- The STR1 driven by Scott Speed and Vitantonio Liuzzi during the 2006 Formula One season was rev-limited to 16700rpm and subsequently 17000rpm as the year progressed.

Hey with the G25 doe's it allow you to make pit request with one of buttons as well as adjust the traction control bar.
I borrowed a Logitech Hori from someone everything works fine with the game accept I can't pit request with any button or make any adjustments to one of the traction control bar. Also is the G25 have good force feedback with this game? Please respond 🙏 trying to get a wheel just suited to this game that will give a good driving experience.

@@ddbdirty6919 Yes, I don't have it setup atm but Im pretty sure you can if you also have the shifter attached, you should be able to map the select button and use the d-pad adjust the traction control. Force feedback is ok, its nothing special but it works.
I spent many many hours playing this game as a kid. I was like 5-6, and i didnt know nothing about v8s v10s even tho i was a big F1. But for some reason the Toro Rosso was my favourite sounding car.... Now we know 😂

Same, my dad apparently got the game when it came out and I was born in 2006 and apparently when I was little the engine sounds would calm me down, so this game really developed my love for racing, especially V10’s

That's true, however, the penalty is that a lot of motion blur had to be used (and abused) to enhance the effect.
Not just because of motion blur but also the wider Field of View.
really. in addition, the change made to the car is visible. the changes in the setup even in the behavior of the car are very clear.

To those who didn't know, this is the second game that came out from F1 2006 season.
The first one was F1 06.
After years of growing up with that game, I just realized years ago there was an updated version of the game and it was better.
The first thing I found out was how different the V10 engine sounded in both games.
Seriously, go check out about it and you'll find out that F1 Championship Challenge wasn't just a remaster, it's an entirely different experience!
It wasn't an update or a remaster it was in development at the same time as the ps2 version
_"F1 Championship Edition"_ (2007) came out exclusively for the PlayStation 3, while _"F1 06"_ came out for the PS2 and PSP, so there was a significant difference due to the consoles' capacities X ) ...

This game was incredible. Awesome graphics being from 2006! I loved playing with Super Auguri and trying to defeat Alonso and Shumacher
Coco Hayashi also ever used Super Aguri in F1 06 and F1 06 Championship Edition. She won 4 races using that.
These graphics look better than all of code master ps3 games, and this was in 2006😳 Imagine what this studio could do with current gen consoles
Codemaster F1 are rubbish, I can't play them, too robotic, no fun in them. Automobilista 2 is where I play my F1 now🙂
If you want to see another game with insane detail, Project Gotham Racing 3 on Xbox 360. There was a photo mode, and I remember the screws being rendered on chandlers outside a casino in Las Vagas.

Do it! Though Im not sure the G29 will work with this game as its not an option in the controller settings but you should definitely check to find out.
@@SRV the G29 works amazingly on this game! All you have to do is switch it to PS3 mode. All the buttons apart from the +. - and the rocker switch work as well.

Limited V10s don't sound quite right

It's nice seeing a G25 in 2022. They're what got me into sim racing really watching youtube vids as a kid and I finally managed to get a G27 about 10 years ago. Now I'm using a g29 and i still think the older wheels were better in some ways.

the best sounding car in any F1 game in my opinion is the Cooper T51 in F1 Champions edition, specifically at 5+ revs in gear 3 or 4

Toro Rosso was allowed to use the V10 as they didnt have enough money to develop a V8+they were on a transitional stage from Minardi

The team they bought was Minardi and they had a deal with the FIA to help smaller teams with engine costs where they could run a rev limited V10.

The V10s could rev up to 19.5k rpm,and the V8s in that season could do almost 19k,2007 the F1 V8s could do 20.5k rpm
