I gotta say, I'm glad I discovered this channel. 👌
Thank you! Welcome aboard 🤙🇺🇸
OMG! That Camel socks spot you did was funny AF! Total win!
Haha, thank you
Good to see this old girl back on the channel. I installed a holley sniper on my 67 Mustang and it has been great. Looking forward to seeing more on this one. These 5.0 coupes were the car to have back in my high school days many many years ago.
For sure
I'm 59 and have owned only 2 cars besides Fox Bodies. Yep. Love 'em. I'm looking forward to more tuning vids with the Terminator X. I'm planning an On3 turbo install on my '86 and was thinking MicroSquirt to save money. Supposedly has a smaller learning curve, but your T-X appears plug 'n play. Your thoughts?
Got a new video coming out tomorrow that will shed some light on that!
Lotta work there Art, impressive. Yes, I was privileged to get to drive one of those quite a few years ago, a couple times, what a ride.
Haha yes indeed
Great video! I have a 93 road race/open track toy with a 331 and thinking this is the path forward. thanks and will be watching this multiple times. you may be the realist but can you hold them down like you're giving lessons in physics? 🙂
😂 unfortunately no. Hell yeah I've always wanted to put together a legitimate SCCA car.
Holley makes good stuff. Love it that we can take back the control of our cars.
Agreed
@VeteranRevivals you can switch to a gm style iac with the terminator x.
Glad you done this. I have a car identical to yours with the exception of mine being a hatch lx. I’m gonna do this to mine.
Definitely worth it
I just ordered the LMR terminator X (F) kit they have on sale for $1200…. I seen your video and said, Phuk it… ordered! Prices came down since Holley won the lawsuit! Anderson wanted $2600 for the F kit a few months ago…
Holy eff 😮. Yeah it's an awesome kit, gets rid of a whole lot of junk under the hood.
Just don't forget to set the static timing before you start driving it around, I didn't show that part of the setup in the video and realized it would have probably been a good thing to mention.
@@VeteranRevivals thanks, will do .
The xflies plays like that when you start messing with all the emissions stuff, lol. Love me, a old fox body. All my transformers have names has well.
😂🤙
Look into the IAC ramp down settings for the idle when you let off throttle, you can set the decay mine is set as follows. Should be a good starting point for you.
iac hold 30% iac ramp 4 sec iac ramp start above 1000 rpm I don’t have A/C so play with A/C % till you get it where you want
I'm going to definitely start digging through all that
@ lookup Joe Simpson, on here. he’s got videos on tuning, wiring and just about anything and everything Holley
Awesome well now ill have to try this same thing great job Art!!💯✌👊
🤙🤙
I’m doing a swap from a 4cyl I don’t have any wiring would you recommend the Holley kit or just do a coyote swap🤣. As much I price everything coyote would be around the same.
Oh man, I couldn't imagine a coyote swap being anywhere near the same price but I suppose it's possible.
Awesome bro
Thanks 🤙
Curious… do the Bronco doors have intrusion bars in them? I suspect maybe they did not, since those were considered trucks, and trucks often had fewer safety requirements. If thats the case, that is probably why the Mustang doors are so much heavier. Let me know! Good vid - makes me miss my ‘91 Notchback.
Makes sense!
Glad to see this vs a carb swap. Might motivate me to do this. The tuning aspect is major league intimidating though.
Haha, you don't need to be proficient in tune, it has and auto-learn that will adjust fuel mapping over time.
@@VeteranRevivals I was surprised how yours fired right up
The idle does take some finesse haha, but it's pretty much plug and play
That's why u install it n get dial-in at a dyno. "Tune" The self learning can only do so much.
@apocolypse11 very true
Do you still have to install the ford iac as a input ouput?
The harness comes with the plug for a Ford IAC, but you can rewire. I may do that, since this Ford IAC just doesn't flow enough
This was a great video Art. However you lost me when you started talking about crt s and ebm s and all those other connections. So glad that Scrapi is happy. (And you also). If your fuel delivery holds out I believe that you can turn a 12.7 second run.
That would be awesome if it did
So does the terminator x replace the stock ecu? I have 88gt speed density ecu. Looking to upgrade to MAF. Thanks for the great content.
It replaces all of the harness/ecu and ditches MAF, using only MAP, IAT, and wide-band to run.
@ awesome thank you!
Very nice...
Thanks!
Don't toss that door guys like me buy shity doors to gut to use on race cars to avoid destroying good doors
It will most likely sit in the corner of the shop for a while haha
@@VeteranRevivals Couldn't you have welded it?
Yes, but it was also bent and dented. Basically beat to death
Don't hate but I order my socks from Canada lol !
😂 understandable. But if you feel the need to branch out, give them a try!
