It was unfortunate that really St. Peter’s had an off game against North Carolina while the Tar Heels got hot but still this is one of the all time tournament runs by anybody I’ve seen. Oral Roberts and Florida Gulf Coast were good in their own ways but it was something different with this St. Peter’s team.
Im a diehard unc fan but even I'll say this. Saint peters came into that game so cold but not only that, it was some of the worst officiating I have ever seen in my life going almost all unc's way. It was hard to watch. Obviously I was glad with the outcome but it was undeniable how bad the refs were especially first half
It’s just crazy because you normally don’t see the really high seeds like Saint Peter’s sustain their level of play in multiple close games against the heavy favorites. But from the start, even when being down 6 to Kentucky with under 3 min left, they somehow stayed alive and won in OT. Upsets just don’t usually seem to happen in that way
Anybody that's ever been on the court knows that that pass at 4:12 is a lot harder than it looks. I've had so many turnovers trying it lol. That's a simple pass and cut but big time play. One of the reasons I love the game. Beautiful when you execute right.
I hate to admit it, but I was sorta shocked to see UNC knock off St. Peter’s. I expected St. Peter’s to win…UNC had a mediocre ACC season last year. They just got hot towards the end.
because ACC is actually a stacked conference every year. Unc schedules tuff teams to prepare them for these moments. thats why u see them in tournaments playing teams like Uconn and Villanova. they were 29-10 that year which is good since they have duke, Clemson, Pitt, and Virginia in their conference.
lol almost every shot from the Kentucky game was a prayer. You can tell by how they reacted to them going in 😂😭. Game of their lives and now shaheen not making the tournament at seton hall and all these guards are working at footlocker

And unc the game before had to deal with some of the worst officiating all tourny. Very strange
Also almost all the highlights are of twos, they shut down the three and the three was a major reason they made it so far
Agreed 5:45
U forgot UMBC
Something sports fans will be talking about for a long time. So glad I was alive watching the ride.
That was my first year watching March Madness and it was incredible watching Saint peters
5:02 one of the best drawn up plays I’ve ever seen
And then something similar at 5:22 too
thats pretty standard play bro lol
As an indiana fan any team that beats 2 seed Kentucky and 3 seed Purdue will always be very near and dear to my heart.
What about a team that beats 1 seed Purdue 😁
@@rosef8162 big fan of them as well!!!
@@rosef8162 this video got recommended to me right after purdue lost to the 16 seed
Huge Kentucky/Miami fan here

A post Roy Williams era
Doug Edert was iconic
One day a 15 or 16 seed team will win the tourney, hopefully in my lifetime
Wow. You can tell have well Holloway coached these guys
Watchin this bc my schools a 14 seed dawg i hope they can pull this off
This is why St Peter's Peacocks are No. 1 in the MAAC Last Season
Legendary 🥲❤️🦚 #Jersey
UNC finished in 6th. place in the ACC during the regular season last year, not sure where their long run to the championship game came from. 🤷🏼♂️

I had a hockey tournament during this run I watched all their games nc just said no
5:26 BRO WTF😭😭😭😭
I still can't believe they beat Purdue
Every team they beat was playing not to lose to a 15 seed instead of playing to win
Exactly

Tuff
ITS NOT A RUN IF YOU ONLY WIN ONE GAME BRO WTFFF
They won 3 straight as a #15 seed knocking off #2, #7 and #3.
@@apumo2438yeah
