What has helped me to grow and retain length: Wash my hair every 7-10 days Protective styles Moisturizing every 2 days This is my 4th year being natural and I am almost waist length.
@@michele33s68 Me too. I just started using a refresher spray as my leave in on wash day. I use that same spray to moisturize my twists during the week. This is much easier for me to keep up with than taking each twist down and using a cream leave in. I do a quick mist and I'm done and my head is moist. I guess it's like they used to do with jherri curls...always misting.😂
@Babs How do you moisturize your hair every two days... do you untwist, moisturize, & retwist every 2 days? Or do you wet it and apply moisturizer over already twisted hair?
Mine personal hair growth success, I stuck to this daily regimen: Take early morning sunlight every day for vitamin D. Consume vegetables of different colors. Using paraben-free and fragrance free shampoo and gently massaging twice a week with hair oil from litttleextra's cocooonion oil. Important to keep in mind that hair growth is affected by overall health as well as circulation and nutrition.

What has helped me?Ayurvedic herbs and less manipulation. Using henna, amla, brahmi in oils and masks seem to strengthen my hair and I have way less breakage and falling hair.
My thin, fine, high porosity 4c hair needs daily moisturizing. I just make it part of my styling routine...always spritz with water and 1/8 tablespoon of leave in conditioner has brought me from TWA to shoulder length in 5 months. This is 50 yo grey hair too!

Amen Sister, I don't wash my hair every 2weeks, I wash it once a month and I keep it braided until my next shampoo. It's always better to let our hair rest, it will grow even faster and healthy. Our hair is our connection with our HEAVENLY FATHER.
1. Eat clean 2. Satin bonnets 3. Keep ends clipped only as needed 4. Mid to high end quality products 5. Paying more attention to me & my family hair changes & addressing issues immediately &/or sticking to what yield results.
What helped me grow my hair is literally leaving it alone and keeping it tucked away! 😭 I typically wear wigs year round and keep my hair cornrowed for 3-4 months at a time. Because of that my hair is mid back length. I’m hoping to reach waist length in the next year or 2 🤞🏾
As a relaxed girl I incorporate a lot of your natural hair advice. I relax twice a year, I use only a hooded dryer twice a month and my hair stays up in a wrap most of the time. I have had over six inches in length that I was able to retain in the last year. Not gonna lie having nowhere to go really helped keep the manipulation down but with RONNA in the streets I started paying attention to my hair again and I am so much better for it.
Keeping my hair and scalp clean, conditioned and moisturized and then not messing with it too much has gotten my hair to waist lenght within 5 years. I've also been drinking a lot of water, excersising regularly and focusing on good nutrition and all these things together have contributed to healthy hair, clearer skin and a functional body.
I was in a hair plateau for almost 3 years!! Wearing my hair braided (mini braids/plats) with no added hair was definetly the key for my hair growth. And also, i wet my hair everyday in the shower (with the braids/plats) and then seal the moisture with shea butter. Also, i massage my scalp every night or 2 nights with my oil mixture, also deep condition my hair every week while in braids. I take my braids down every month and redo it again. When i wwar my hair out its usually stretched in a blow out state so it wont tangle and be bouncie
Maintaining a regimen has really helped me retain length. I pre poo with Amla oil, treat my scalp with apple cider vinegar, shampoo and deep condition, moisturize and style (protective/low manipulation). Washday is every two weeks at most. I re moisturize almost every day, sometimes every other day. Since I started using to this regimen consistently for over 8 months, I’ve seen length!!!
I accidentally grew my hair to waist length while living abroad cuz I had access to so few natural products! I would just spray my hair with conditioner diluted in water every morning, brush down my fly-always, and twist it into a bun. Low manipulation for the win!
Some time straight hair looks linger, and cos of next length , head size, body size. What anyone sees or not. Hair grows, what ever colour or length, some some not. It's not really rocket science.
low manipulation and continuation of moisture, sure It makes sense! I was curly natural since 2003, mid-back length until dec 2019 when I cut it super short. I just relaxed with Phytospecific I used to use in before. It was constant shedding. I am starting over:)
1. Gentleness 2. Low manipulation 2. Oiling edges, nape, and ends 4-7 times per week 3. Silk/satin scarves and pillowcases at night 4. Finger detangling 5. Cleansing and detangling in sections 6. Keeping ends tucked away/protective styling (in my case, without added hair) 7. Loose stress-free styles 8. minimal heat 9. trimming/cutting when needed 10. avoiding chemicals, including color
Henna. Henna. Henna. I started using henna and my DIY hair oil back in January of this year and so far I am able to retain length. Also, using Camille Rose naturals Honey moisture leave-in and sealing that in with a pomade/grease has kept my hair moisturized for a full week.
The tip that works wonders for my hair: constantly wearing my satin bonnet AND durag all the time at home to protect my flat twist so they last and stay juicy all week. Wear that satin bonnet/scarf/durag 24/7 and you'll see.
@@krisb6987 ceecee's closet have amazing headwraps and many patterns to choose from. Some have satin on the inside as well and I own 2 headwraps from ceecee's closet (without the satin though) and so far they still look and feel amazing after 4 and half years, so you can consider them if they're within your budget and live in the U.S (shipping cost). I also follow @grassfield on instagram they SEEM great as well I have never purchased from them that's why I emphasize the "seem". Or what I personally do, just go to a fabric store and I ask for 1.70 meter and ask the seller to split it in half on the other side which usually is 1.10 meter and I just end up with 2 pieces of 1.70 x 0.55 meter of fabric. ( I ask for this particular measurement because I have a decent amount of hair, bra stap length and because of the humidity hello frizz and volume + I do know several ways to tie the wrap up and ceecee's headwraps are pretty much this size ) It's cheaper for me as I live in the Lesser Antilles and gives me a wider range of fabric to choose from since the stores are not specialized in WAX fabric itself. Hope all this reading have helped you in anyway or form 😅
Along with a consistent ayurvedic regimen, plaiting (braiding) my hair after moisturising and then wrapping the ends in cling film (saran wrap) before placing in a bun and/or headscarf has really helped me to retain more length - the cling film is a game changer as it stops my ends from moving and intertwining with each other, resulting in a huge reduction in single-strand knots! I took the idea from how some people do their chebe challenge :)
I clarify weekly. Some may not agree but because I start each wash day with an oil based pre-poo and end every wash day with the LCO method and then I use oils 3x a week, I need to clarify weekly. Also, using steam with my deep conditioner has also help me retain length. Great video!!! I'm already doing everything that you suggested🙌🏾
@@Neesha242 Hi!! A lot has changed since this post. I now only shampoo 1-2 a month (no longer weekly) and I have my own hair care line. My shampoo is sulfate free.
I so appreciate you ❤! What helped me the most was following the moon phases. I only cut or trim my hair on the waxing phase, never the waning phase. I began doing this at age 42. Until then my hair never grew past my bra strap. Since then it grows to my butt! I'm 59 now and finally learning how to take care of my hair properly so I'm expecting it to grow even longer now!

@6:39 • Finger-detangling more and using combs less • Spraying my scalp with Aloe Vera Juice + Peppermint Essential Oil Blend • Deep conditioning at least 2x-3x a month Great video. Thanks for creating and sharing. 🙂
Gurl you can use a leave in and than a butter (like sea butter) and then a little bit of grease on to of it. This make sure my hair is moist from sunday until sunday.
Maintaining a consistent hair regimen by not missing a wash day, pre pooing with Ayurvedic herbs and powders, and dusting my ends as needed has helped me get the length that I have now! I big chopped three years ago and my hair is the longest it’s ever been!!
You've helped so much I can't believe how much my hair is growing that's the first thing people notice is the length. I use the Garnier products which works very well with my fine hair also castor oil with peppermint coconut oil and rosemary. My hair used to be frizzy but I moisturize lightly everynight and then twist I love not having dry frizzy hair. Thank you for this channel blessings
What has helped me retain my length is keeping a routine of washing my hair every 10 to 14 days (acv rinse) about 1a month prepoo. Shampoo, deep conditioning, moisturizing, leave-in conditioner, oil my scalp and two strand twist my hair underneath my headband wig. I moisturize my hair every other day and oil my scalp and gently massage my scalp.
Retaining my length definitely Finger Detangling! It takes more time but I gain more hair and I seal my ends with my natural butter blend! Thanks honey!🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much for educating us. With all the fads and trends out there, you are one of the few channels I actually listen to when it comes to my hair because it’s scientific and you get straight to the point.
My length retention is getting better. One thing that really helped me, believe it or not, is trims. I don't trim on a schedule, but getting rid of those splits was huge for me. I've been natural for about 3 1/2 years. My hair is bra strap length. I started with a serious big chop... Very close to my scalp. I was doing my own janky trims but when I got it professionally trimmed, it took off.
Yep. Getting regular trims really helped me too. I transitioned from relaxed to natural gradually in 2016. First I trimmed every 6 weeks, then 8 weeks and now I've been able to push it to every 12 weeks. No more than a quarter of an inch each time. Started with shoulder length hair and now it's bra strap length. Plus washing and deep conditioning once a week, my own diy oil treatment, minimal heat and low manipulation. 🙂
Had two bald spots from medication. Went to Walmart and got Tea Tree Oil, Olive Oil, (the small tubes for 99c) got a water based conditioner and would combine those and massage the areas like three times a week. Hair grew back like magic. I really don't know how long it took, but one day it was bald and before I know it, I had hair. I also stopped perming my hair. So at the time I started this my perm was growing out and now I have natural hair but I get a silk press once in a while cause my hair is thick.
Literally soak my ends daily/nightly in an amla oil from henna Sooq, it's organic and natural and no foul smell, super absorbing.. Every morning my ends look like a fresh cut and I do it with a silk press with no extra oily feeling. Try it🥰🥰🥰
1. Moisturize your hair multiple times a week. 2. Use protein treatments as needed. 3. Do not comb your hair when you are mad, tired or in a rush. 4. Be consistent with your regiment and make necessary changes as needed. 5. Focus on the health of your hair. Quality over quantity...the length will come.
I'm ok with the shoulder length hair I've always had. I'm with you, quality! Actually using the right oils, moisturizing regularly, and pre- pooing, has stopped the breakage significantly and I am seeing rapid repair by having a hair routine. All thanks to you!
Pre-pooing has helped me the most and moisturizing and oiling my hair once or twice a week. I also noticed that using distilled water instead of hard city helps alot in my moisturizing. Also when i oil i massage just a little tip.
I think being a product junkie has been my number one problem when it comes to length retention. Swapping products out all the time cannot be a good thing. Many of them are not good for my hair. Been a junkie for YEARS. I'm finally starting to reel it in. Using grease helps a lot because I don't feel like I need to pile a ton of products on my head. I'm hoping to stay consistent with just 4 products (shampoo, conditioner, leave in, grease) so I can get some good retention this year.
Exact same problem here. I'm a product junkie & swap products daily, looking for the right combination. Most of those store bought "natural" products are full of harmful chemicals, which I suspect is why my hair isn't growing like it should. Simplicity is key.
@Free Do it the opposite way and lightly grease your scalp you'll see a huge difference after the first night. I mixed coconut oil, grape seed oil, Castor oil, olive oil and sweet almond oil together for my sealing oil and was amazed at my hair in the morning it was visually healthier overnight it may sound like a lot of oils but I had them already. Good luck.
@@swisdom9117 I use a scalp clarifying shampoo on my scalp and wash it by massaging it in then rinsing it off after a minute or so. This ensures that the product has removed all the dirt that clogged my scalp pores and disintegrate any other buildup in my hair.
What has helped me to grow and retain my hair is washing it every week. Keeping in a protective style and using my natural mixture of hair oils every other day. For the past year of doing this my hair is stronger. I wear a wig but I take good care my hair. I also listen to you about haircare. Thank you for your help.
Thank you so much for educating everyone on maintaining healthy natural hair. I have been natural for 14 months now. I just purchased your guide!! the guide has so much awesome information on keeping natural hair healthy and moisturized. (Which my hair lack) I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to find the right products🙄🙄🙄 that work, so far nothing helps with retaining😞 moisture. I'm going to use the guide to look for products that will keep my hair hydrated and healthy!! Thanks Again!!🙌🙌
For me personally, coconut oil and having well moisturized hair were the game changers. I’m not 100% sure why coconut oil reduced my breakage so much, but it did. It’s also important to leave your hair alone. My hair is in long-term protective styles most of the year. When it’s not, I try not to change my hairstyle more than twice a week and opt for buns, crown braids and the occasional wet/dry set curls. Unless I’m experimenting with my hair during which I’ll go crazy lol. There’s a reason I only do that for 1 week at a time out of like 6+ weeks. And I never use heat. Haven’t touched a blow dryer or flat iron since 2019. It’s hard but possible. Just be patient and learn as you go along.
The Sunny isle extreme hydrating and detangling conditioner keeps my hair moisturized for 5 days straight, the best moisturizer I've ever used in my almost 6 years of being natural. I moisturize my hair typically once in a week, and then do the Green house method every time,I moisturize ..major game changer for my hair.
Prepoo with aloe juice and water, Ayurvedic hair care regimen, butters infused with honey, supplements, water, and protective styling. Hit waist length in 5 years relaxed, cut it off like not even an inch of hair in 4.5 years natural reached almost tailbone length, chopped it to shoulder length in October 2020 and now between full bsl and mid back length this May.

I put Chebe butter on every other day to keep my ends from becoming too dry. I prepoo with aloe Vera gel from the grocery store where I leave on my hair the night before I wash my hair. So far so good. No breakage do far.
Your the real deal because I think I just learned this in the pandemic-just have a routine that involves moisturizing your hair. Styling is separate. Love and embrace what God gave you and length will come. Pulling and tugging ain’t where it’s at!
Low low low manipulation and ayurvedic in my conditioner and end with lots of moisturizing the ends. Thanks Tanya, never has one of your words fallen to the ground. 🥰
I was at bra strap length for a long time. During quarantine, I kept my hair in twists or a bun and massaged my scalp a few times a week. I washed my hair about every 2 weeks, and added jojoba oil followed by shea butter to coat my strands before re-twisting. I also have satin sheets, since I'm inconsistent with my headscarf. My hair is now a few cm above my butt when stretched. I'm kinda at a plateau now, though. I hope it still has some potential left
Have you tried ROO? Rinse Out Oil Method? Where you put an oil on after washing, then either rinse that out and then put on a conditioner or put a conditioner right on top of the oil? It helps retain moisture much longer. Just a suggestion.
How do you moisturize your hair every two days... do you untwist, moisturize, & retwist every 2 days? Or do you wet it and apply moisturizer over already twisted hair? And 🤔 how often do you think/ recommend someone with 4b/4c (high porosity) should wash their hair... every week, every other week, monthly?
When I twist my daughter's hair in twist. I must with water or leave her hair open while she showers. The steam will lightly mist with water. I will then mousturize and seal or just seal with an oil. Her hair grows so much when I do this
When I wear twists, I mist my hair daily or every other day. Sometimes in the shower or I use a spray bottle. Then I use an oil to seal in the moisture but I’m going to use some Blue Magic hair grease(green one) on the ends.
@@pamelamccants2877 when misting with spray bottle... inside the bottle is it just water or water and leave-in conditioner or regular conditioner or aloe vera juice 🤔
@@KD-pj8ji either one is fine but if using only water, apply some oil in the palms of your hands and rub all over your hair. The oil will seal in the moisture.
I wash my hair every two weeks, then I deep condition with clay mask which has added Ayurvedic herbs (hibiscus, Amla, shikaikai, & brahmi). Which I follow up with the Ordinary hair serum, aloe, Miele honey hydrate, and a gel and then plait it up. Throughout the week I spray my hair with a fenugreek, rosemary, hibiscus, amla, aloe water mixture to rehydrate. And I have satin pillow cases and only use satin/silk scrunches.
Great video as always girl🥰🥰 I have question .. when you say you moisturize your hair every 2 days, do you do the whole loc method or just applying a daily moisturizer? If you just apply a moisturizer which one do you use and what's your technique? Lots of love from Mozambique❤
Love your videos 🥰🥰! I did the big chop 13 Mths ago. You are 100% correct on having a regimen/routine is definitely an essential part for healthy hair growth! I prepoo/shampoo/condition (to help detangle) deep condition wkly & refresh/moisturized my hair at least 1x a wk.
I'm 13 months natural as well. I started with hair at the top of my eyebrow & now at my bottom lip. I'm pleased with that so far. I do the same routine as yourself...added a couple things ...but following the LCG method..low porosity.
@@demi5378 ohhh that’s great! What type of products do you use? I’m running out of hairstyles ideas as well... any tips on that? I’m also low porosity, I think I’m medium strand/density. Favorites products I like to use so far (they change very often lol) are the melanin hair care line- leave in conditioner, the styling cream & the pure oil blend. I didn’t think I was going to love the styling cream since I thought it would be for “twisting” hairstyle BUT surprisingly it works great for my wash n go.
My hair grew nicely after I started taking Viviscal supplements. Also only washing once a week and keeping it oiled/moisturized (I like the Holiroots Ayurvedic hair oil). Keep it in a bonnet at night. I thought protein was a bad thing but recently started doing protein treatments as a test and my hair is loving them, it’s breaking noticeably less.
I take Viviscal also (on my 5th month). Wash my hair only once per month, oil scalp two times/week, wrap in a plastic cap and bonnet over it every night. I tried the protein treatments, but they don't do a thing for me, so I take protein in shakes or simply with water instead. Also, I moisturize my hair every 4-5 days (water, daily moisture cream, grease to seal it).
Detangling my 4C hair very carefully is very instrumental in retaining length to my hair. My hair reaches waist length, and I blow dry it with heat and comb on the dryer. If my hair is not smoothed out, it will knot up, and I will have to cut the knot off. I only comb my hair once a day, if that.
Wow!! Ms. Curly Chemistry, you have really done a very good job at explaining things hair topics to me and the ones I have questions about. Thanks so much!!!
if the anogen phase is typically 3-5 years, how do we know when it starts to begin the timing? When does it reset, because everyone's hair doesnt just fall out when the shit stops growing?
What helped my hair flourish is taking MSM powder (mixed in orange juice) it makes your hair grow like weeds!! It also increases the anagen phase. I lock and seal my hair every 4-5 days (I have 4c hair btw), flat twist under a headband wig and done! My hair has never been this long 🥰
I have heard that when you stop taking msm, that the hair starts to shed badly-have you ever experienced any side effects from taking msm or when you stop taking?
I'm rocking a tapered TWA right now 🤷🏾♀️ I am letting it grow out though. I'll come back and let you know what worked. I see your beautiful hair did not come to play today! 😍
Leaving my hair alone my hair gets shampoo once a month. I do ACV and water mixed in a spray bottle between washes. Olive oil. My hair now bra strap. I had a TWA 4 years ago almost 5 now. I don’t use products because so far they all provoke my dermatitis. So I stay away from trends. My scalp is my main concern.
Okay where have you been all my hair youtube video watching life? You are the bomb. Nonsense and misinformation pervade the internet. But you are the real deal. I big chopped a little over a year ago (down to 1/2 - 1 inch) and have recently begun to think that my hair is starting to take too much time again. You and your hair are totally inspiring and I think I'll continue to grow it out. I use carrot root oil from Anita Grant (love all her products) to which I'm going to add some rosemary essential oil for the terpenes and return to nightly massage with that. Really need a protective style. Thanks and keep it up.
Excellent video. Hadn't realised that was the reason Asian hair tends to be longer, but it makes sense. I love getting info based on science instead of just anecdotes. Altho some anecdotes are spot on too.
I looove your videos! Keeping my styling simple and not manipulating my hair a lot has helped me with retention. I also focus on moisturizing and essential oils.
Heyy I'm a new follower. Thank you for breaking down the 3 cycles of hair growth and why a consistent hair maintenance regimen is paramount to healthy hair and how healthy hair will eventually lead to longer hair length. Very helpful!! I will be revising my wash day regimen by adding a pre-poo stage. I agree with you about removing products from my hair regimen that no longer enhance the quality and texture of my hair, especially those that dehydrate my hair and leave it looking lack lustre and brittle. Looking forward to viewing your other videos.
@4:40: you said, “Moisturize your hair multiple times a week.” Please define “moisturize”. This is an ongoing point of contention within the Afro-textured-hair community. To some, hair can only be “moisturized” with water. H20. As only water 💦 provides moisture. For others, it’s conditioner, cream, or some other “moisturizing” product. And still others “moisturize” with oils and butters. I, personally only use water (in conjunction with other products and oils) during detangling or cleansing sessions. But I “moisturize” (or, more technically, lubricate) my hair multiple times a week with oils and butters. So, please clarify what “moisturizing” is. Thank you. 💜
You asked, so I rarely comb or brush my hair. I'm lucky I can get out of bed, shake it around and go! It was waist length so I donated most of it. It's at my shoulders now. I recently decided to stop highlighting and go natural. We'll see. But I never blow dry. My hairdresser always makes me pull away because it's too hot! I'm giving her up, too. To retain length on my gray hair, I watched quite a few natural hair care videos showcasing various means on hair care methods. I love Natural Americana because she insisted on showing how to be more gentle on the hiar,. I always pulled on my hair and my scalp hurt but when I stopped doing that I felt so must better. I am now taking more time with my hair also and the health has improved. I started using the product TGIN that the influencer used but didn't like it because I got a lot of flakes. I will see how it works for the long term but it appears to be making my hair better conditioned.
🖐I've never had shoulder length hair for various reasons. I am in my late 50's. I have hypothyroidism which makes it more difficult to retain length. I would like you to address those issues if possible and also what are some things I can do at night if you have short hair and I don't want to braid it. I sleep on silk pillowcases and have a silk bonnet. Thanks.
Good intro to retention. Looking forward to more. Ayerverdic treatments to address my issues. Things that reduce shedding due to my anemia and recovery from sepsis. My hair would grow and I retained length but its just regained its density and health. Think oils, clays, onion that people hate and low manipulation styles.
Ayurvedic herbs has helped my hair become healthier and stronger. Tea sprays has helped to eliminate as much shedding as I was going through. Also I got a trim from a hair care professional and I see the growth. And after the trim. I don't have breakage like I use too. Afope's channel has helped me care for my high porosity hair.
Yea, I spray green tea on my hair and scalp and it reduced shedding for me also. I read a scientific article along time ago about how tea helps reduce shedding, Green tea was said to be the most effective bcuz it has more of some type of compound. Forgot what it's called tho.

How often do you shampoo your hair

Nice! What conditioner do you use?
Ironically it was DevaCurl 😂 now I use Ouidad Curl Quencher as my rinse out, but most weeks I deep condition
@ZeeCurlGirl. The food quality is different, also.

Henna. Henna.
Yep!
Yess!
Yes I agree. I cover my hair as often as I can. The sun does dry your hair. I need to find some cute covers.

( I ask for this particular measurement because I have a decent amount of hair, bra stap length and because of the humidity hello frizz and volume + I do know several ways to tie the wrap up and ceecee's headwraps are pretty much this size )
It's cheaper for me as I live in the Lesser Antilles and gives me a wider range of fabric to choose from since the stores are not specialized in WAX fabric itself.
Hope all this reading have helped you in anyway or form 😅
THANKS. NEEDED this!

How did you figure that out? cutting hair during moon phases..Seems like Wiccan stuff
@@solarlola5953 sorry but it was so long ago I don't remember. God Almighty Jehovah created and manages the moon, as well as all other celestial bodies of light. Nothing wiccan about it, Dear. 😉

Gurl you can use a leave in and than a butter (like sea butter) and then a little bit of grease on to of it. This make sure my hair is moist from sunday until sunday.
What has helped me retain my length?
1. low manipulation
2. moisturizing
3. coconut oil
You’re welcome Cynthia! Congrats on seeing improvement and results with your hair! 😆
What is prepoo?
@@judyloupis1010 that's normally the penetrating oil you put in your hair before shampooing. Some haircare lines also make their own prepoos
Retaining my length definitely Finger Detangling! It takes more time but I gain more hair and I seal my ends with my natural butter blend! Thanks honey!🥰🥰🥰
I can honestly say fingerdetangling is the truthhhhh
@Mimi Cabrera yip
I use distilled water in my hair mister! It really helps a lot, our water is very hard unfortunately.
Good luck.
@Free your welcome let me know how it goes
@Free apply a dime size amount of moisturizer to each section and seal with the mixed oil and let me know tomorrow morning how you liked it.
@Free Thanks I'm excited for you. If you can try it every night until then and make wash day a little easier

What do you mean clarifying your scalp? Whayt do you do and use exactly?
@@swisdom9117 I use a scalp clarifying shampoo on my scalp and wash it by massaging it in then rinsing it off after a minute or so.

Hi
Keep hair protected especially during warner months when hair grows faster. Not worrying about hair.
(Isaiah 65:17;Rev 21:4)
I use oil mixture and grease. It usually helps to reduce breakage and helps with detangling my hair. Sticking to the same brands tend to help.
Love coconut oil for !y skin and hair
What are your thoughts on MSM and henna from a chemist point of view?
The Sunny isle extreme hydrating and detangling conditioner keeps my hair moisturized for 5 days straight, the best moisturizer I've ever used in my almost 6 years of being natural. To minimize the haircare has been very helpful to me.
Shampoo, deep conditioner, cream and amla oil.
Wash 1-2 times a week.
Less cream is the key!😍
Yes I am doing my hair right now for wash day. What a better way than to watch videos while deep conditioning
Same question here 🤔
When I twist my daughter's hair in twist.
Prepooing and washing my hair in twists helped me get from shoulder to bra strap length.

Favorites products I like to use so far (they change very often lol) are the melanin hair care line- leave in conditioner, the styling cream & the pure oil blend. The Olaplex System and trimming my hair 3 times per year.
Hi. I maintain a low manipulation style (2 strand twist). I use ayurvedic treatments. I also moisturize every three days.

I am grateful that you are here for me.
