Trauma then ran up against addiction, Christian paradigms, and fear of exposure. On today’s episode, Paul shares his story of brokenness and what it took to face the damage his brokenness caused.
I knew Paul back in the mid-90's. He led a church in Oregon my Dad took us to. Genuinely nice guy, genuinely nice wife and kids. And as humble a man as you could ever meet. Humble enough to get up in front of the congregation and confess. Few men have the stones.

Paul Young, thank you for being you. Also thank you for the compassion and understanding of how the wives experience betrayal. Thank you for not putting our pain journey on a specific time frame. I e heard lots of podcasts talking about compassion for the addicted (which I think is true). But the. The women being lumped into generalized groups and being told they need to forgive and move on. I like how you talked about forgiveness and restoration. Just thank you. Water for my hurting soul♥️

Is there any help we can get for our husbands? I am struggling with my husband who is severely depressed. He is an African American man and we live in a very white area. He can’t make ANY make friends in this community. I am not a therapist but I have had to be his therapist for over 17 years. I am exhausted and he says “it’s not enough.” We have four daughters and I am trying to get help for a man who is to traumatized to care about himself. Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions for therapists that are Christian that won’t just say “pray about it.”
