- "Some traditions are meant to be re-traditioned and re-created in order for everyone to feel like they can be included."
- Chef Kristen Kish
For Award-Winning Chef Kristen Kish, creating a culture at her restaurant Arlo Grey means taking care of her people on a personal level, both in the kitchen and in the dining room. And with guests' dietary needs changing, that means restaurants including Kristen's have had to adapt, to incorporate ingredients that flip your dishes so everyone can have them.
Flora Plant Butter & Plant Crème are a high-end 1:1 swap for butter and heavy whipping cream, making it easier than ever for chefs to serve guests on vegan, plant based or dairy-free diets, but still with rich, velvety, creamy taste and texture. They're also soy-free, gluten-free, kosher and halal.
Whip, bake, sauté, or make a caramel, brown butter, custard or beurre blanc - Flora products can be used 1:1 for butter and heavy whipping cream in all your recipes. With clean, neutral taste, they're ideal for sweet or savory dishes. Plus, unlike dairy, they won't split under alcohol, high heat or acid - including hot coffee drinks.
See how Chef Kristen Kish uses Flora to make her Herbed Sheet Pasta with Plant Butter Sauce and her Maple Pecan Bread Custard, and discover what it can do for your kitchen or food service business.

Plant butter? I have some in my refrigerator, taste terrible
I bought some....wasn't impressed.
In the vid, she talks about creaminess, texture, richness and uses it as a substitute in recipes. She does not mention taste and I assume the other ingredients in her recipes is what brings the flavor.
I am curious as to how you used it. Is your opinion based on spreading it on toast where you rely on its taste or using it in a recipe as a substitute for the butter.
Chef's think they have earned the right to have tattoos. They're wrong.
