Hey Aaron, thanks for reminding us how great the S21 Ultra is. I never had one but I bought one 2 months ago. I think Samsung missed out on something special to me They should have made this. I'm in a dilemma. Currently have the S21+ Exynos version since release. Been great and does everything I need, however it's developed what looks like water marks underneath the screen panel. They don't interfere with the picture though but just don't look nice with the screen off, more of an annoyance but I do have concerns in case the screen it does start to cause display issues. I can get an "as new" ex display S21 Ultra Snapdragon version for £350. Wondering if to get one and have the better camera, slightly bigger size, SD chip, etc or blow a lot more money and get an S23 ultra when really it wasn't needed. Lol. Just wondering if going from the Plus to the Ultra 21 and from Exynos to Snapdragon with the extra bits of the Ultra would still feel like I've at least had a bit of an upgrade.
Great! and your phones theme , icons and background are really outstanding. If you would you share how to get them, it could go viral and be the Aaron Kim followers trademark!
Phones have hit a plateau, and newer phones are barely better than their predecessors. Getting a 2-3 year old flagship for less than half the price of the most recent one is a smart decision
I should be getting my S24U today. I'm trading in my 21 Ultra. I didn't want to, but I couldn't miss on the double storage deal. I got 1TB for ~700 after trade-in. Im sliding by with 128GB on my 21U.
The entire S21 line is where Samsung design peaked and started having a distinguishable visual identity S23 onward have outright boring design bordering into the generic language, and homogenizing their S and A series makes the whole lineup feel cheap
I bought it on release and deeply regret it years later. Why? One word: exynos. I live in a region where samsung foists this junk processor onto us without choice. My S21 Ultra's battery life is atrocious. And it runs hot as hell. I have a second S23+ with the Snapdragon for work, that is an absolute pleasure to use, by comparison.
What's even better is now, almost halfway through 2024 you can find the S21 Ultra in the renewed/refurbished market for about $100 cheaper then what's mentioned in this video!🥰🤩🥳 Just browsing through back market and reeblo for example I found price ranges as low as $244 all the way up to around $270 and that's absolutely amazing for what you get lol you would be a fool to purchase any mid ranger over this beast of a phone I mean SD triple 8 under the hood with 12 gb of ram all whilst gazing into that super crisp 1440 panel..... What more could you ask for?? Also thanks again for the content my dude👍
after 2yrs my s21 ultra exynos version battery is still holding up i hope samsung release another phone that look like s21 ultra, im still holding to upgrade cause i hate the s22/24 design.
My only gripe with the phone is that it is so prone to the screen line issue. People mostly get their lines after updating their phones to the latest software. Based on experience, the phone gets extremely hot while updating, and I think this is what causes the green/pink line. It gets hot even when it's taken out of its case, the room temperature is cold, and it's placed in front of a fan. Samsung should slow down the processing speed while updating the phone so that it won't reach extreme levels of temperature. Most of us update our phones when we don't use them anyway, what's the need for quick software update runtime?
S21 Ultra has RAM options of 12GB AND 16GB, unlike its newer siblings which only tops out at 12GB. Also, being an older phone, software should be mature enough for any apps to run smooth on this phone.
Definitely agree with you I think the reason why I like the s21 ultra better is the build quality. That's mainly it. The s20 ultra is a beast. I wish they had it in different colors
I actually just listed my S24 for sale because the corners just kill my hands and putting a case on only added weight and bulk. It's such a phenomenal device but it's just not comfortable for my hands. I'll be rocking an S21 Ultra paired with my OnePlus 12
There are people that somehow feel the need to upgrade from even the last Samsung Ultra phone they've only recently bought, once the next S-lineup series (especially the newest Ultra) is released... Talk about waste of money, any ultra phone that one buys is supposed to carry them for 4 - 6 Years generally. I'm currently striving for the new S24 Ultra because I desperately need to upgrade from my Nokia C2 that recently had its battery inflated, once with the S24U, I won't see myself requiring another upgrade any time soon, just as Aaron Kim is trying to demonstrate with his S21U.
I just picked one of these up for $400 Canadian because I got robbed for my iPhone 15 pr max. And honestly I couldn't be happier. This phone beats the crap out of the iPhone and is even way better than the note 20 ultra I had before. I originally wanted to get the s24 ultra but now I don't see any reason to upgrade since this phone is getting one UI 6.1 in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for talking me into letting go of my stolen s22 ultra and instead of spending $600 on a replacement I will spend $350 and give the s21 ultra a shot for a while.
And to add to the first reason, this is my main machine for gaming, this phone is a beast, this phone holds up perfectly with no lagging too, so if you're looking for a budget flagship, definitely go for it if you're a starting gamer.
The only Samsung back design I honestly liked. If it wasn't for the curved edges, I would've purchased one even of I don't really like Samsung or One UI.
you can take ur top 5 reasons and flush them right down the toilet if the phone doesnt have full 5G band support for whatever carrier you use. i keep seeing these videos about how great the S21 Ultra is, but thats all bullshit because none of the "reviews in 2024 or 2023" actually have the phone itself on an actual phone plan, just on WiFi, im sorry but who tf is gonna buy or keep an S21 Ultra to use on Wifi? Put in a sim card and run it on a network and see how it performs. full band support for the carriers, reception, speed ETC.
The problem seems to be that you have an unlocked inferior international version that one support a lot fewer 5G bands. This is a problem with unlocked phones.
@@hazuk6829 its unfortunate, i have an unlocked S22 Ultra and a new unlocked S24 Ultra, both for the united states. the bootloader is locked so i cant put custom roms on, but versions of these phones outside of the united states use samsungs exynose chip which is fully unlocked. if the international version of the S25 has good U.S. band support im gonna import one.

At 4:02, what is the theme of your wallaper?
Great! and your phones theme , icons and background are really outstanding.
Im sliding by with 128GB on my 21U.
watching this and looking at my phone same time that I bought 3 years ago made me reliased I did the bestest desicion ever in life.
My Galaxy S10 works fine as well so much more this one.
Hi Aaron what theme you using?
The entire S21 line is where Samsung design peaked and started having a distinguishable visual identity
S23 onward have outright boring design bordering into the generic language, and homogenizing their S and A series makes the whole lineup feel cheap
Top 1 and only reason to skip the 20 and 21 line:
GREEN/PINK LINE.
-Fold3 user with 2 green lines
Can I Just get the S21? What do you get with the ultra?
Budget?
Isn't this still in the price range of high tier mid range phones?
The s 21 ultra you have is equipped with Snapdragon. If you evaluate the Exynos version, your opinion will change...
I hate exynos
With a pation of a burning galaxy
I bought it on release and deeply regret it years later. Why? One word: exynos. I live in a region where samsung foists this junk processor onto us without choice. My S21 Ultra's battery life is atrocious. And it runs hot as hell. I have a second S23+ with the Snapdragon for work, that is an absolute pleasure to use, by comparison.
Wow, that's a shame, my Exynos works just fine
What's even better is now, almost halfway through 2024 you can find the S21 Ultra in the renewed/refurbished market for about $100 cheaper then what's mentioned in this video!🥰🤩🥳
Just browsing through back market and reeblo for example I found price ranges as low as $244 all the way up to around $270 and that's absolutely amazing for what you get lol you would be a fool to purchase any mid ranger over this beast of a phone I mean SD triple 8 under the hood with 12 gb of ram all whilst gazing into that super crisp 1440 panel.....
What more could you ask for??
Also thanks again for the content my dude👍
I have the s20 ultra and the camera just stoped working (softwear incompatible) errror is what i get. Does the s21 have similar bugs
make sure you get the exynos variant if you want 10% more performance and a better battery!!!!
after 2yrs my s21 ultra exynos version battery is still holding up i hope samsung release another phone that look like s21 ultra, im still holding to upgrade cause i hate the s22/24 design.
Thank you that was so clear and informative, have just ordered one from Backmarket.. £225.
Which theme or laucher are using or was displayed?
My only gripe with the phone is that it is so prone to the screen line issue.
People mostly get their lines after updating their phones to the latest software. Based on experience, the phone gets extremely hot while updating, and I think this is what causes the green/pink line. It gets hot even when it's taken out of its case, the room temperature is cold, and it's placed in front of a fan.
Samsung should slow down the processing speed while updating the phone so that it won't reach extreme levels of temperature. Most of us update our phones when we don't use them anyway, what's the need for quick software update runtime?
What's the screen line issue?
Definitely agree, I have this issue on my s21 ultra as well. Im afraid S23 is also prone to this
2 of my Samsung devices got this issue in 2023, I'm giving Samsung a break...
@@MikeeJ1245 what model?
@@apme01 s20+
How about this year? 2024
depends what budget, maybe this year u can choose s22+ but s21 ultra have better battery,u can choose s22 ultra for same battery
If I buy it now, will I get an old stock with a degraded battery by its long shelf life done so far?
still has mine. besides the normal battery wear, its STILL ultra.
Don't take audience for granted
S21 Ultra has RAM options of 12GB AND 16GB, unlike its newer siblings which only tops out at 12GB.
Also, being an older phone, software should be mature enough for any apps to run smooth on this phone.
yea great budget till you crack the screen and need $285 to fix it
I got wgat looks like new phone. I love the 21 ultra. The geek bench score is freaking great. 1365 single and 3528. About as good as a 8 gen1.
8 gen 1 what Is that?
The phone wallpaper is super. How can i get the wallpaper?
Please tell me
Is it still worth it in 2024?
2 more years if software support, but s21 ultra is a beast.
It's solid for 1-2 years
I have the s20 ultra and trust me its still a beast the display is awesome and the camera is still top tier
I'm still rocking it in 2024. My upgrade is due and I'm waiting since the S24 ultra has a list of problems
And to add to the first reason, this is my main machine for gaming, this phone is a beast, this phone holds up perfectly with no lagging too, so if you're looking for a budget flagship, definitely go for it if you're a starting gamer.
I love my S21 but I'm thinking of getting the OnePlus 12 or a Pixel. I just hate how expensive the Galaxys are now.
Yeah but they've still been used daily for three years by someone else. That means wear and like bad charging ports etc.
i lost mine like week ago and yeah it was awesome now i have s22 ultra and its litle bit better but i hate to by new phone when my old is still good now for the third time my s8 and s10+ where still good after 3 years and then i lost them or destroy them
i'm still using my old s21u and I love it, but please be aware about the screen death issue that happens in some models. I had to change out the screen which cost a lot of money because a line appeared on the screen out of nowhere and the screen started dying.
I'm happy with it still... It's a classic. I'll hold on til s25 ultra or iPhone 16
Video for note 20 ultra
Who else is watching in 2024😂
Yeah im still rockin a note 9 the screen is 1/4 blacked out so this the phone imma get
I simply love my 21u.
Got it a couple months back. Best phone i have ever owned. The display is beautiful and the performance is great!❤❤❤
Yeah. I bought it used in carousell for cheap with heavily used condition. Spent little more to replace the battery and back case. Good as new.
Wat da hil, i bought this before for abiut 1300$ i never would have imagine this could get this cheap now
My s21 ultra is still good. Bought this 2 years ago. Will be using this for another year maybe
so little has changed from the s23 ultra, the s21U is the best value Samsung right now.
Watching still on my S21 Ultra that I bought for $350
Yeah, i just got one. Upgraded from a note 10. I'm still exploring, but I want to explore all the features, especially the camera options.
Nah i think i stick with my S23ultra with 12gb ram and The snapdragon 8 gen 2 😊
I currently own a s21 ultra. I have had data connection issues with it. The phone says I have 3+ bars of data and nothing loads that needs a connection to the internet to load. i.e. social media, games.
What themes are you using? Thank you
