Jason Jackson Actually this is very true but....In Global Time Attack you are allowed to do those kind of swaps and stay in street class...but i hear what you are saying
Miton Films maybe on the east coast but on the west v6 class is v6 class bro so when you go j get ready to go.against supras and Grand Nationals and other cars that make way way way more power than that j series. only class I know of on the west is the outlaw class which is a anything goes class but unless your ready to go up against some of the top companies you may wanna stay away from outlaw class
also a v6 fwd class is basically non existent with 4 fwd you have so many options thats why there are so many people in it also if you were to build a car for competitive world time attack not many people would plan to start with a fwd if they had a choice
my opinion as a J30 accord owner... Go K series if you have the money to do it. J series has almost no aftermarket support compared to K. But im sure sooner or later it will get better.
J30a5 Accord J series are slowly getting a lot of aftermarket support. Just give it a few more years. Current j32a3 accord owner here saying Ks are way overrated
Euro r h2b tuned on hondata s300. Sleeper style surprising a lot of people. They don't expect to lose to a 30 year old Honda which is why I love it. The gearing on the b series is what keeps it in the powerband. 4.7 lsd itr trans with plateless kit.
@@austinvilla6401 more powerful? No. But they make good torque down low, unlike the k series. Also, under a moderate amount of boost they do well, easy to squeeze 350hp out of, on a serious budget. Personally love the Gen 5 prelude I have, and the engine has a strong low noise, rather than the rattle tin can sound of most Honda engines.
J32 is underrated, just an amazing engine that responds well to mods, plus who doesn't love the sound of a V6? especially with V-tec? I just wish there more parts for them :(
it is nice when you do these discussions keep it up. I am doing a kswap on my channel an I have no mechanical nor any ASE credentials, all u need is to research and hours of it. the kseries is overated yes but it has a better HP per liter than the jseries and the jseries isn't that easy, you still have to remove the spot welds from passenger side mounts, cut out or get a ktuned shifter box and wiring harness. Hondas best engine is the f20c and f22c fron factory and people still swap them for the k20 because of how advance it is. if you are looking for easy and quick power just go boosted B,D or H series.
in stock form, but the J and K can't be swapped and stay in stock form, they have to be modded, mod for mod regardless of number output, the K series outdoes the other two. The J is a great engine though, it needs more aftermarket support and it's dated. The bigger current J series engines aren't so simple to swap.
The J Series is simply a novelty engine swap, nothing more than something different (cool to see, and props mostly about swap achievement but that's it). Performance wise - Sure, you'll have a bump in power over most stock engine swaps, but that's pretty much where you'll stay unless you get Custom parts made - And even then you'll still be getting pulled on by those with built K, H, and B series.
Stock for stock, b series V-tec is the best in my opinion. Doesn't have many random misfire issues, high rev all day, gets the most abuse ever(besides the single cam), and will keep going strong even over 200k+ miles. I've seen K series take a dump before 100k miles w/out the excessive abuse.
Then you don't know ks. Timing chain and tensioner replacement at 150k miles and I've never seen them bend valves when they skip a tooth when you let it go too many miles. Aftermarket cams are risky especially since junk2 (aka skunk2) started making cams for ks. Just stay away from aftermarket kseries cams and your good to go... unless your cruising for a bruising at the school of hard knocks. About 1-2% of the kseries cams do last but just be warned.
Darkblast 2612 transmission is exactly the same just turned around 180degrees. It's the donor car that abused it due to the crappy CMC that comes factory on 2001+ manual tranny honda/acuras (excluding the corrected cmc out of the em2 civic).
10k to go k? lol that's alittle steep. k is more expensive , but worth it. patients is key don't fall into the hype and try to buy everything at once. everything takes time.
If you're going racing do a K, the variable cam timing is superior and there is a ton of support for it. But for less money than a K, H, or J swap you can turbo that b18b and beat all those swaps.
I love h series but the only down fall when building it is the frm sleeves. I can honestly tell this guy haven't ever touched an h. If you know what your doing with them the h is far better than the k. The f23a1 with a h22a head is pretty sweet also I believe it's called a g23 if I'm not mistaken
I really like my 2001 honda accord F23A1, wish they had more aftermarket parts for them. Thinking about H22 swapping it since it's practically a bolt-in with a little wiring. Considering I manual swapped mine due to a terrible baxa automatic transmission it had in it.
yup I’ve got an f23 bro u should look into the g 23. Frankenstein build Essentially we would put an h series head on our f 23 and would gain everything that we need from an h series like compression etc for a fraction of the price
People dont really consider H series too much any more. They are big and heavy compared to a B series but you get a lot of bang for your buck there when comparing the two. The top of the B series B18C5 is gonna cost you at least a few thousand dollars, but still doesnt produce the same amount of torque that the H does. You can find a H series on ebay with free shipping right now for $500-$800
my 2 cents the cheaper way to do a J swap if finding a T bone TL-S at the junkyard buy it as a donor car for 450 to 700 get ur long block 3.2 and tranny. and continue from there. peace
I drive a 06 sixspeed v6 sedan accord. And believe me, the J30a5 is such a beautiful engine. It's quick in stock form. I just wish there was more aftermarket support for them. Basically all we can do is intake exhaust. Then slap a tl ecu in it and run Hondata. It sucks that there's no love for them because in stock form they can hold a great amount of Powers reliably too.
When it comes to the j series it I honestly the best for everything other than racing. For those interested in the J series for racing, it's good if you are a good engineer. Other than that I would wait until the aftermarket get's bigger. When I say wait I mean buy a j series with a manual now before they get expensive, and hold it until the aftermarket gets better.
What about G series 5 cyl engines by Honda? I don't hear a lot about those engines, probably because of their lack of aftermarket and tune-ability, but I'd really appreciate hearing your opinion about it.
I almost bought a K for my 99 honda accord thank you for making a clear step by step video on the different motors definitely going to look into the J series for my car now
J Series. Like you said, it's different - not many have done it, it's still pretty rapid for fast road, sounds (IMO) better, looks awesome, if you're smart about it you don't have to cut a hole in the bonnet (hood) and with some gentle breathing mods and ECU work you can look at close to 300bhp for less than the cost of a K swap. I did mine because why not? It's not an engine we get in the UK so it was hard ass work to get it right, but it's just about there and if you stick my car next to a K series car, I'd love to see which got more attention with the bonnet open.
should definitely clear 300bhp with just a tune and yeah probably intake. I'm not sure how much power can be made with bolt ons and a tune, but you'd also be able to do forced induction without needing new rods and pistons as long as you keep it under 500bhp. Once you have all forced internals, that block lasts until around 800... most people probably don't want to deal with pushing it that much but with forged internals and a tune, it'll definitely last forever and still have more than enough power
I’ve had a CL-S, 13 accord V6 & a 09 Si loved all 3 motors. Because of the lack of aftermarket for the J, I say K all the way.... And I’m not a Honda guy.....I race bikes.
Do Boy's Garage J32A2 VETEC in an 1988 CRX SI with a small sensable shot of Nitrous to lightly fog just to help hold the rpms up and remain in the power band with an automatic sequential shift transmission for faster, smoother shifts while maintaining more efficient traction with a nice soft set of soft wide sport tires, maybe drag D.O.T.S. to help stick the less than 2,300 LB Super Hot Hatch to the pavement and Hustle and embarrass a big part of all the Momma and Daddy sponsored little spoiled ones out there in there factory, dealership built racecars that half of them can't tell you anything about them other than what there Daddy's had showed them in the brochure. Then you smile while you collect your money from them as there girlfriends stare in confusion and disbelief and ask how did that little, old car beat this one, and why are we paying so much a month on this one?
Had to dislike the video, this fool just said The K series is hype. I mean with the reputation it has, it lives up to it. It's overall the better engine. Jk, I thumbs up 😎
Zosh When we both have the funds to run these types of test i will show you that J series will pack a punch! its v6 lets be real here.....250hp and 230-240wtq?! Thats a built k right there😎
my mecanic start to swap j-series on ek civic since 2 years retty amazing want more info about the swap go on facebook and search for chez honda physique
As a J series owner, here are couple of things I want to mention. J series are awesome V6 motors that can be found in a lot of cars, but they are lack of aftermarket support. The performance mods for j series are literally nothing compared to what you can get with K series. For example I only know skunk2 makes couple of cams for J series and that's about it. As far internals, no one really makes crank, piston and rods for J series, I know you can get high compression ratio pistons but I don't think much people will risk 12:1 CR As for forced induction, again, not much products you could get. They are couple of superchargers you could get but thas about it. I really wish more manufacturers would introduce us with something, but I'm not really sure about it.
Everyone talks about the J32A2, and I loved mine in my CL, before it blew. But no one talks about the J35A3, or better yet, a J35A3 with J32A2 heads & cams. Now that's a beast.
u take a h22 and add 15psi of boost and it touches around 500 -600 rite there youre rapping the k and thats on a stock block at that go to boostedbois channel check his red hatch
Luis Viera boostedbois are on sleeved and built block. K series have been known to make over 700 hp on stock motor. There are no Honda motors that compare to a k series
Luis Viera and idk i never heard or saw a stock internal k running 700hp or even 600 seen some in the 300"s all day but i couldn't afford the 10k for the typeR swap n tune so i got a H2B redtop itr 98spec trans n goodies n tune
K series are high revving monsters perfect for boost, factory forged The H series is a crazy smooth, even powerband great for all motor power, and so decently under boost. And hey, the gen five prelude is one of the best looking Hondas ever! The B series are perfect for wind it to the moon style engine builds. Love them all. The H22 is a perfect balance for almost any small chassis Honda. Pair it with the F23 engine block, for the iron piston sleeves, and breath some boost into it. Cams/Porting go a long way aswell, seeing that it is a great flowing head.
F20b is going to be my choice. super under rated motor and the cheapest out of all of them. pretty much a stroked gsr and with some cams and valve springs you can rev at 9k all day.
Emanuel Sacriste I think its because they're getting old...? Or because these engines being compared are high displacement vs B series you could barely get a 1.8L without massive mods... I've heard of people building on B20s, but that must be a huge pain considering they didn't have VTEC (and the tuners made them VTEC)... Must've been some B20 with B16B shit in it
I drive a 2017 Accord Coupe J35 the engine has good power and torque that easily spins its wheels. car feels a bit on the heavy side with the Automatic but moves great!.
I agree on J series being a good choice. I bought a TSX v6 with the J35. In that car I can run with the mustang v6 and Lexus is350 no problem stock. It's almost a great sleeper when you swap down to the stock TSX 17" rims using 235/50/r17 tyres. While speedtraps are on the look out for the Mustangs, Civic Si and Focus ST, I can travel with ease. Plus you can throw the v6 accord supercharger in this motor to boost it to 380hp+.
H series is underrated, better be that way so that us admirers can have it in low price! Also if someone seeking for true Honda Symphony then H can deliver to them through those performance exhaust!
I have seen a J series in a Del sol. they had to mod the hood, but with a car that light and an engine that beasty, that del sol posed a threat to a lot folks hating on hondas out there.
I had an h22a years ago. Maybe around 11-12 years ago. Ordered straight from Japan and shipped thru freight. On the paper it said it weighed 400 lbs. Swapped it in my old EG hatch...
And yet all the top racers in Japan buy spoon engines and they only make b series and k series engines :). Love the h series but a k24 is the best way to go for a honda if you want as much power as possible.
preludeF20Bking anything can be built to beat another... but h22 doesn't touch k series numbers. ever. they are just a poor man's k swap. real builders know where to spend there money. k or b series
After reading the comments I learned go buy any car and any engine you want, because it's your money spend how you like. Every one is subject to their own opinion. At the end of the day if you like it then fuck it drive off into the sunset lol
I've done multiple swaps and I can tell you they are disappointing unless your adding a significant amount of displacement. The cost and work of a twin screw supercharger with forged pistons, titanium connecting rods and stronger head studs will be less than or equal to the cost of a swap but will give many-fold power gains over what a swap will. My advice to anyone wanting to swap is drive a swapped car first, my bet is you wont end up swapping after you see first hand that 50 or 60 extra peak horsepower with little to no horsepower and torque increases through most of the power band is very disappointing.
what most people don't understand is a lot of the previous records in ihra and nopi were set with the h series but thru further development with the K series I really don't see much of a comparison. Is it an over rated platform? yes but so was the b series if it works it works. as stated before the J series is an expensive option not matter how you look at it and working in those confined spaces will be a nightmare. to each it's own I personally believe the h2b is just as competitive as the K. even with outdated parts....
h22a is not only prelude .... its ATR prelude and 9 of the 10 h22a leaves k20 in the dust, h22a swap is the same amount of work then a k, come to holland they are wild about the H because the engine is better em stronger then a k serie, pleas post a vid like this if you know what you know :)
Jeoffrey Rosman no h block is stronger then a k, show me a video of a stock sleeve h series hitting 800whp or a fully stock block hitting 500 whp and I'll believe that. Every truly fast Honda is either b series or k series and that's a fact top 10 sfwd all b's and k's and the k's arnt touched in all motor
Tbh I'm all about that b series. Mainly because that's what my teggy has but it's a nice platform to build on. Seen a teggy with 750whp with a b18c5. He didn't say all of his mods nor did he allow me to take photos I want my teggy like that
H22a1 closed deck block. 15 psi of boost and f22a transmission. You'd have a stout 550 ish HP and nicely long gearing for broad use of power. O and btw it would be stupid cheap. Even with shop labor
What do you mean J series isn't practice I daily drove one for a good year rain or shine with the 3.5 sticking out of the hood in California. It's a stock engine (Honda reliability). It's as practical as the K series. Meaning you'll need an ecu axles shift linkage custom harness motor mounts, and a good tunner. However I don't think a k series will put down 317hp and 305tq with just a tune stock engine NA.
A great engine to create sleepers, show cars or race in the streets. But it does set you in a V6 class. Would be nice to just own best of all 3 worlds ...
If I could have my choice, I would choose the Civic Type-R 2.0 Turbo. Like, if I got lucky and was able to buy an insurance totaled Type-R with the engine in good shape for cheap (but being that lucky would be kinda like winning the lottery I guess?)
I love k series it is for sure the best motor to swap but for the money i dont think i can spend 10k just to have the k20 or k24 dropped in my car. Its not the engine thats expensive its the parts and you cannot cheap out on k series, kpro alone costs an arm and a leg. Not to mention even a fully built k trans is a ticking glass time bomb. Power for money id definately say h2b is the best to go. B series trans are way superior to k in terms of strength and reliablity and theyre cheap. The adapter plate isnt much money and the h series engine isnt that expensive either. Yea you cant beat technology but honestly most people that go k dont build their car to be at full potential so whats the point of dropping 10k just to have 220hp when you can get that out of an h series or a properly built b20v? Not hating on k its a great motor but for the money i dont think its really worth it. My mechanic has over 10k on his k24/20 with a 4piston head and forged internals, JUST the motor alone. Most people go K series just to say "yea bro i have a K series hehe". Unless you're really looking for some sfwd or 1320 type of power id say look at the other swap options.
Miton Films yea its really crazy. You have to have painfully deep pockets to go K. Anybody who says otherwise doesnt know anything about going K. Even my friend who tried to budget it as much as possible he ended up spending 8k doing the work himself its ridiculous. Like i said most people go k just to say they have a k series they keep it in the 200-240hp range which is pointless and stupid if you invested 10k just to drop the motor in your car. Im still leaning on building the bottom end on my LSV and going turbo but an h2b build is still an option im thinking about.
If I wanted to do a J swap with an automatic transmission, would that be smart for a good daily? That’s really all I’m trying to build is a nice, fast daily
I am kind of glad that the j series gets so overlooked, here in spain the difference between a honda 4 cyl and a v6 is 3 or 4 times the price in many cases, pair that with how cheap you can get a bmw or similar with a 90hp diesel and you might be able to get a full car for around 1500 euros, it's a shame that legislation here makes almost impossible to make those swaps road legal so it would be purely for track use, still, pretty budget friendly i would say
No dislikes here for being honnest. I d still prefer to see B under the hood of my crx. Because thats what I dreamt of when I was a kid. Nostalgia bro. All good if its all honda. Liked the video.
J-Series all day. I have a 2004 Accord V6 6-speed Coupe. And I am so glad I got V6 J30 Series. This is the first Honda I've ever owned and I knew nothing about them when I bought the car. Yeah having a timing belt sucks. But have gotten so good at working on the motor now it doesn't even bother me anymore. I will never go to Accord 4 cylinder. My boss has the same Honda Accord as me, only he has the k24 stock with his car instead of my stock V6. And it felt very gutless compared to my V6. The difference was night and day. V6 all day
overall great discussion its all based on life style .My friend has a I have a D series and feel great have fun in traffic great daily fun I'm glad you did this based on facts and then made your opinion I like balance for what I'm doing reliability type of driving etc suspension set up life style I enjoy the technical aspects to tuning so I build the car around my lifestyle at that moment great job now viewers can make a choice based upon there lifestyle

I don't know how that's not practical, will it be a little loud? Depending on the exhaust system but other then that an Auto J series should be very tame. naw j series, the 3.7 in the acura mdx's makes 300hp stock
No issues.
That sounds like a sweet ride
I swapped J35Z2 5A/T in my Sentra almost 2 years ago and I love my car now more than ever. The only sad thing is that we don't have that many choices of J series here in Thailand.
Would love the info on the j swap in the ek
Dakota Williams the thing is there’s not much aftermarket support with the J as there is with the K and H

honestly j series puts you in a different class when it comes to racing your a v6 so you go up against a entire different crowd that's why no one goes j series now k series and h2b keep you in the 4 cylinder class.
Jason Jackson ahhh...you are talking about drag racing huh? I see!
also a v6 fwd class is basically non existent
with 4 fwd you have so many options thats why there are so many people in it
also if you were to build a car for competitive world time attack not many people would plan to start with a fwd if they had a choice
John Strong Im not a drag racer and i dont know regulations and classes etc. Please elaborate why J should not be a first choice?
my opinion as a J30 accord owner...

I've seen K series take a dump before 100k miles w/out the excessive abuse.
tommy facekicker D series is single stick. And yes, the K swamp is fad’ish. B’s and H’s take so much abuse an keep on rev’ing. Better trans as well.
tommy facekicker b series will blow up before my F20b will. Rev it to 9k several times a day for 6-7 years.
Bseries is outgunned in every way, except for boost. They hold just as well as any other for boost and are cheap
10k to go k? lol that's alittle steep. k is more expensive , but worth it. patients is key don't fall into the hype and try to buy everything at once. everything takes time.
... but you are broke if you cannot do it at once, at least according to this guy. :D
Lmao 😂
Lucky MN he’s including labor cost which is real world. Most people either can’t or don’t have time to do a swap.
I personally would prefer a k over all the series for my hatch, but with a low budget I do plan on installing a G23.
J Series is definitely under estimated it's a sleeper engine when put in the right body/owner.
Yes i agree and im a barra man i not long burt my first j series motor powered car and loving it
"This video is going to be more factual and opinionated than the last one" 🤔😕 Huh?...
My old cd5 h22a swap would eat K series and J series all day.
Need to build another one
k20/24 is a lot better trust me
I really like my 2001 honda accord F23A1, wish they had more aftermarket parts for them. Thinking about H22 swapping it since it's practically a bolt-in with a little wiring. Considering I manual swapped mine due to a terrible baxa automatic transmission it had in it.
yup I’ve got an f23 bro u should look into the g 23. Frankenstein build
Essentially we would put an h series head on our f 23 and would gain everything that we need from an h series like compression etc for a fraction of the price
People dont really consider H series too much any more. They are big and heavy compared to a B series but you get a lot of bang for your buck there when comparing the two. The top of the B series B18C5 is gonna cost you at least a few thousand dollars, but still doesnt produce the same amount of torque that the H does. You can find a H series on ebay with free shipping right now for $500-$800
my 2 cents the cheaper way to do a J swap if finding a T bone TL-S at the junkyard buy it as a donor car for 450 to 700 get ur long block 3.2 and tranny. and continue from there. peace
It's all about the Power to weight ratio and where the weight is placed. best thing to do is try to keep it closest to 50/50.
I'm a K series guy but I respect you opinion and J series overall. That's why I hit the like button.
Nice videos man. Keep it up!

I almost bought a K for my 99 honda accord thank you for making a clear step by step video on the different motors definitely going to look into the J series for my car now
J-Series FTW💪
I stuck with the k24a2. Can be very reliable on boost
I’ve had a CL-S, 13 accord V6 & a 09 Si loved all 3 motors.
Because of the lack of aftermarket for the J, I say K all the way....

Don't forget the OG Dseries :)
D series with bolt-on parts, upgraded ecu, stripped out interior lol that used to be really fun
As far internals, no one really makes crank, piston and rods for J series, I know you can get high compression ratio pistons but I don't think much people will risk 12:1 CR
As for forced induction, again, not much products you could get. They are couple of superchargers you could get but thas about it.
I really wish more manufacturers would introduce us with something, but I'm not really sure about it.
almost every transmission that came on a j series was made outta paper the v6 is fantastic whatever it’s probably bolted to not so much.
Everyone talks about the J32A2, and I loved mine in my CL, before it blew. But no one talks about the J35A3, or better yet, a J35A3 with J32A2 heads & cams. Now that's a beast.
I'm a K/B series guy but i respect F/H/D/R/L/G/J/C series they're good engines😊

The H series is a crazy smooth, even powerband great for all motor power, and so decently under boost.

Been k-swapping my mazda. I like k-series so far.
Is it an over rated platform? yes but so was the b series if it works it works. as stated before the J series is an expensive option not matter how you look at it and working in those confined spaces will be a nightmare. to each it's own I personally believe the h2b is just as competitive as the K. even with outdated parts....
h22a is not only prelude .... its ATR prelude and 9 of the 10 h22a leaves k20 in the dust, h22a swap is the same amount of work then a k,
come to holland they are wild about the H because the engine is better em stronger then a k serie,
pleas post a vid like this if you know what you know :)

Like, if I got lucky and was able to buy an insurance totaled Type-R with the engine in good shape for cheap (but being that lucky would be kinda like winning the lottery I guess?)
my man didnt even say like n subscribe 😂😂 he said dislike it and hit us with a outro right after lmfaoo
Ryan O'Brien gotta keep it original somehow 👳🏿♂️👳🏿♂️
My 09 6-6 Accord with full bolt ons and tune moves. Like moves moves. That motor and trans in a eg/ek would be insane.
Fragz914 Exactly the point I was trying to give! K series isnt affordable to everyone like many other engines.
H SERIES FOR LIFE!
D series let's talk about it
Built B series turbo here...508 whp on a conservative tune for longevity in my EJ8 coupe.
J35 3.5 V6 Accord ✅✅✅✅✅✅
No dislikes here for being honnest. I d still prefer to see B under the hood of my crx. Because thats what I dreamt of when I was a kid. Nostalgia bro. All good if its all honda. Liked the video.
h2b
Wade 1 im old school so B and H series for me buddy #stockblockgang
@@elduffe5013 foreals me too!
I have a euro R H22 and I have to say I’m happy with it in my integra I don’t regret
Wish i could take a run with you in my b20v cheers thanks for sharing
J-Series all day. I have a 2004 Accord V6 6-speed Coupe. And I am so glad I got V6 J30 Series. This is the first Honda I've ever owned and I knew nothing about them when I bought the car. Yeah having a timing belt sucks. But have gotten so good at working on the motor now it doesn't even bother me anymore. I will never go to Accord 4 cylinder. My boss has the same Honda Accord as me, only he has the k24 stock with his car instead of my stock V6. And it felt very gutless compared to my V6. The difference was night and day. V6 all day
J35 💪🏽
i have a J35 too but its in a honda pilot
overall great discussion its all based on life style .My friend has a I have a D series and feel great have fun in traffic great daily fun I'm glad you did this based on facts and then made your opinion I like balance for what I'm doing reliability type of driving etc suspension set up life style I enjoy the technical aspects to tuning so I build the car around my lifestyle at that moment great job now viewers can make a choice based upon there lifestyle
