hello. I really liked your video, thanks for sharing. I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sport. I don't have power windows. I want to know if the model you installed in the video fits my jeep? And if you can share me the model of the stereo. Thank you
The radio kit does not replace the entire front dash panel, it uses the existing one. So this kit will absolutely work in your Wrangler, even without factory power windows.
Since jeeps arent known for their road manners, how well does the screen hold up since it sticks out and isn't flush up against the dash? Does it wiggle around with bumps or is it always firm in place? Im interested in this, but do worry that going off road will weaken or loosen it.

Hi thank you for this informative video. My 2013 wrangler has Factory amplified sound system. When connecting the wires like you mention can I still use the fader and the subW?
All speakers, Including the subwoofer will continue to play, however you will not be able to fade the system or control the level of the subwoofer. The only radio that can do that is the factory radio.
This is is antiquated already ... and the wiring should already come ready to plug and play It's cumbersome compared to many very good aftermarket android head units.
I have the Alpine i209. And this has a much better display. I also have the Alpine rear brake light with back up campers. Terrible display. Love the light. And additional back up light. This would have been a much better purchase.
The part number is SSUSB2. Any local PAC Audio dealer should be able to order you one, or you could search online for a retailer that could ship you one. Hope this helps
The factory amplifier only accepts two channels of audio input (left and right). Connect the front outputs (white and white/black; gray and gray/black) of the aftermarket radio to the rear inputs (green and green/black; purple and purple/black) of the vehicle connector. This will allow navigation voice prompts and Bluetooth calls to be heard. The rear speaker outputs of the aftermarket radio are not used.
I had a couple questions, I may just call in tomorrow. I just purchased this from an authorized retailer. It did not come with the usb cords and adapter to replace the cigarette lighter. Not sure if this is an add on. The second question is the installation adapter they sent was ch1a-rsx. I’m assuming that’s correct, however the radio harness indicates the parking switch is a positive input while the radio interface indicates a negative parking output. Will this need a relay?
The HEIGH10 display has a built-in microphone, and the kit includes an optional external microphone that you can mount higher up, on the A-pilar, or by the sun visor. Unfortunately all microphones have different specifications, and the original Jeep microphone is not the best configuration for our multimedia unit. This is why we provide a built-in mic, and an optional external. You can always connect the external mic, and swap between the two in the HEIGH10 menu, to see which gives you the best performance.
Purchased the Heigh10 w/out flush mount last month. Have the wire colors changed since this video was produced? Also some of my blue wires have metal attachments not shown here, and the wire colors I have aren't following the instructions given. Is there an updated install video?
There has been an update in the colors to this wiring harness. Please give our Tech Support Team a call at 727-732-3114 M-F 9am-5pm while we work on updating the info in the video.
@8:19 in video you say “and on this other harness, where the camera inputs are, the speed wire is blue” Looks like you have the 10 pin harness in hand, which does NOT have a blue wire. There is a pink one that says “speed sensor” and has a plug on the end Also only has inputs for camera 2,3&4....is that pink wire the one I need to connect to the RP4-CH11 purple and white wire (VSS)?
Is the radio easy to remove? I don't want to get this radio and have someone steal it because they can just pop out the radio when I take the doors off my jeep.
can you access apple car play and your phone via BT or do your phone need to be plug into the USB cord? local stereo guy said that that it has to be plugged in but that seams weird...thanks in advance for the reply
I would say 95% of Apple Carplay/ Android Auto stereos need to be wired. The remaining 5% that are actually wireless are really new in the market but need some sort of network support built into the car. But yeah, unfortunately that is how things are at the moment. I'm sure that more wireless stereos that support ACP/AA will be coming out in the near future.
Connecting into the USB port is required for CarPlay and Android Auto with the Stinger HEIGH10. It does not support wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. It does however support Bluetooth calling and audio streaming. So you can enjoy hands free calls and listen to your phone's music through your jeep's sound system, without being physically plugged into the USB port.
How much space is behind that screen ? Most of us Jeep owners that use our Jeep’s don’t have the roof on or doors so I’m gonna assume this isn’t water proof like alpine what do we have as owners of your radio to protect us from dust dirt light rain etc ?

If a jeep does not come equipped with a the alpine sub kit what happens to the rest of us ? And if you dont connect the 2 USBs ports is that bad or os it optional? Please explain . Thanks bro
Thanks for the shout out! We think it's dope too :-) The USB ports are to retain the use of the original Jeep USB ports. If you do not use them, the original USB ports will not work. when you use the supplied USB cables, you can use the original ports for Android Auto, CarPlay, and music playback over USB (thumbdrive). The kit is compatible with Amplified and NON-Amplified jeep systems. You simply connect our plug in connector into our module in the correct port, They are labeled amplified, and non amplified. So we are good to go with any Jeep factory stereo setup. Sorry the GPS info wasn't clear. The GPS antenna does have a single blue plug in connector that plugs directly into the back of the control module or "brain".
Not as of right now, but this could be installed in the FJ Cruiser. Give Tech Support a call and they can let you know what parts would be required for your vehicle. 727-732-3114 M-F 9am-5pm EST.
Hi there, you may need to update the radio firmware. You can do that by visiting here and clicking on the Firmware tab: stingerelectronics.com/products/heigh10. Regarding RUclips and video play, your radio has an HDMI port (HDMI cable sold separately). However, please check your local laws -- it is dangerous, and in most states illegal to watch video from the front seat of a moving vehicle.
When you look at your vehicles harness you will only see 2 sets of speaker lines in the amplified system and 4 sets of speaker lines in the non-amplified. You can also look under the driver side dash next to the steering column and see if the amp is there.
Alright... Super frustrated here. I've spent all day scouring the internet trying to find the answer to my question. On Jeep JK's with the factory sub in the back, once installing a new head-unit with separate sub controls AND an entirely new sub/S(IN ADDITION) to the factory one, will I be able to adjust the factory sub's level on it's own? Or will it only adjust with the door speaker adjustments like factory? So after you installed this unit, could you adjust the factory sub separately? Or only generically..?
Unfortunately, there is no way to adjust the factory subwoofer level independently. There is no separate subwoofer level control capability in the factory amplifier.

Our JK kit does not feature any kind of gauges, the USB is limited to 64g and when using Android Auto you will get album information from your Apple music.
Looking at this unit for a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the Alpine sound package and its sub. Will this unit interface with the factory system, amplifier and subwoofer correctly? Many of the Asian units like the Desaita etc. seem to have issues where you lose fade control and other factory control. This could be a viable alternative to the Alpine Restyle if it functions correctly. Also how is VIM handled as I would hate to have to jam a lockpick unit etc. inside the tight space along with all the wiring from this unit. Thanks in advance.
This unit should work perfectly in your Wrangler! But if you have more specific questions, our Tech Experts can definitely answer all of your questions and concern. You can reach them here stingerelectronics.com/pages/contact-us
why does this kit work for 2007-2018 but other screen kits only work from 2011-2018? also.. some 2018's are JL so make sure people know if they have the jk or jl before ordering a head unit for a jk
I just installed the height 10 in my jk. Problem is that when I answer a call on Bluetooth or Android play, there is no sound through the jeep speakers. The Bluetooth plays music just fine, or radio. But no sound through speakers on a call. The people on the other end can hear me just fine. I switched internal/external mics, volumes, nothing gives...alot of money for the most important feature to not work. I'm very frustrated.
This is typically a symptom of having the factory amplifier and having it wired as though it is not amplified. Follow these wiring instructions: " Vehicles with a factory amplifier: The factory amplifier only accepts two channels of audio input (left and right). Connect the front outputs of the aftermarket radio to the rear inputs of the vehicle connector. This will allow navigation voice prompts and Bluetooth calls to be heard. The rear speaker outputs of the aftermarket radio are not used. Fading is not supported in this application. The factory amplifier’s fading is controlled by data communication from the factory radio. Neither the aftermarket radio or the RP interface have the ability to control the amplifier’s fader." If you have any questions you can reach us at 727-732-3114 M-F 9am - 7pm EST.
The connections in this kit are plug and play, so an absolute beginner could make them. The trickiest part is taking apart the jeep dash panels, without causing damage. The proper tools and techniques help avoid damage. Fitting the wiring into the dash is a bit snug, since the jeep does not have a lot of extra room behind it's original thin radio. But, by following the steps in the video people have been successful in installing this product themselves. There are a lot of professional installation shops out there, if you feel uncomfortable doing what is shown in the video.
Hi Derrick, are you referring to the e-brake connection? That connection is provided in the wire harness and the unit does require the brake to be on to access certain features.
We offer cameras both with parking lines and without. We also have cameras with the dynamic (moving) parking lines. Check out the full lineup available from our sister company echomaster.com/
The camera is sold separately. You can find it here stingeroffroad.com/collections/shop-by-jeep-model/products/spare-tire-backup-camera-for-wrangler-jk-2007-2018
The brake wire tells the unit when it is safe to view videos, without that connection you will not see anything on the screen from a video source. The speed sense wire can be used to trigger a front camera.
@@Stinger.Solutions Thank you for clarifying that!. So if the brake wire was connected to something that had constant power it would think that it was parked all the time?
Hi Anthony, The STH10JK is the complete kit. It includes the Heigh10 infotainment system, the wire harness, antenna adapter and dash kit required to complete the installation.
You cannot add additional apps to the unit itself. You can use the Apps available through CarPlay or Android Auto. You can mirror a phone through the HDMI port from your phone when the vehicle isn't in motion for something like RUclips.

It really depends on how you have your Vector bar setup. The bar itself is fine because it comes to the edge of your dash and Heigh10 sits in front of the dash. However, depending on what you have on the bar you may need to make some adjustments so everything fits.

The radio replacement package featured in this video is for the 2007-10 Wrangler JK models, and the parts included for these vehicles are not prewired like the harness for the 2011-18 JK models is. They are 2 different radio replacement packages for different years/applications.
You will just need to purchase a PAC SAT-01 adapter to sync your factory XM antenna, or you can purchase the new SiriusXM SXV300 tuner for SiriusXM directly. If you use the SiriusXM tuner, you do not need to install the new antenna that comes with it, just have to install the adapter of the SXV300 to your factory antenna.
This is a "mech-less" system which means it does not have a mechanism for CD and DVDs. It does have an HDMI input, so you could connect an external DVD player.

The dash for the 2011-18 JK is different than the 2007-10 JK, which is why the RB10JK11B flush mount option will only work for the 2011-18 JK
What about a 2008 wrangler? The dash is quite a bit different
The link below shows the installation in a 2007-2010 JK. Hope this helps

So is this radio waterproof for people who like to offroad? Would like it but not worth it if it's gonna break when I go offroad
It is not waterproof/IP rated, and should be treated like any other electronics installed in a vehicle.
@@Stinger.Solutions ok thank you
I just installed the height 10 in my jk.
Will you be making one for 2007-2010 Jeep Jk’s?
Here is the setup we have for the JK stingeroffroad.com/collections/jeep/products/sth10jk
This kit actually covers the 2007-2012 check out our video for that install ruclips.net/video/t5vCifTDj_I/видео.html
Hi this come with the 4 cameras connectors or I have to get it separately?
You can connect 4 cameras to the Heigh10, no extra connectors needed!
Do you have to connect the rear camera or will it auto detect?
The cameras we have on the website are all wired cameras and would require running the wiring through the Jeep and connecting it to the Heigh10.
When you turn on the veicle and put the rear gear how long it takes until it shows the rear camera on the display?
Hi Marco,
It's a pretty quick process once the unit sees power on the reverse input it will switch over to the camera view.
Could an absolute beginner do this step by step video? Or is it best to find someone who can?
The connections in this kit are plug and play, so an absolute beginner could make them. The trickiest part is taking apart the jeep dash panels, without causing damage. The proper tools and techniques help avoid damage. Fitting the wiring into the dash is a bit snug, since the jeep does not have a lot of extra room behind it's original thin radio. But, by following the steps in the video people have been successful in installing this product themselves. There are a lot of professional installation shops out there, if you feel uncomfortable doing what is shown in the video.
I am wondering if this unit requires that a bypass be used in order to access all of the available functionalities? Please help. Thanks
Hi Derrick, are you referring to the e-brake connection? That connection is provided in the wire harness and the unit does require the brake to be on to access certain features.
@@Stinger.Solutions
Yes, thanks
Please can you confirm if the back up camera has parking guidelines. I never get to see it in any of the videos
We offer cameras both with parking lines and without. We also have cameras with the dynamic (moving) parking lines. Check out the full lineup available from our sister company echomaster.com/
Does the kit come with a backup camera or is that sold sep?
The camera is sold separately. You can find it here stingeroffroad.com/collections/shop-by-jeep-model/products/spare-tire-backup-camera-for-wrangler-jk-2007-2018
Will this work for the 2021 Jeep Wrangler?
This kit is for the JK Wranglers, check out our JL Wrangler kit here stingeroffroad.com/collections/shop-by-jeep-model/products/rb10jw18b
What cameras are needed for this head unit? Want to make sure I buy the right stuff.
The Heigh10 will take any cameras with a standard RCA connection. Check out our line up on our sister site echomaster.com/
Does this radio have an IP classification? Is the display screen easily removable, for when you have the doors off and top off?
Our unit does not have an IP rating. You can remove the screen if you were out with the top off.
Does this have Rca ports so I can connect an after market amp to it so I can run subwoofers?
Yes, our Heigh10 has 3 sets of RCA outputs as well as a Toslink output.
What happens if you do not connect the speed sensor and parking brake wire?
The brake wire tells the unit when it is safe to view videos, without that connection you will not see anything on the screen from a video source. The speed sense wire can be used to trigger a front camera.
@@Stinger.Solutions Thank you for clarifying that!. So if the brake wire was connected to something that had constant power it would think that it was parked all the time?
What is the difference between STH10JK and Heigh10 as it pertains to the Jeep Wrangler JK?
Hi Anthony,
The STH10JK is the complete kit. It includes the Heigh10 infotainment system, the wire harness, antenna adapter and dash kit required to complete the installation.
Do i need a amplifier bypass to install subs and amp if i already have alpine factory amp
You will not need to bypass the factory Alpine system to add a subwoofer amplifier.
@Stinger Off-road two questions, does it support dab+ and do you ship to europe? Thanks
Unfortunately, it's a no on both of those.
They installed mine at best buy but they didn’t add the USB
Did they know you wanted that done?
Can this run a back up camera
Yes, it can actually display up to 4 cameras.
Is it like a phone someone could use RUclips or apps on it?
You cannot add additional apps to the unit itself. You can use the Apps available through CarPlay or Android Auto. You can mirror a phone through the HDMI port from your phone when the vehicle isn't in motion for something like RUclips.
@@Stinger.Solutions that sounds like a good deal. Can't wait to have one
do i need to connect the USB cable to apple car play directly to the back of the stereo with the dual USB port ?
Hi Julianna, the dual USB port will plug into the back of the Heigh10. Your standard iPhone cable will plug into the dual port.
@@Stinger.Solutions for carplay to work it needs to be connected with the USB cord correct?
Would this work for. 2003 wrangler ?
Unfortunately, we do not have a vehicle specific radio replacement package for those year Wranglers. However, you can visit a local Stinger dealer and have them pair the HEIGH10 UN1810 radio that is included with this kit, with the correct vehicle specific installation parts needed to install it in yours. The dealer locator is linked for you below.

@@Stinger.Solutions thanks. I'll definitely get this! It's alot easier
Does this connect with the steering wheel?
Yes, it retains the factory steering wheel controls.
can the cameras record anything ?
The unit does not have recording capabilities.
And another one sorry
It comes with a rubber sleeve is that optional ?
Barry, Yes the "rubber sleeve" is an accordian boot, it's designed to hide the two cables that connect the display to the "brain" of the HEIGH10. It it completely optional.
@@Stinger.Solutions I have one complaint so far . I installed it been a ok tj it a few days . Everytime my phone gets synced with ot bluetooth wise the music starts and stops every 5 seconds you continually have to press play then all of a sudden it goes away can you please help

Thank you sir really appreciate your help I'm sorry if I came off as rude . I love my stinger its dope been getting alot of people who havent heard of that brand and they like it alot ! Thank you
will this still fit if I have a vector off-road bar on my dash?
It really depends on how you have your Vector bar setup. The bar itself is fine because it comes to the edge of your dash and Heigh10 sits in front of the dash. However, depending on what you have on the bar you may need to make some adjustments so everything fits.
But then you need an interface to keep the wheel controllers?
This kit will retain your steering wheel controls.
@@Stinger.Solutions Including the uconnect & phone buttons?
Can I connect an adaptor to read data from the car such as tire pressure or car error messages?
thanks
Hello Mohamed,
Currently the Heigh10 does not support that feature.
So can I access Google maps without a phone contacted to this system?
You will need to be plugged into the USB in order to use your Google maps.
What other integration kits are available for use with this stinger unit?
Our Heigh10 can be mounted in a wide variety vehicles. Give our Tech Support a call at 727-732-3114 M-F and we can see what options are available for your vehicle.
@@Stinger.Solutions thanks for letting me know
What do I need for satellite radio
Hello Sean,
You will need the SiriusXM SXV300V1 tuner.
Hey I’m having problems connecting the backup cam to the unit, and when it connects it says no signal but still goes into the camera tab when not in reverse. Does the fact it’s a stick shift affect the unit
Yes, the stick shift adds a completely new step to the process, you’ll need to search up another video for the wiring.
There can be some instances where the module doesn't produce the reverse signal on the manual transmission. You can contact Tech Support at 727-592-5991.
Is it wireless apple car play ?
The unit does not have wireless CarPlay or Android Auto. You will need to plug into the USB port for those features.
What about the navigation? I have the radio but what card do I need for it?
Hi Brianna, you'll need an iGo Navigation card specific for the Stinger radios. You can view the information here: stingerelectronics.com/products/igo-navigation-add-on-for-elev8-heigh10. You can purchase it at an authorized Stinger dealer, or contact us at customersolutions@aampglobal.com. 😀
So can you not access your phones navigation through it?
Is this Water resistant?
Our unit is not water resistant, there is no IP rating.
I don't know why this video has cables manual connection green with white, while another video this manual wiring not required !!
The radio replacement package featured in this video is for the 2007-10 Wrangler JK models, and the parts included for these vehicles are not prewired like the harness for the 2011-18 JK models is. They are 2 different radio replacement packages for different years/applications.
can I install an additional application(s) or software?
thanks
Hello Mohamed,
You are not able to load your own applications or software on this radio.
Steering wheel controls not working
What if your jeep already has xm how do you plug
You will just need to purchase a PAC SAT-01 adapter to sync your factory XM antenna, or you can purchase the new SiriusXM SXV300 tuner for SiriusXM directly. If you use the SiriusXM tuner, you do not need to install the new antenna that comes with it, just have to install the adapter of the SXV300 to your factory antenna.
Does it come with DVD/CD capability?
What year is it? Actully with with there was a add on DVD options but not currently. You could get a stand alone system but they aren't very good.
This is a "mech-less" system which means it does not have a mechanism for CD and DVDs. It does have an HDMI input, so you could connect an external DVD player.
