    You´re wrong, Red Bull bought Minardi, and they haven´t enough time to addapt the car to new rules, so they used cosworth v10 engines from Minardi, and they have to limit them. Then they were in the same conditions than the other teams with new v8 engines. That was the history.

    • @Yoshik379
      @Yoshik379 3 года назад +5

      No, apart from the fact that they bought Minardi, you're wrong.
      They used the 2005 Red Bull car (also their Cosworth engine) for 2006. This car was originally developed by Jaguar before they got bought by Red Bull.
      Red Bull themselves moved to Ferrari engines in 2006.
      If you're gonna say someone's wrong, at least do a simple Wikipedia check!

    The rev-limited V10 engine the Toro Rosso ran, is basically 1998/1999 F1 engines, or the ones Arrows use in 2001.

    • @RickZanardi
      @RickZanardi 9 месяцев назад +6

      What the... no... how do you guys manage to get it all so wrong...
      Let's put some clarity...
      The engine Cosworth supplied both in 1998 and 1999 was the VJ unit, taylor made for Stewart in 1998 and then passed to Minardi for 1999, rated at around 730-740 hp and was an underpowered engine as soon as it came out, in fact it saw no more application after '99.
      For Stewart in '99 the CR unit was introduced, which was better and had various iterations of development for the Jaguar team, reaching the 900 hp threshold.
      For 2005, Cosworth supplied Red Bull with the new TJ units, again with 900+ hp, which were the same car and engine in the video, just with performance reducing mods. But the starting engine was a solid 2005 engine with a healthy output of 900 hp, not a 1998 piece of junk with 740... in fact, V8s were able to produce around 750 hp, more than Cosworths old V10.
      And to top this all, I don't know where you got this 2001 Arrows thing because in that year they were powered by the pathetic Asiatech engines which were privately "developed" Peugeot units, not Cosworths.
      Arrows ran Cosworths in 2002 again and sold their chassis to Minardi in 2003, maybe that caused the confusion. But Minardi did nothing with those, as they sold them to Aguri Suzuki and became the basis for the 2006 Super Aguri car.
