Hi Matt, A stunning montage of clips, thank you for your vlogs this past year, some epic trips far & wide, look forward to your vlogs next year, all the very best👍
Enjoyed the rides! Just stumbled upon your video searching for T120 content. Liked and subscribed. Purchased my '17 T120 around Halloween after a few years with an SE and 25 years with classic T140s.
@@ClassicRides Oh we go way back. My dad had '71 and '72 T120s before being stolen. I rode pillion on them while he said they were the only ones with enough torque to to pull him (my dad was a large man). HDs, Honda, Yams, Suzs, Kaws. He worked on them all. But the only ones to pull him up a hill was a 360º crank Triumph.
Matt, congratulations on a great year of motorcycle content! Your videos are both inspirational and aspirational. They make me want to ride twice as far, and twice as much!! You are truly an artist. Thank you sooo much for your fantastic inspiring videos, Mat! Can you may be tell us a lil about the variety of panniers you use?? Thank you! Wish you a peaceful year 2023!!!
Thanks! The bags are waxed canvas panniers and duffle bags that I've put together as they really suit modern classic bikes. If you 'd like more info you can find them on my website at: www.classic-rides.co.uk/collections/shop-luggage Wishing you all the best for 2023 too!
Un placer ver de nuevo tus vídeos, que tengas tu y los tuyos unas felices fiestas y un feliz año nuevo!!! Feliz Año Nuevo para todos los moteros,un saludo desde España.
Hi Matt....lovely video.....I get the feeling you have probably helped sell a lot of T120s for Triumph.....can I ask...have they ever contacted you as a result of your wonderful videos. Happy new year to you Matt and all your viewer's.
Thanks Nick, I've had a quite a few folk send me a message to say that they bought a T120 because of my videos, which I find both bonkers and humbling; and I reached out to Triumph's marketing company a few times to see if I could have access to their press bikes, but seems I'm still too much of a small fish to even get a reply 🐟😁
Hi Matt. Thanks for another great video. Can I ask - have you tried Motone's Saturn V pipes? Seem to remember seeing them in an earlier video. If you did, what did you think of them? Cheers, Andy.
Hi Andy, yes I did have a pair on the bike briefly. They sounded fantastic and they're really well made. For me though I had a number of small things that made me put the peashooters back on. The main problem was that the angle of the pipes meant it was shooting hot exhaust at the bottom of my panniers, I carry a fair amount of camera gear in my bags so I decided there was too much risk of melting something with them. Also the colour on the polished Saturn V's had a slight yellowing to the finish, which once I noticed it I couldn't unsee it. Then finally, honestly I think I just much prefer the look of the peashooters, I think they're more in line with how a Bonneville should look, so even without those small issues I think would have ended up putting the peashooters back on anyway. BUT, the Saturn V's do sound amazing and the shortened length means adjusting the chain is far easier, so if you like how they look then I say go for it.
@@ClassicRides thanks for that detailed reply Matt, that's really helpful. I know what you mean about the look of the peashooters. It's the chain adjustment that is the pain, which is why I was looking at alternatives....
@@andyjackson6731 Well they'll certainly help with adjusting the chain. Personally I bought a couple of angled spanners so I don't need to remove the pipes to fettle the chain 🔧
@@andyjackson6731 sure thing, I got mine from PrimeTools, you want to search for: Beta 73 Metric Midget Wrench Spanner Open Ends at 15 & 75 Degrees, and you’ll need a 12mm & a 13mm.
Probably the 7th time I've watched this video and it's probably my favorite on all of youtube regardless of subject matter. Great bike, great editing, great music. BTW, what are the soundtracks on this? Love this kind of music.
Thanks Jeffrey, it’s one of my favourite edits too. I can’t quite remember the names of the music artists now, but I’ll have gotten them off Artlist which I use for a lot of the tracks in my videos.
@@ClassicRides Just watched this again. I watch a lot of motorcycle videos/reviews and this is still by far the best one out there. Just masterful and so enjoyable. It is exceptional in every way. Well done sir.
Have you ever considered a wind shield or is that considered sacrilege amongst the Bonneville community? I'm a new owner but I put one on my 2022 t120 and like some aspects of it but the one thing I don't like is the fact that I can't hear my engine roar like I could with out it. Cheers on a great video.
I font find the wind too bad to be honest, the air that hits you nice a clean so for summer I think being without one is a bonus. Though I am thinking for this winter I might fit an Ashai No99 mini screen.
That silver is a perfekt color for the bonnie👍 I'm a big fan of " Tank-bags" ... You dont' like it? Is the nice rack not perfect for it? Greeting from north germany, Bernhard
I haven’t been stopped yet, but I’m careful about where and when to use it and I don’t ride like a plonker, so I think as long as you don’t give the police a proper reason to pull you over it’ll be ok.
Beautiful landscapes and so artfully filmed ! I imagine that you are riding in Wales, Yorkshire and Scotland ? The soundtrack is very good too...just right not too loud and distracting. Thank you !

That's fair enough Pete, polishing's no fun for anyone! Hope you have a great New Year too.
If you 'd like more info you can find them on my website at: www.classic-rides.co.uk/collections/shop-luggage
Wishing you all the best for 2023 too!
Thank you!!! 🙏

You had a good year for sure. Nice vid👍
It's had its ups and downs for sure!
@@ClassicRides Mmmm I would say they are missing an opportunity.
Prob the wrong person reading your letter maybe.
@@ClassicRides genius solution! If it's not too much trouble, can you tell me where you sources those?
@@andyjackson6731 sure thing, I got mine from PrimeTools, you want to search for: Beta 73 Metric Midget Wrench Spanner Open Ends at 15 & 75 Degrees, and you’ll need a 12mm & a 13mm.
Awsome video, how many miles have you put on that beauty?
Thanks, I’ve just rolled over 20k on it now 👍
Probably the 7th time I've watched this video and it's probably my favorite on all of youtube regardless of subject matter.
@@JeffreyBoehm-t5sthanks very much 🙏
Wow
🙏
Cheers and happy New year to you 🍻
Thanks Dave, happy New Year to you too! 🎉
Amazing video! Hoping to get a T120 this year. Got a question: what boots are you wearing at 1:26? I’m really liking them.
The black boots at 1.26 are Rokker Urban Racer's. They're a little expensive but worth it as they'll last a lifetime if looked after.
Thank you!
Great video, I'm looking at buying my first T120. What year is yours?
Mine is a 2017 🙂
Have you ever considered a wind shield or is that considered sacrilege amongst the Bonneville community? I'm a new owner but I put one on my 2022 t120 and like some aspects of it but the one thing I don't like is the fact that I can't hear my engine roar like I could with out it. Cheers on a great video.
I font find the wind too bad to be honest, the air that hits you nice a clean so for summer I think being without one is a bonus. Though I am thinking for this winter I might fit an Ashai No99 mini screen.
Good job.
Thanks 🙏
Q u a l i t y !!!! ❤️👍
Thanks, it was a quality year!
That silver is a perfekt color for the bonnie👍
I'm a big fan of " Tank-bags" ...
You dont' like it?
Is the nice rack not perfect for it?
Greeting
from north germany,
Bernhard
I don’t really like tank bags to be honest, though I’ll use one if I need to and the rack is perfect for it.
I like the silver on black registration plate. Don't the police ever stop you?
I haven’t been stopped yet, but I’m careful about where and when to use it and I don’t ride like a plonker, so I think as long as you don’t give the police a proper reason to pull you over it’ll be ok.
@@ClassicRides I noticed that at one point in the video, you had a conventional plate on it. I much prefer the old ones.
Triumph should pay you, great marketing for them.
That’d be nice 😁
