You can do it too! I was what I call a meat and potato sewer when I started doing this. I was not a master of a curved needle and still stab myself a lot! But as with everything the more you do it the easier it is. :)
Wow, I am so glad I watched this! Amazing! Need to find her blocking video to get started on my daughters gift; just finished a small needlepoint sugar skull.
@@starkeart - I will do that - I haven’t personally finished any of my projects ….yet…. But am very interested in trying to do so. One question, is there a “formula” to use to determine how much thread you will need when you are making your own cording? Thank you !
It can, it depends on the stitch and the fiber. I block everything, even if it looks like it was stitched on a frame. Realigning and resetting the sizing is important for a good finish. Not always easy depending on the stitcher and the tension they stitch at...emotional stitching can lead to some really tight stitches!😁
@@starkeart yes! I’ve never done needlepoint before and I want to make a pillow similar to this and can’t seem to find any tutorials starting from the very beginning
You did an excellent job on that pillow. I learned so much. I like the way you work not to fast not too slow. Many thanks. K
Wow! I am impressed with the whole process, but have to say your application of the piping is amazing! Thank you for sharing.

Great video. Does blocking smooth out stiches?

What brand of fishing line do you recommend? Does it matter?
Trilene XL smooth casting 6lb. Clear. I have gotten other brands but went back to this for strength and quality
What is the name of the interfacing you like to use?
Formflex pellon
do you have any tutorials on how to make this from start to finish?
It is from start to finish. Or you want to see it being stitched? Then made into pillow?
