I wanted to edit this song since sooooo long, and then V7 arrived and gave me the perfect character to edit with. Like the AMV "Forsake me now" I hope I could bring Penny justice, I really love this character and we all know what happens when I like a character in RWBY :) I'm cursed with seeing all my fav being hurt or ruined I guess.

@@Apotheosis yea, I know))) I mean the lyrics of the songs has the similarities with RWBY story in my opinion.
An emotionally powerful tribute to the unwilling Maiden who took one last action to remove the strings that fate had placed on her.

@@nezukochan986 The whole strings of fate thing. When did she do that? She’s definitely had free will and a good amount of autonomy from day 1
When the chorus gets to "Your creations are rife with deviations of life," that would I have been a good time to show the conflicts and flaws within Ironwood, Winter or the Ace Ops. Because the whole point of Volumes 7 and 8 was putting Penny's growth as an independent person next to the Atlas characters trying to wall themselves off from what made them human.
That's fair, I should have originally included Ironwood and Ace Ops more but I decided to focus only on Penny, just wanted to show that even the regular robots are deviating at some point ^^
I think this is a prime example of why what Apotheosis and other amv creators do is a form of art. The lyrics match Penny and her character development through the episodes (e.g. this is my duty, I will decide, I deviate, hesitant sceptical, I can go on but really, every lyric matches something in this video), the scenes are aranged so as to match not only the lyrics, but the music as well (bass changes for e.g. really catch people's eyes and help coordinate eye-ear) and the most important part imo is that even if someone has zero knowledge of RWBY, they would still get Penny's character from this video. This whole video is pleasant and complex experience.

Trying to show an idea, a story, character development through a song and trying our best to make it match willingly or just by hazard sometimes. Thank you again for passing by I'm glad you liked this AMV, I gave everything I could because it's been a year I wanted to edit this :)

Penny was treated as a worthless machine by most of the world around her, and so by the time she was in a life or death situation she no longer valued her life...that's my interpretation anyway.
Her death broke me in so many ways...
I'm broken too honestly, I cried like crazy and almost couldn't finish the episode due to the way she died too (it affected me a lot)

Others have commented on how well the song lyrics work with Penny, and I agree with that, but also I wanna just point out how well you timed each scene with each line.

That was beyond perfection. Absolutely amazing, I've got no other words.
This one is my favorite of all. So so good. It made me feel..,like when I first watched blade runner; and when Legion sacrificed himself so the Geth could know themselves. All that compressed into like 5 mins. Incredible.
That ening with Penny's mechanical body colapsing... It hit hard. Masterpiece 100/10

The editing is amazing here. I am in awe. The finale made me feel physically ill and I'm still working through the emotions of it, but this is an epic, beautiful tribute to Penny and her personhood that I can't stop watching.

You do a lot of great RWBY AMV's using JT’s music but have you ever thought about using Fabvl’s, Divide Music’s, Rustage’s, etc.? They have some great songs that I think would fit perfectly with your AMV’s.
I know all of them (except Rustage) but not a single song interests me to edit ^^
@@Apotheosis I can understand that. A lot of their music is heavily focused on the character/show that the music is about anyway, so it’d be kind of hard to do, say, Saiyan Rap Cypher using RWBY characters. Keep up the good work with your AMV’s. Favorite ones would either be the Assassin’s Creed ones and the CoD WW2 one.

J'ai bien aimé l'arc de Penny j'étais neutre la concernant jusqu'au volume 3 mais le volume 7 et 8 m'ont fait apprécier le personnage. Même si j'ai triste de sa fin, pauvre Jaune mais j'ai bien aimé le dialogue entre Winter et Penny. Où je sentais que Winter était méritante, j'ai hâte de voir comment ça va se dérouler pour la suite. J'aime bien les passages avec Penny et Ruby ensemble, c'est juste mignon (Je les shipais aussi). Ainsi que le passage avec les yeux rouges ou bien celui avec Nora ^^

She went out on her own terms to give her friends the best chance of winning, she's more human than many others. RIP Penny we'll miss you.
She got to determine how she goes out, and also, her own legacy. It's a tragic note, but she finally got to choose something for herself after being told all her life what to do and where to go.
