This sounds like what I want to do to retain the center console functionality. I want to put my thumb drive hidden in there. So did you use the USB cable that came with the kit and replace the cigarette lighter in the dash as well? I guess I missed something. It looks like you bought a cable with both a USB and an HDMI connection. Any chance you could provide links to the products?
