I’m trying to wrap my head around the mind set around having a open relationship, how do you get over those conditioned beliefs to get to that point? There’s going to be conflicts in the heart and the mind...
I'd love to hear you view on open relationships from couples who decided to do what straight people do, marriage, or have kids (more and more gay couples have kids). Open relationships have more friends with benefits or friends they had sex in the past than actual "just friends". Nude pics all over the phone, sex texting, Grindr,.... I'd love to see your point of view. Most videos are about "My boyfriend wants an open relationship", but no many if none talks about "My husband of many years, and becoming parents, wants to open the relationship". Thanks @thisisbgm
Thank you for this video. I’m a girl and my boyfriend is bi and wants to have outside female and male partners. It’s a long story but this has absolutely blown up in our faces. It was done way wrong the first time and I ended up getting really hurt. I am still healing from that hurt and all the while still trying to force myself to be open bc it is what makes his life feel more fulfilling. I tried it myself and I quite liked it. I was surprised at how much fun I had with another person who gave me things my partner didn’t. That being said the other night he went to see another girl and I broke down completely and couldn’t handle it. I sobbed all night it was horrible. This video gave me some hope though that all is not lost and I have things I need to work on within myself first but I can get there. I think it’s okay that I’m not there yet and I need to be compassionate to myself about that. I am so focused on making sure my partner is happy I need to take care of myself first.

I used to prefer monogamy in all my relationships, but I quickly found out that monogamy always seemed to apply to me & not them. I am now married to a man that I absolutely love & care for and agreed to an “Open Relationship”. I’d rather know who he is with than discovering it.
Monogamy claims to offer security and stability, but as you pointed out, it doesn't always deliver. I'm glad that you have found a relationship structure that works for you!
My boyfriend asked to be open because he says he really enjoys sex with other guys. The question I always ask is why am I not enough? And he says that’s a selfish way to think. Is it selfish to think that with as much as I do for him, I should be the one he focuses on?
This is a great question and one that I'd love to dive into in a future video soon. The question of "why can't I be enough?" is one I hear often. It's also a question you can ask yourself of your boyfriend. I'm sure there are other people in your life who are meaningful and who help you meet your needs. Why can't your boyfriend replace every other person in your life? It's a rhetorical question, of course. It's healthy for folks to have people other than their one partner to turn to and lean on. We can't actually be all things to all people. This doesn't need to be about you being enough or not enough. It's just about diverse human relationships. What your boyfriend might want with someone else doesn't need to take away from what he has with you. Ill expand more on this soon! For now, this video may be helpful if you haven't already seen it: ruclips.net/video/W09raZZ-ktw/видео.html Also this video for you: ruclips.net/video/gjP9c3CDfFA/видео.html And this one for your boyfriend: ruclips.net/video/zAFZjYxGHZg/видео.html The tl;dr is that open relationships can be deeply committed and fulfilling. *And also* you shouldn't frels pressured into a relationship structure that doesn't feel good to you (and the same applies to him, too)
Have you ever considered an open relationship? Why or why not?
Yes, met a great guy who is in an open relationship

Been there. Try to find a man that shares the same values.
