I like to compare the onboards in this game with those in real life, Studio Liverpool managed (with the exception of B.M.W) to faithfully reproduce the sound of the different engines from that year, considering that the game was released a year after the season in which it is set, I believe this made it easier for the producers to have more research resources to correctly portray the different sounds of the engines
I used to play as Button all the time in this game. I still remember clear as day when he won his first race at Hungary that year! Good times! That 2006 Honda is still one of my favourite cars in terms of pure looks too! It's a shame it's speed didn't quite compliment it looks though! 😂
I'm playing this using the RPCS3 emulator, if you have a decent PC it could run from there, and you can also play it at 1080p and higher. Nothing beats the original PS3 experience though and you can use racing wheels with it

i really like that you can actually hear that the toro rosso uses a V10 engine compared to the V8s all the other teams used
And it even runs at 16.5k rpm like the real thing

Agreed! Definitely my top 3 F1 Game of all time, the sense of speed is immaculate and the Sunset in the time trials is just beautiful.

In F1 06, Toro Rosso engine originally using low rev V8, but this one really used V10

I’m getting an ps3 to play this and 2011 and 12, i love the older F1 games.

Idk why but the "bar" honda has a louder gearbox than the rest of the cars, I like it
