@@Browny1470 For videos, I use an A7s with a 70-200L series 2.8f lens, with filmmaker Rode Lapel mics. I have 2 key lights to light myself as well. For stream, I use a webcam c922 or something that people often mistake for a dslr due to the lighting I use as well. Hope that helps!
This is the most real advice. I’ve been affiliate for 30 days and after following your tips, I have 233 followers, 52 subbies and 18-25 average viewers (peaks anywhere from 27-36 views). You are soooo helpful. I’ve gotten to know so many people and although it starts to get hard to remember everyone, it’s super fun to make connections. Thank you!❤️
I for myself appreciate the matter of fact that you get straight to the point, no hesitations, no 3 year intros, immediate disclaimer, and get rolling. Thumbs up Stream Scheme!
Remember y'all make sure to ignore the viewer count, it'll make you nervous and production quality will go down, you'll get viewers eventually just keep trying! You can turn off you viewer count by clicking the number and it'll look like this: --, instead of having your viewer count
i got to 4 average viewers and then had some exams and stopped for two weeks and i’ve gone back to zero … time to binge watch this entire channel for the second time you get me
This is THE video every small streamer should be watching, imo. You were genuinely helping and not just presenting tricks that work in the short term only. If we look at all of the advice, they are very logical. Should almost be common sense, really. I guess they are not because of two things you mentioned: wanting to grow fast + not critically analyzing one's own work. Those hinder growth for many. I'm glad I'm already doing some of the things you mentioned. The consistency is the major issue, but there's only so much I can do while having a job and a family with children. Thank you for the video 😃
fun fact: before watching this video, I had 200+ followers and zero subs. After? My average is increasing steadily and my cactus theme is becoming more recognizable. God bless you sir :)
I streamed a few days ago on twitch for the first time ever. Something I always wanted to do just to pass time if I was bored and meet some people that just wanna chat while I play a game. In 3 hrs of streaming I had 3 viewers (not at once, just total). I was honestly happy that people even found me and watched for even just a few minutes. I like this video. Will watch more and apply some tips I find useful.
Btw thanks for the time stamps. I will be coming back to this video specifically and check out certain parts of it. While you were talking I already had a couple ideas pop up I wanna try.
Legitimately one of the best videos I watched before I started streaming. Just wanted to come back and say a massive thank you for all the tips and help that you provided in this video. I took the advice you presented and went from a 1 viewer Andy to having an awesome little community all because I took the time to actually follow these tips. Your tips on discoverability and community building were especially helpful and have become a staple of my channel. Thank you so much for the help and here's to the future for us all. :)
I watched this video just before my stream and these tips actually helped me get my best stream yet. I got a maximum of 7 viewers which is the most I've ever had and i got 2 new followers from it. I know it's not much but it's a start. I'm so thankful for your videos!
Yes I had a similar experience just started a speedrun as always and suddenly 7 people tuned in and 3 random chatters talked to me gave me tips etc! Defenitely one of the best ferlings ive ever had to make people enjoy your content
Naming your streams after puns is such a good tip! I personally do this with most of my streams and every time I do, someone comes in chat and asks me about it. It helps encourage chat and bring new people in.
Hello Eljay I'm Tony aka Runner 26_2. I started watching your videos about two weeks ago (yeah I know I am late to the party!) and after implementing everything you told me to do I went from 0 followers to, as of this writing, 62 and I got my affiliate invite from Twitch yesterday! So I just want to tell you thank you for making these videos, thank you for being on Twitch and thank you for being open, truthful and a master of your craft! I honestly feel I have some traction and that this is finally becoming a viable career option because to be honest I don't see myself doing anything else. I honestly love my followers and absolutely love engaging in my chat community. I have also learned to keep polishing my Twitch channel, uploaded a few VODs on You Tube and currently working on a new Discord. All the suggestions you made by the way. Well TL;DR your awesome, thank you for the tutorials and the many life lessons and see you next stream!! Respectfully, Tony AKA Runner 26_2
Gimmicks don't work in the long run! You need solid velocity for growth on any platform or else you end up with 500 followers and 0 viewers! Hope I can continue to help!
I’ve been consistent since December but started streaming in 2017. There used to be a way to filter to only see small community channels and now it’s all buried in by bigger streamers. I’ve got good quality, talking 24/7 and I’m also very critical on myself. After this video I think I found where I’ve gone wrong... I’m streaming in the wrong category. Terrible for growth! I need to do some research on some of the games I’d like to play and see which ones show the most little communities and stream there. This video has been beyond helpful, thank you.
Dude. I stumbled onto your content and I watched my first two videos and I appreciate how thorough you are in your descriptions of how you accomplished your goals. I have watched so many other youtube "how to grow your stream" videos that I have lost count and I can say with 100 percent honesty I think yours have been my favorite. I have been streaming for 17 months. I have learned so much but I am stuck in my growth of 2-6 avg viewers per stream and it's been great to see some of your content and think about what I am doing that could be improved upon. Thank you.
Can we just appreciate he loved and replied to everyone comment. That’s what a call a legend! Good advice. I am now inspired to be myself and go for it streaming!
I subscribed to you after the first video I watched. Now I'm just flat out bingeing. I love that you're logical, rational and critical. Clearly, you are a man of science & data.
Just started streaming 6 days ago and already have started getting above 2 average viewers in my last couple streams. I’ve been watching your videos and they have helped so much. Thank you!
This channel is a hidden gem. Helped me a lot, too, and still does. I did my first stream last week and a few since then and had a handful of people not only watching but actually staying for the whole thing. It's a weird feeling but really exciting.
Dude… this is incredible. I feel this this revitalized so much of the flame in me. I got huge growth when I started but have been stagnant for many, many months. But this gives me so many new ideas for streams, and so many new ways to bring great, fresh content to my current fan base and community. I can’t wait to make this happen. Streaming is what I’m most passionate about and I know I can make it work. See you at the top! 🙏
Hey man just wanted to say thank you. I’m a very small streamer and i recently started and i didn’t see much growth but then i used your technique of going to the small but very followed categories and it made wonders in just the first 2 days and now i rarely ever have 0 viewers
I usually don't watch twitch or RUclips tips videos because many of them are generic and don't give good advice, but the knowledge dropped here is actually gold lol. Thanks
Hey Eljay, first off, thank you so much for the hard work and effort that you put into teaching us how to become better streamers, and creators as a whole. I took your advice on trying something different and have always been interested in a career within the gaming industry, and have had a passive interest in creative/narrative writing. So I took the experience that I had with writing through my academic studies and turned my Subnautica playthrough into a creative writing series on the blog that I started in tandem with it. I have shared it around to a few communities on Reddit that I thought would be interested and have received such positive feedback and awesome engagement! So thank you for giving me a bit of a shove to get going, because I have found something that I am incredibly passionate about doing and even if streaming doesn't lead anywhere, I feel that it has helped me grow in many new ways, both personally and professionally. Cheers man.
I've been watching your videos for a while to get tips while starting out, but I'm finally properly delving in now I'm focusing on my channel. For a little context, I started around 9 months ago as a hobby, reached affiliate a few months ago, now just over 150 followers and 15 average viewers. I love it more and more with each stream, so now's the time to improve for myself and my viewers! I really enjoy how your videos focus on creative ways to engage and connect with viewers. Honestly, you couldn't pay me not to do it, and I definitely never think of it as a means to an end, but it really is the best thing about twitch to meet new friends, hang out with them (in my stream, theirs, or mutual friends') and get told something I did was really creative or really made them laugh. So I love the very first tip in the video, and I've been mulling it over all day. I'm not trying to reach my first few viewers, so it's probably not something I'd "need" to do, but it sounds like a blast. I'm trying to think of how to adapt something similar for what I do (variety to be fair - language study streams, games, art, etc). If I come up with a fun spin on it, I'll let you and the channel know :) Definitely think I'll implement the tip to reiterate to my mods and regulars that it's super important to me to greet new people, ask my 'new chatter' question, answer any questions, etc. It's extremely important to me, and I've even seen some channels with channel values alongside channel rules in a panel, which I might do too.
The same for me when it starts, and I understand why. It is a great way to build while you're offline but the time and effort required isn't truly explained when people give that advice! It's important to play to your own strengths when building on other platforms.
I've searched high and low for all types of streaming help videos. Mainly, I have been researching how to be better. These videos you make have firmly placed me in the Stream Scheme School, and they are always very informative, thoughtful, and engaging. Seriously, thank you!
Honestly I started streaming at the start of December and I watched every piece of content i could on the matter. You have been super helpful to me and helping me go in the right direction. The holidays kinda killed what momentum I had going as my regular viewers stoped coming by because they went on holiday and I'm trying to stay positive with that and hoping they come back. But for how I got my first few I have to thank reddit and some creative writing on my part. I started posting to other things than just gaming as well, like I went over to the dark tower subreddit because I wanted to do a playthrough of fallout with one of the main guys from the book and the response was outstanding. Now I got a few follows but no extra viewers from the post, and really I was fine with that because when I was playing I had the mindset of going back to this post and updating it on everything that happened in game. Getting into a mind set of making content with every action really helped me out and gave me and what I was doing buzz, even though it was on another site. So the advice I could give is make what you are doing meaningful to you and even if you are streaming to no one make it for someone.
First off - thank your (as said by others) for not saying I should start a RUclips channel. I'd really like to do it, though, but as I'm already being a designer, a blogger, a streamer by hobby, video producing really aint one of those things I'd like to (or had time to) do. Whenever I'll find someone who would be willing to do video content for me or from stream clips, that'd be ideal. :D Then again, I believe that being active in other platforms can be helpful for growth, but it doesn't actually have to be YT. Some recommend TikTok, some recommend networking in Discords, some do Twitter. Basically you just need to find whatever suits you and what kind of extra content you can do with the skills you already have. But what goes about myself growing on Twitch - haven't had any luck, still at ~5 average viewers, although been streaming actively for 8 months already. I'm pretty critical about my streams and I believe I've done a good job with my streams, the looks of it, with the possible materials and money I've had to upgrade. But.. I'll try to push some more, because I really like to do it and it would be amazing if I could turn it into a half-time job at least. : ) Thanks for the video, again!
I've never thought about streaming, but after i saw this this made me think of all the possibilities i could do. Just seeing these types of videos really motivate me. What you did was GENIUS and the fact that you thought of this, is incredible. I want to wish you luck, and thank you for a good mindset!
The gods have really looked down on me finding your channel. I’ve recently just started to stream and I’ve honestly had a blast but been very unaware of how to grow and how to treat the stream just starting. I’ve watched almost all your videos in about 2 days & I intend to watch them all again and again over the coming months. I thank you now for all the information you’ve provided to people like myself and I congratulate you and anyone who has been successful following your advice. I will continue to take the advice onboard and we will see where my Twitch Journey takes me !
No way hahaha I really respected Harris for what he has done, I just have done RUclips as a career for a few years and I think starting a RUclips channel is a very tough thing to actually do properly.
@@StreamScheme 😂 me too I’ve learned so much from him I’m just starting out as a little hobby but I subbed to you. You have really high quality content for your sub count and that is not unnoticed!
@@nouyama484 i dont really think he has a huge ego I just think he tries to be charismatic because more people stick around for that. Also those same tips are what worked for him so i think thats the point he is trying to make. not saying that your opinion is wrong or anything just sharing my thoughts.
Ok, I watched gazmillion videos regarding "Twitching" "YouTubing" "Growth", and I just needed one video from a person saying - hey its hard, but this is how *I* did it. Its not a rule for everyone but this is excellent starting point especially for saturated gaming market. Most awesomesupercool (trademark on kudo) video, charismatic (non-fraud) personality, and he even looks at his viewers as persons. Hope you'll get thousands of viewers, I admire your drive. Next stop, I'm going to do some introspection.
Hey thanks man! I appreciate the kind words, just doing my best! I hope the video helped, I have some more coming soon on similar growing topics! Thanks again!
User elicitly took the words out of my mouth: Mad respect to this man. Not only did this man give great advice, he also didn’t put 300 ads in this video.
💜 YOU ARE FANTASTIC, ELJAY ! I'm following you since a few days and applying your tips. I can already see more growth and engagement in my streams!! thank you so much!! you have no idea how lifechanging you are!!
Hey Eljayem, just wanna let you know :) Your videos actually did help me create better streams and I just started yesterday [Malaysia time GMT +8:00] at 12:30PM. I followed what you said, schedule my stream, so I schedule it for weekends. At first, I don't have any viewers since I'm streaming music but I try streaming again today with better audio and engagement with myself It went well because I followed the tips you told in other videos. The only tips to it were engaging with the 1 and only viewer that then brings me another one that comes from the discovery page. And slowly it grew up to 4! This might be a small number for big streamers but it is a good start for me already. Will try to prevent dropped frames problem in my next stream since I already know what happened. Thank you so much! My VOD will show you what happened during the stream, there's a massive frozen frame when I reconnect back to the stream. Didn't expect this to happen... My solution to it was moving my computer to a place with a better connection, and that worked. I know this is not Streamlabs fault but my connection. So in my next week's live stream, I will go back to the same place :) Disclaimer: The 4 viewers only come after I troubleshoot everything that went wrong during the stream. Thank you very much Eljay! Loved your videos already! Been watching and researching before I start my stream but clearly not enough because I have to troubleshoot while I go live. Hope to see more Twitch streaming tips!
This video has been recommended to me forever and I avoided it for some reason. You've got a good, relaxed vibe and great advice. Appreciate hearing sound advice that isn't mimicking what so many other channels are pushing.
Thanks for the kind words! I think people naturally avoid it because they feel it’s going to be the same 5 tips as everywhere else which is fair hahahah! Hope it helped though and good luck! I appreciate the comment a lot!
Everyone likes different things, I know a lot of people prefer a community where the chat is back and fourth. I do think it isn't the size necessarily but actually the streamer who is responsible for whether that is the case. I've seen people with 500 viewers have a very nice and responsive chat. It just reflects the streamer more so, but that's the bet part of Twitch there is something for everyone!
Hey thanks so much for the tips man! I always really appreciate and respect people like you looking out for the little fellas like us. I know what it's like to be really harsh on yourself so just remember to be a little easy on yourself from time to time. It's not healthy to constantly analyse things and could downright affect your streaming mood! So just make sure you check in with yourself bro and appreciate the hard efforts you made whether they had large or minor results :)
My second stream last night had a total of 67 viewers, I even got raided by a party of 9 people. They came, watched, typed on the chat and had a great exchange. Tonights stream I only had a total of 3 viewers, a huge bummer and downgrade but watching this video to better learn on how to promote and attract viewers to my stream. This video is really a gem lol, thank you my man.
@@StreamScheme johnnyxswank is my twitch name, I honestly just played a game i love which is persona 5 and was enjoying streaming all night. looking back, the stream was not perfect because I had audio issues but it's a great learning experience.
This video is very realistic and most of the tips have helped me a lot I’ve been streaming for around two weeks now and I got affiliated last week with an average of 7 viewers on among us I’m trying to push further I’ve recently been streaming with other streamers and we host each other regularly which brings each other a lot of viewers but I feel like I’m not progressing at a fast enough rate which is bringing down my confidence and motivation so idk how long I can keep this up without a more active community rn
You've got 7 average viewers after 2 weeks? That is fairly solid man, that is the same as me when I started, and a lot higher than most people after 2 weeks! Now you just need to keep them as a community and focus on consistency. Try not to rush, Twitch growth is fickle and it comes and goes as it pleases. Look for places you can improve that you can control and work on those while nurturing your current viewers into a community. Good work! Keep it up!
Thank you! I have watched a ton of videos, and streamers, about how to grow your community, and this is the first one that really makes sense. I'm going to be putting it into practice starting now. I've had a few games picked out that I want to play already, my biggest issue so far has been making a regular schedule. I have been watching counts on when it seems more people come in, and what they are interested in, and when they come in most. So thank you again, I'll be working on a few more things to make it more interesting, and draw people in.
@@roseiigaming8306 Doing 2 hours three times a week seems to be the easiest for most people, Monday Wed Fri at the peak time for example, and just never changing that schedule while you grow. Good luck!
hey bud, just wanted to let you know that your tips are great! Of all the youtubers giving twitch advice, yours is by far the most thoughtful, and doesn't waste my time beating around the bush like others! keep it up! i'll keep watching!
Very helpful tips I appreciate this video thank you! Luckily I had a small group of friends on twitter who also stream before I started, so it has made the first streams so much better, but I am looking forward to growing some more and I'm happy with what I am creating right now :)
I've always wanted to stream, when I was a kid I uploaded some videos on RUclips using the free version of Fraps lol. The videos are still till this day. My only regret is not sticking to it. So I decided to stream on twitch 2 days ago and when I did get those first few viewers, I was literally over the moon. Thanks for your content, for real, its amazing. Thank you for your critical perspective, keep it up :)
It’s too late at night, but I’m loving these stream tips. I’m taking notes and I’m gonna work my hardest to put these tips into action. Thankyou for these awesome videos!
I've been streaming for 3 years now, to get big you need your friends to watch you. Just sitting there with 1 constant viewer won't let you grow at all
As explained in the video, to start out you can grow pretty easily, but the video isn't meant to say making RUclips content is "bad" simply that there are other ways to try out content creation, such as the reddit example I use.
Very good advice indeed! Your video covers everything accurately. From personal experience I believe the thumbnail is a big deal and I'll tell you why. 3 years ago I gave it a shot to stream on Twitch, I am a bit of a perfectionist so since day 1 I made everything look and sound as professional as possible. I started streaming PUBG (about a month or so after it was released) in my native language given that the amount of streamers in my country on this game were pretty limited and their stream quality pretty basic. Well, day 1 after an hour or so with 4 viewers (my friends) I got raided by a famous League of Legends streamer who wanted to check PUBG streams. 200+ viewers, I got quite stunned and had no idea how to deal with that but I managed to hold up and go along with it. Trust me, nothing prepares you for the chaos of a raid on day one. Later that day, I decided to ask the raider what made him to pick my stream and he explained that my thumbnail looked good, checked my stream and he liked that I put some work into it. That being said, in case anyone is interested what happened in the long run, well... I continued streaming for 2 months, the channel kept growing but I always saw it as a hobby and prioritized other stuff over it, then one day I just stopped, not intentionally but due to heavy load with my work I wasn't able to keep up with it and disappeared.
Absolutely! I used to get so many raids because of the Milk Aisle green screen, people loved the joke they saw from the thumbnail! Great work mate! Sorry to hear you gave it all up but sounds like you were killing it!
@@StreamScheme Eh, I have no regrets, it was a fun experiment that went way better than I thought. I guess I was at the right place the right time. I was curious lately and started considering to give it a shot again now that I got the time to spare and this is how I ended up on finding your YT channel! Awesome content by the way, no bullshit and straight to the point! Keep it up!
At 540 in the video you sold me on exactly when i knew but was so happy to hear, dont push ppl to watch/drop your twitch link everywhere, entice their interest in the game and off handed show ur stream. Im glad i had this part down already, love the content and help sodaL
Thank you so much for these tips! I love your chill energy and realistic advice. I'm so sick of "streaming experts" who are incredibly full of themselves and are yelling at me to focus on RUclips.
RUclips is incredibly powerful, but it isn't the only way to start growing, I think if you want to push past 25 - 50 viewers then you'll need to heavily consider an external platform or external funnel such as RUclips, Tiktok, large collaborations, stream teams, etc. Hope the content helps :)
@@StreamScheme The advice definitely helps, and I don't mind doing RUclips stuff. But I'm going to be changing it up and stop doing stream highlights and such, and instead try and create something more me and more original. Thanks again! :)
I very recently became an affiliate, and so I’ve been doing everything said here before watching the video. BUT. You definitely help finely tune the small details, and that’s what I want. I don’t want to be a good streamer, I want to be a phenomenal streamer with a place for everyone to just sit back and forget about everything. Thank you for the great advice.
If anyone is doubting the legitimacy of some of the ideas Eljay gives us, know that I just searched the Stardew Valley category on twitch at 12:30am on a Friday and none of the streams have less than 5 viewers. And it the category itself is over 1.2 million followers, over 300k more than when this video came out. Your videos are starting to be a secret weapon for streamers, at least for me. I always tend to binge-watch your content and check my stuff to make sure I'm good on your suggestions if I can be!
Remember the category is an example only, it’s meant to help show people how to find unsaturated but active categories. Is Stardew for everyone? Absolutely not, but there are categories out there for everyone to start in. I appreciate the kind words! But I wanted to clarify that this video is all about maximising your streams discovery on platform with categories and standing out as unique among them :)
I had a really good start to my twitch. On my first day, I was already averaging 10-12 viewers after a big raid. As much work as you can put into twitch, sometimes it really is the 'luck of the draw'.
Man, this really helped. I am trying to get started with streaming and it has been pretty hard. Thank you so much. Also, I really admire how you reply to almost everyone here.
Glad I could help! If someone is willing to comment, I do my best to reply to them! If I've missed one it means I'm either asleep or RUclips didn't tell me about their comment!
this channel is so amazing. helpful, high quality. and realistic. its not one of those GET 5000000000000 FOLLOWERS WITH THIS GLITCH cringe videos, it really helped me and others. keep up the good work man
With your help from this, I hit affiliate in 7 Days!! It was so easy with your advice, and so incredible to see results, keep up the good work! You're amazing :)
@@StreamScheme mate just the first tip helped me not go insane from thinking I was watching the exact same video on a different channel for the 50th time. It's great to actually hear you talk about twitch rather than other platforms.
This is all great advice! Personally I started on RUclips with a very niche game, so for me I do see a bit of Twitch growth from RUclips. Especially when I started on Twitch, I already had a few regular viewers jumping onboard. I see a lot of people trying to grow a RUclips channel by just posting twitch clips, but that 100% doesn't work. RUclips content needs so much more effort.
Your "How to Grow On Twitch" videos are the best i've seen so far. You Explain everything so calmly and so easy, really uncomplicated. Thank you so much!
Check out my latest video, it might be a bit of help if you’re struggling to grow. It’s all about how I create content to find an audience and rapidly grow. Good luck!
Or hitting 200 followers and setting up a special stream to celebrate hitting 200 where one person leaves overnight before the start of the stream making your count 199 lol
Finally subscribed after watching so many of your videos. I love the last tip about being critical of your own streams. Especially if you look back at your current layout/about section/mic/etc. and try to see it as objectively as possible, you will see so many things to improve on that you haven't been able to see a few months ago!
Man, I rarely stop on YT to watch content but your content is golden. Love it and it is helping me drastically improve the way I do my streams. Thank you very much for sharing your tips and case studies and please do keep them coming as they are very useful and I really like your style.
Loved the video mate. Lots of lessons learned. I planned to download Apex but cancelled it right after I saw your video. Tonight, I am going to focus on finding something which is unique and I can enjoy playing.
I love this no sugarcoating approach to streaming tips. You say it how it is which is great. I play mainstream games because that is what i enjoy but after watching this video im definitely going to spread my wings and try something new and out of my comfort zone and see where it takes me
I had my first follower come back to my chat yesterday! Been doing it a couple weeks and I already have over 12 followers! Super excited and all of this playing a game no one is watching or playing, just me haha.
The way you talk about it at 6:30 as essentially just "friends hanging out" is touching on what really opened my closed opinions about streaming I was really, genuinely, afraid of being like the soundcloud rapper of gaming. But you don't have to hustle yourself like a plastic shelf piece. You can lean into passions and quirks and build friendships that become a community. That's invaluable in todays age where socializing is one of the hardest aspects of our lives.
Not to belittle the financial, health and nutritional struggles. But even people that'r bogged down with all 3 of the other issues still get nervous about phone calls and meeting friends of friends or being rejected from a circle of people.
This is a pretty big video, but I promise it has real practical advice about how I grew from 0 - 25 viewers in 60 days!

Good luck! Glad to hear the video helped!

Glad it helped!
Good luck to everyone on their journey!
Hey and to you as well!
Thank you.
Really glad I can be helpful! Just doing my best!

Just started streaming 6 days ago and already have started getting above 2 average viewers in my last couple streams. I’ve been watching your videos and they have helped so much. Thank you!
Nice work! Just glad I could help!
How’s it going
Hey man just wanted to say thank you. I’m a very small streamer and i recently started and i didn’t see much growth but then i used your technique of going to the small but very followed categories and it made wonders in just the first 2 days and now i rarely ever have 0 viewers

I usually don't watch twitch or RUclips tips videos because many of them are generic and don't give good advice, but the knowledge dropped here is actually gold lol. Thanks
Glad I could help! Seriously! I am just showing how I grew and hoping it helps! Good luck, keep up the hard work!
If I come up with a fun spin on it, I'll let you and the channel know :)
Definitely think I'll implement the tip to reiterate to my mods and regulars that it's super important to me to greet new people, ask my 'new chatter' question, answer any questions, etc. It's extremely important to me, and I've even seen some channels with channel values alongside channel rules in a panel, which I might do too.
Its crazy how many videos I've seen say to start up a youtube on the side..Thank god you cleared that up within five minutes
Glad I could help! :)

Finding an active and supportive community has been so huge for me. I've been streaming language study on Duolingo for

Thanks for sharing all this! Glad to hear you're keeping on even with the holiday stumble!
What’s your twitch? I follow back. twitch.tv/domkzzle1
Then again, I believe that being active in other platforms can be helpful for growth, but it doesn't actually have to be YT.
Thanks for the video, again!
You clearly seem to be thinking carefully! I have other content that might help as well for growth! Hopefully I can help! Good luck!
I've never thought about streaming, but after i saw this this made me think of all the possibilities i could do. Just seeing these types of videos really motivate me. Hey Eljayem, just wanna let you know :)
Your videos actually did help me create better streams and I just started yesterday [Malaysia time GMT +8:00] at 12:30PM.
I followed what you said, schedule my stream, so I schedule it for weekends.
At first, I don't have any viewers since I'm streaming music but I try streaming again today with better audio and engagement with myself
It went well because I followed the tips you told in other videos.
So in my next week's live stream, I will go back to the same place :)
Disclaimer: The 4 viewers only come after I troubleshoot everything that went wrong during the stream.
Thank you very much Eljay! Loved your videos already! Been watching and researching before I start my stream but clearly not enough because I have to troubleshoot while I go live. Hope to see more Twitch streaming tips!

Killing it man!
I love small community's i hate watching people with any viewers because just being there and chatting can make someones day i love the responses.
Glad I could be of help! Whats your twitch name? And what did you do to first get those 67 viewers? Keep it up! Streaming is a marathon!
Good work! Keep it up!
Stream Scheme thanks I’ll make sure to stay consistent
What really helped me was imagining viewers in a room.
Like, 7 people in your bedroom being like “That’s cool!” That’s so many!
Good luck! Hope it helps!

I've been streaming for 3 years now, to get big you need your friends to watch you. Just sitting there with 1 constant viewer won't let you grow at all
It certainly helps to have a few to kickstart the stream!
My friends say hi then leave, idk y?
My friends don't know what Twitch is 😅
I don't have friends
I appreciate that you're honest and don't encourage me to make a tiktok, youtube, twitch, onlyfans, etc etc just to stream/make content
As explained in the video, to start out you can grow pretty easily, but the video isn't meant to say making RUclips content is "bad" simply that there are other ways to try out content creation, such as the reddit example I use.
I don´t know what happened....but I just learned something! Excellent vid!
Glad you enjoyed it! Hoped it helped!
Keep it up!
Following this I went from 2 - 14 average viewers
Thank you so much you’ve literally helped me already and I haven’t even streamed since watching this video
Glad I could help!
Love the content man! Relatively new to streaming so I very much appreciate the tips!
Just hope the videos help! Thanks for the kind words!
I love the narrative campaign style and the subtle incorporation of your channels.
Seeing stardew without seeing TheHaboo live suprised me XD the speed running community is also super committed despite being tiny.
Oh he’s great! I love watching the runs! Hahaha
100% Sometimes it truly is being at the right place at the right time!
"I know how to count... So I counted..... And, it took... A really, long time...." That line got my 👍
It really did hahahha
this channel is so amazing. helpful, high quality. and realistic. its not one of those GET 5000000000000 FOLLOWERS WITH THIS GLITCH cringe videos, it really helped me and others. keep up the good work man
Hey I am really glad! thanks for the kind words and support! Hope I can keep it up for you!
The most viewers I've had is 23 and I only started streaming around 2 months ago.
Hwwww
That's great though, Patch, what is your average viewers? Keep it up!
@@StreamScheme I started streaming 3 days ago and have an average of 2.2 viewers and Im watching this video right now
It's so exciting starting out! Hope the video helps!
Stream Scheme , My average viewers tend to differ quite a lot depending on the day.. I stream in a saturated catagory but doing well.
With your help from this, I hit affiliate in 7 Days!! It was so easy with your advice, and so incredible to see results, keep up the good work! You're amazing :)
I've watched so many of these videos with identical info and this is legit the first one i actually buy into, good work my dude.
Hey I appreciate the kind words, I just hope the video helped you!
@@StreamScheme mate just the first tip helped me not go insane from thinking I was watching the exact same video on a different channel for the 50th time. It's great to actually hear you talk about twitch rather than other platforms.
Hahaha I’m just glad it helped, let me know if you want me to cover anything else!
I have ADHD and this stuff helps me a bit. Remembering all this is gonna be hard
Is there anything I can add to future content help? Or is it a rewatch and write it down sort've thing?
@@StreamScheme It's more of I need to rewatch 30 times and write it down. And see what I can do.
Your "How to Grow On Twitch" videos are the best i've seen so far. You Explain everything so calmly and so easy, really uncomplicated. Thank you so much!
Glad to help! Hopefully you can use this to grow :)
I'm sure of it!
The hardest thing a small RUclipsr can feel is when you wake up in the morning and nothing has changed on your channel 😢💔
Check out my latest video, it might be a bit of help if you’re struggling to grow. It’s all about how I create content to find an audience and rapidly grow.
Good luck!
Don't give up! I know the feeling all to well. But It makes me reflect on myself and it challenge me to be more creative. Good luck champ
Yes
Or hitting 200 followers and setting up a special stream to celebrate hitting 200 where one person leaves overnight before the start of the stream making your count 199 lol
Finally subscribed after watching so many of your videos. I love the last tip about being critical of your own streams. Especially if you look back at your current layout/about section/mic/etc. and try to see it as objectively as possible, you will see so many things to improve on that you haven't been able to see a few months ago!
The fact that you are still replying to peoples comments speaks volumes
It takes me a lot longer now! Hahaha overnight we had a couple hundred but I’m working on it! Hope the video helped!
@@StreamScheme the video helped immensely and I will be sure to check out your stream!
Man, I rarely stop on YT to watch content but your content is golden. Love it and it is helping me drastically improve the way I do my streams. Thank you very much for sharing your tips and case studies and please do keep them coming as they are very useful and I really like your style.
I appreciate that! Sounds like you're working hard as well! :) Keep it up!
Would you think Animal Crossing is a good replacement for Stardew Valley?
It can be, but it is hard to stand out in the category.
@@StreamScheme Okay
Loved the video mate. Lots of lessons learned. I planned to download Apex but cancelled it right after I saw your video. Tonight, I am going to focus on finding something which is unique and I can enjoy playing.
Hope they continue to help!
I would deffo grab a coffee but it's 2:00am my dude. Need the sleep lol keep up the good work tho 🤙
Hahahaha Fair man, it's only 11:35am for me! And I think I filmed this at 9am! Thanks for the encouragement! Same to you!
@@StreamScheme Thank you dude
I love this no sugarcoating approach to streaming tips. You say it how it is which is great.
I play mainstream games because that is what i enjoy but after watching this video im definitely going to spread my wings and try something new and out of my comfort zone and see where it takes me
Glad to be helpful! Good luck! Hope it goes well and that the videos can help guide you!
Me: bought new camera because its supposed to help
My 1 viewer: Just turn your stream off.. *leaves*
Me:okay :9
They’ll always be negative people, just create good content and focus on that! You can do it!
Man I was laughing and having a good time with him and he just did that...I wanna stream to be home around my kids more
@@zblindsiide Solid reasoning man!
I had my first follower come back to my chat yesterday! Been doing it a couple weeks and I already have over 12 followers! Super excited and all of this playing a game no one is watching or playing, just me haha.
Is that a greenscreen behind you or something else I can’t really tell.
In which shot? No green Sceen here :P
he just blurred his background or its not in focus
The way you talk about it at 6:30 as essentially just "friends hanging out" is touching on what really opened my closed opinions about streaming
I was really, genuinely, afraid of being like the soundcloud rapper of gaming.
