- I am really loving my South Thailand motorbike tour! Today was another fun day, even though I got totally lost in the mountains. Join me for a fun filled day of adventure as well as me answering some of the most common questions about my motorbike tours. The day started off with me heading into yet another cave (at yet another temple) in the city of Trat. The heat was of course relentless again today, but that's par for the course on this trip. After the cave adventure, I hopped back onto my Honda ADV 160 motorbike and headed out in search of food. I found a great little Halal restaurant on the side of the road. While waiting for my food, I will cover a short FAQ about my bike, my gear, and why and how I pick my destinations. Our next stop was a majestic mountain, where I proceeded to get lost. Both on my bike and then on foot. However it all ended well and I was off to a relaxing afternoon at my next hotel in the city of Hat Yai. This motorcycle tour has been so much fun! That mountain rocks is called Kruha but pronounced like two-word as Kru-ha. Not many tourists there lately, but a very cool place to see sunrise and sunset if you're at the top of the mountain. Well, welcome to Songkla. Glad you've made it here safe and sound. 😊
I really enjoyed getting lost around that rock. I bet it would be wonderful at sunrise or Sunset.

Serg is lost in the jungle again....nobody is around to help you except those monkeys 🐒 🙈. the cave temple 🛕 is quite unique site with a sleeping Buddha...You're truly a challenger to new routes, unseen by others, on your little bike 🏍 😀 finally you have arrived at Hatyat...the biggest town down south...the halal foods look great 👍 the hotel is modern and back to civilisations, once again 😀 thanks Serg for bringing us along this unusual trip, scary at time 😅😂🎉

I have been to Mt.Kuha, Rattaphum, as well. The cafe there provides good view too.

Nice trip Serg! I have been in this region a month ago by my Honda ADV 160. I recommend to you to visit Thale Noi Bird Watching Park such a beautifull place and early morning trip by boat.

Thailand is beautiful shower cold jn the morning swesr all day and evening make sure air con is on wt hotel before you bath, take w bath and is bewr aleeo ever

Seems like I've only found bathtub rooms in the south.
This is the first one I found. I think they are out there, but you typically have to pay extra. For this hotel, the price of $38 was just such a bargain.
You're hardcore riding in this temperatures fully covered with "heavy" motorcycle clothes.
Why no "long sleeve motorcycle protection vest" and a long sleeve shirt?
Its more windy and not so hot underneath
This whole suit is hot weather gear. It’s 50% mesh, it’s just hard to see in the video. It breathers pretty well.

I’m waiting for you to buy a new helmet, maybe I’ll buy the same if you like it. Next month I’m getting the same adv 160 scooter like yours but it’s grey color.
Love this bike. As for helmets, I’ve got a international trip coming up, so I won’t be buying a new one until I return. The helmet I’ve been wearing equivalent of about $80. I’m looking to spend about $300 on my next helmet.

Yes! I saw lots of clear blue skies. It was awesome. Overall, the air quality of this country is pretty horrible. Especially considering I lived in California for over 40 years were the average daily AQI index was under 5!

Shorts and t shirt in a bike will cost you to get sunbird, woodbird, and overheat you much faster. It sounds odd, but it’s basic thermo dynamics.
