Just ordered mine today for my jku. Heard mixed reviews but mainly good. Shame it always looks faded. Hope it’s not. And hope you can customize it more with future updates.
It would be a slam dunk if it could use the factory XM antenna and factory Bluetooth calls microphone. The microphone is really a big deal for me I don’t wanna put that I saw anywhere in my jeep
Hello, I really like the idea of this unit. I have someone who is attempting to install the Heigh 10 unit in my 2012 Mercedes E63 amg. I was using one of those Chinese model android10.25 screens but it was full of errors and cliques. I can't find a kit for my vehicle. I am having a custom install done. I was told by a professional installer that the PAC RC1 would not allow my steering wheel controls to work. I was told by the shop where I purchased the unit that the PAC RC1 would work but it had to be compatible with the Clarion systems otherwise it would not work. The Mercedes original system is a fiber optic network. I am connecting this unit to 2 JL Audio VXI 8 channel DSP amplifiers and a JL Audio HD 1200/1 amplifier to run my 13 inch W7 subwoofer. I am using Morel Virtous speakers 3 ways components in the front and 2 way Morel Nanos components in the rear. I am also using Morel Virtous Integras for my rear center stage and Morel 2 inch for my front center stage. I am hoping this will work in my vehicle. I have been unable to find any resources to help with information for this install. I am in northern California and most professional shops have not installed the Stinger Heigh 10 that I have contacted. I called the Stinger company and they were not helpful either. Any help you could give would be much appreciated. If not wish me a lot of luck. Thanks
If you are talking about pitch and roll, the. Yes there is a screen that shows you how much pitch and roll the jeep has when off-road. The cool thing about the stinger unit is you can have that on all the time where as the oem verison that dash if I remember correctly can only be access in 4 wheel drive.
Can you connect wireless with phone? For the price it is I would assume you can. Does it support SD cards too? A DVD player/Blu ray player on it would be nice too. They should really make a waterproof version though
Yes you can connect wireless with your phone via Bluetooth. Not sure about SD card but it has HDMI inputs that you can connect to. I’ve got a buddy that has had his rained on and it was fine.
Did you have the 8.4” prior to this? After having it even longer now, is it work the $1,500.00 for the upgrade? Also, does it reaaaallly match up with the stock vibe? I’ve got ocd so not matching bothers me
I had the 7” on mine. Totally worth it in my opinion. My wife actually had the 8.4” in her JT and wants to switch it out for the 10” Heigh10 after using hers for a year and seeing the difference of the Heigh 10. The ability to have 4 cameras plus all the added off-road features and the screen size and customization make the Heigh10 significantly better in my opinion. Like I mentioned in the video nice had it prior to its release and it hasn’t given me any issues in all that time. As for looks, it totally looks factory. I’ve had multiple people comment after I told them it was aftermarket tell me it looks OEM. I have a discount code as well for 11 % off anything on the website. Code is : ELEVENS
I’m not sure what camera they put up front. It’s not a high def camera like I have in the rear but it’s pretty good for what I use it for. I haven’t hooked anything up to the HDMI yet
im debating on installing this im getting proximity sensors placed in for security. im just nervous when i drive my JK naked and have to leave it unattended for any amount of time. i was gonna get a pioneer detach face unit to kind of ease my nervousness. but i really want this unit what do you do for security?
As for security, I don’t really leave my JEEP unattended/out of sight very long. It’s not ideal but at this point with how built my jeep is and all the stuff I have on it I like to have eyes on it whenever possible

Good question. I don’t know the answer to that. My voice control still works and works well but not 100% sure if it’s with the stock mic or an aftermarket mic that comes with the unit.
Does this still work with the Tazer mini? For example you can set the tazer up so that it brings up rear view camera when you put the turn signals on, so will that still work? I've tried contacting Stinger but no response
I believe it does. I have the Tazer and the integration is seamless. I don't have that feature set up on mine but believe it will work. You may want to still confirm with Stinger though.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE I had the Heigh10 installed in my 17 jku sahara. My screen does not show the performance settings. Is there something I need to do or get . Because I bought this unit for that screen and apple CarPlay. And now after 2 months I have to figure why my CarPlay quit.
You need to have a usb to lightning plugged in to one of your USB ports that’s tied into the head unit. Then you plug your phone into that and car play will work
At the time I did this video, I didn't have the HDMI cord hooked up. I've since added one and have it in my glove box. It connects to the back side of the unit and we ran the cable in the dash to the glove box while the head unit was out.
It is navigation capable and has the ability to run the OEM Nav if you have it. I use Google maps within the Apple Car play app but the navigation system that comes with some of the JEEP models will definitely work with the Heigh10
I can't say enough about this unit. I installed it in our JK and it's nice to have the features that should have came with the Jeep.

No I did not get a screen protector. Mine has seen a fair amount of dust already and cleans up easy with a microfiber cloth.
Can anyone share on how camera quality compaires over factory? I have heard some are worse?
I have the newer HD cameras and the quality is very good. Pretty close to the factory cameras.

You can do that from the headunit no taxer required.
What high end audio feature does this radio have that no other current radio has?
You’d be better off contacting Stinger direct with that question. I don’t know all the differences with the audio compared to other high end units.

Yes all the features work on a non rubicon model. Mine is a sport altitude and everything works.
Where did you put your Xm tuner and antenna?
This was all installed by Stinger so I’m not sure where all that is but assuming it’s behind the head unit.
