Thanks for this video - I finally know the name and growing conditions for my mystery plant! He’s a hatiora salicorniodes.... I got him from a garage sale and the lady didn’t know what he was either!

True story, my mom has one from the 80's. We called it the ET plant bc she got it around the time ET came out and we put a little cereal type toy in there (I guess they looked like ET fingers). She still has the plant. Now, it could be a daughter from the original drops, but it's never had much of a dying back, so it could be a near 40 yr old plant. My plant is nearing 15 years old. I found online they get to maybe 3, 3.5 ft max. Mine is near 4 ft. Mom trims hers but I like it huge. This is probably my favorite plant. She'll occasionally shed even when perfectly healthy, and I compulsively put the tiny little sections in soil and end up having way too many tiny dancing bones but they are so cute! Mine tends to turn reddish when light stressed, sometimes getting red spots. Since I use plant lights (yeah, uh, 3 plant lights) it's a pretty easy fix to just nudge the light over. I'm a cheater, but what's a girl gonna do when she has 1 window with sunlight? lol thx again great vid!

The pest on my adeniums were aphids. I removed them with alcohol and they didn't come back. :) Have you tried pollinating your adeniums?

Pink Sugar, no I haven’t! I actually only have one adenium, and it was a rescue that I’ve been nursing for the last year. And that’s the first one I’ve ever owned! So I haven’t had the chance to try pollinating them yet. But maybe one day! 💗. So glad your bugs didn’t come back! 🤗

many cacti do it olso saculents... Some of mine that was outside in winter under lower light now turned redish purpulish color - even though they partly in shades, They defently ok and not rotting. Just adapting

Olga Litvinsky, absolutely especially in the spring when the plants are adjusting to more sun, this happens a lot! But as long as they don’t burn they usually adjust just fine. Glad your babies are doing well! 💗

Your cat must be pretty well behaved around your plants.

SUPER well behaved. Both of them are. Only when he wants out and can’t get out is there one windowsill he will jump into to look out the window... no matter what plants are there. 😝. But we just make sure he can get out, and they never cause me any problem even with plants all over the house and garage where they live too. I’m very blessed with kitties who never bother my plant babies! 💗
