Absolutely LOVED this episode. Thank you for having Stefanie Carnes on the show, she was fantastic. There were so many great, practical pieces of advice - thank you! I love Pure desire, and all the great work you are doing, and resources you share. I don't know where I would be on my healing journey without you. ❤️❤️

Seriously.....a betrayer not being patient with the anxiety and insecurity they created prevents any movement towards reconciliation and trust building.
It makes the one betrayed cautious and keeps walls up. If not changed.... the wounded spouse will stop caring.... stop trying.....

Healing takes as long as it takes. 3-5 yrs is a theory. If you are being retraumatized then the clock starts over to a large degree. If the addict is in therapy but still acting out or acting in, the relationship can’t heal. The betrayed can heal but if you keep giving them things to heal from then you can throw any timeline out the window

No mention of looking to Jesus for help and the Bible. Without Christ and the church community there is no deep healing.
