Which games should I put in part 2? I thought this would be a fun little series while we have a few days off between games.
2005 Illinois vs Arizona
Ucf vs duke 2019
Also Houston vs Michigan 2018
And last one 2010 national championship
Creighton vs UCSB this year
this makes me wish we had a sellout crowd for this march
Same some of the games this year would’ve had crazy reactions
Imagine the oral Roberts game celebration
@@7ck1nggg - Great point. No doubt.
Hopefully next year we will
@@7ck1nggg that would’ve been a whole different type of after party😂😂
Jimmy Valvano running around like a crazy man not knowing what to do with himself is one of the greatest moments in sports history. Loved that guy.
Despite no in-state teams being on the court, that moment is often mentioned among the greatest in New Mexico sports history.
He was looking for someone to hug or celebrate with.
State was 15-9 . They had to win Acc tourney. Did. 1rst round game ucsb? The 90% ft shooter missed 2 1 and 1s. Down 8 wirh a 55 secs won. Won again in 2nd rd by skin of teeth. Had no busines winning other than coach motivate them.
@@shawnyoung8752 pepperdine* I think lol
everytime I watch that clip I laugh so damn hard.
RUclips just suggested this to me after the crazy Gonzaga UCLA game with the buzzer beater in overtime
Makes two of us
Same
same
i was recommended this the day after davidson hit 3 clutch 3’s in a row to ALMOST pull off a crazy ending
0:14 that is one of the most underrated effort plays ever, especially after such an unlucky missed layup. It gave UNC a chance to win the game and it’s too bad that it didn’t happen in the end
I always felt bad for Marcus Paige. He could have jumped to the NBA after his sophomore season but decided to come back to finish his degree. Then he got hurt but played through nagging injuries and a number of UNC "fans" started criticizing him because his stats went down. He was the only reason they were even in that championship game at the end and made every clutch play when they ran everything through him in the last few minutes. And then not only does Jenkins hit the dagger but UNC wins it the next season after he graduated.
It wasn't good enough.
The Marcus Paige double clutch will haunt me forever, could have become one of the most legendary MM shots if they win
The adrenaline of a championship game allows for effort that normally would not be possible
Wish Gus Johnson did more basketball he has crazy energy
His call of the Michigan Ohio State game last year was legendary (football I mean). But man I wish he did more basketball.
Earlier today he did Michigan Ohio State basketball game. Was very suprised haha. Love his energy too. Love big10 football and basketball.
he does plenty of basketball, just doesn't make any march madness appearances anymore
He's the best...ever
As an Aggie, I will never forget that game against Northern Iowa. It was an amazing comeback.
Refs gave you that one
@@CraigsCuts while i agree, NI played shitty defense
Northern Iowa couldn’t inbound the ball, just ridiculous
@@CraigsCuts NI made dumb mistakes and the Aggies capitalized. Simple as that.
Apparently, UNI's normal inbound passer was out with injury for the last few minutes, which threw everything off for them. Why you would only have one designated inbound passer on your team is beyond me.
2016 was by far the greatest NCAA Tourney ever!!🔥🔥There was NBA talent on every team. And every game was a classic.
2016 was the greatest year of basketball
2016 was the greatest year for sports
That comeback from Syracuse against Virginia in the Elite was aboslutely WILD to witness
2016 will always be the year of Steph Curry, because all of these college players wanted to be Steph Curry
@@Helpless7that was epic
As a UNC fan, the loss in 2016 and redemption in 2017 gives me goosebumps every time I think about it.
kinda similar to virginia's loss to the 16 seed UMBC and then the next year they won the championship
@@grahamgregory1450 Not really that similar. UNC went from touching the summit to claiming the summit. UVA went from rock bottom to top of the world.
@@luckylucas8596 Duke did that in 2014-2015. Except it was Mercer as the 14 seed
@@trickee4262 I agree that that situation is more similar, but it ignores the context that UVA is the only 1 seed to lose to a 16 seed.
Man I wonder if Alabama is going to the CFP this year?
Nova vs Nc is one of my all time favorite championship games to watch. That last 3 mins of the game, live, was so intense!
March Madness is so amazing because of all the upsets and the buzzer beaters.
4:15 "Bautista with the CAAAATCH!!!" 😂😂😂 Man I love Gus Johnson
my fav call from gus in march madness. funny and brought the energy out!
I will always remember watching the ending of this UNC NOVA game live. The wildest shot to send it to OT erased by a more wild shot to win it all. Peak March Madness
Need an updated version with the UCLA v Gonzaga game
That Maryland/Michigan St game to me was one of the greatest finishes ever. 4 lead changes in the last 40 seconds. Great game
Bro, FANTASTIC JOB!!
This was a completely well-done compilation.
Loyola Chicago is my favorite team from the last couple of tournaments by far
They are incredibly fun to watch that’s for sure
Valvano and NC State. Not to be mentioned in the same basketball breath as that other public university in the state. Even now I can feel the cheer joy, the incredible journey ends in victory and the greatest underdog story I love to relive. And I'm a Bruin.
I watched that norther iowa tech game with my dad at a bar and we were so happy after the Texas buzzer beater and that game actually hurts my soul till this day
Awesome compilation!!! Hearing Gus Johnson brought me chills and goosebumps 👍🏾💯!!!
I remember collapsing to the floor in awe when my Bruins beat the zags in 06 that was truly quite the spectacle to witness
good job on these videos i am glad you add some context instead just showing the game winner, alot of other videos like this just show a 3 sec clip
4:14 if that shot went in I think Gus Johnson would’ve died
😂😂
That feeling as a point guard of setting up your shooter. Hard to beat. Can’t imagine how it felt for Arcidiacono for the championship.
love the compilation! sometimes there are mini stories within the larger story... it is nice for viewers when mini stories are developed more fully... great vid
Delvon Roe ducking out of the way for Green's pass to Lucious for that last shot in MSU v Maryland is the actual moment of that game. If he doesn't duck it changes everything in the span of about half a second. They went to the Final Four that year and wouldn't have without that split second dodge. I will never forget watching that live.
Best college vid featuring march madness
Any game called by Gus Johnson gives me a borderline heart attack.
Simply the best commentator alive.
Watching Jimmy V storm the court with the look on his face like he just nailed a lifetime goal is my favorite basketball memory of all tie. He was a great man and the NCAA screwed him over.
What do you mean the NCAA screwed him over. I certainly believe that at face value because the NCAA is awful, but give me specifics.
@@rmoultonrmoulton145 The NCAA and several law enforcement agencies put an intense investigation up he ass for recruiting violations. Every time they found NOTHING but continued on with yet another investigation. I believe they forced him to retire. It was very stressful for him and his family. I think it is all on Wikipedia
4:40 that is some amazing quality for 1998. Looks better than the early 2000's videos
Great job in this video!
4:15 that scream just gave me goosebumps…gosh i love the sheer passion for b-ball people have
Great Stuff Keep Up The Work!!--Chris Formular
Great video bro
I knew this video had to be coming 👀
5:03 is I believe the invention of what is now known as “pacer” and almost everyone has a variation of this as one of there end of game/half opposite court out of bounds plays
Never fails to deliver.
I remember the Villanova - North Carolina game like it was yesterday. What a game. ☺️
These give me goosebumps
8:58 choke of the century
Yeah lol that was rough as fuck haha
That's some when you play basketball by yourself type of stuff 😂😂
I actually believe that was fixed There’s no way your up 14 and not just trying to get open
This is why march madness is the best thing in sports. People love the unpredictableness of it.
2016 is amongst the greatest basketball seasons of all time for both college and the NBA imo
One of the best years in sports history. Cavs win from being down 3-1 in game 7, Cubs first world series in 108 years, the Olympics were fire, the entire Euros in France were also edge of your seat entertainment. And Peyton Manning retires with a Super Bowl
Great stuff
If u make a part 2, add Virginia tech vs duke 2019 sweet 16. They missed an easy layup and the bar I went to was screaming in anger and anguish lmao.
as a unc fan i was pissed off for days just wanted to see duke lose so bad lmao
@@matiangk171 then msu enters the chat
I remember. It was a point blank layup and he missed it.
@@beanman4498 then Texas tech enters the chat😈
U hate duke or something?!😑
Not from the US unfortunately, what I'd give to be there... The fact that college basketball is like this is so surreal to me, what a lovely moment everyone from those colleges will cherish
Nobody cares what I’m about to say, but if you do: I grew up in Abilene, Texas, and my brother still lives there. The guy who hit the game-winning free throws for ACU actually goes to my old church, and is friends with my brother. Just an interesting fact
Cool!!!👍🏾
Nice
SFA is better💜
but cool story
That’s coo
The coach running around in that NC State game after the win never gets old.
I was at NC State in 1983, watching the game with some grad school classmates. I still cannot believe the ending.
Should have had Nova vs Pitt in the 2009 Elite 8. The ending to that game was nuts!
From Jesperson from Northern Iowa hits an incredible bank shot from half court to win it at the buzzer over Texas...to Northern Iowa blowing a 12 point kead with 35 seconds left to Texas A&M two days later.. wow.
3:52 gonzaga got their revenge for that one this year
It’s almost that time of the year!
The greatest thing about games like these is the crowd swings in such a short time frame
Gus Johnson could give play by play on a dog taking a shit and have me glued. Dude is on another level
I remember Villanova NC WOW!!
still baffles me how northern iowa blew a 12 point lead in less than a minute and then proceeded to lose in OT
SEEING COACH V. AND NC STATE GET THE WIN WARMED MY HEART AND SOUL. WAY TO GO WOLFPACK!
UNC-Villanova for the title was the best college basketball game I've ever watched. Absolutely incredible, and Nova winning completed my best bracket ever.
2 weeks until March Madness. Couldn’t be more excited
That Northern Iowa collapse is BRUTAL to rewatch
When March madness comes it’s tradition to come back to these
loving some Villanova right now...
At 4:16 I thought if he had made it, Gus would have a heart attack by the way his voice was
Who do you guys have making the Final 4?? I have Florida State, Gonzaga, Baylor, and Loyola Chicago (not biased at all 😉)
Gonzaga, Baylor, Michigan, idk who would be 4th. Alabama is very dangerous, but I dont see us beating the big guys yet.
Well Florida state is probably gonna lost to Michigan lol I’m a Michigan fan so yeah
Zaga, Baylor, Loyola, Michigan
Arkansas,Loyola,Gonzaga,FSU
Michigan Gonzaga Loyola USC
NC State win always brings tears to my eyes.....................tears of joy....................
So we gone ignore Kentuckys tournament run in 2014 when aaron harrison hit 3 buzzer beaters
Yep
6:18 Love seeing this. My hometown team in a real back n forth affair. Unfortunate they lost but crazy Fox and Monk are on the same team again
Shoutout to #10 on MSU for having the presence of mind to duck at 1:51
When I came across this video, I was excited. That excitement turned to pain at 0:01.
Northern Iowa versus Texas I was there that was hosted at Chesapeake arena (now Paycom center)
the aggies comeback has to be the best i have ever seen in sports
That 2017 unc Kentucky game was legendary
that 2017 kentucky team tho full of stars
i remember crying over the unc game bro.. 2016 was a crazy year
Alvin Franklin is one of my customers and he played on the phi slama jamma UH team. That NC State accidental oop still hurts him to this day he says.
U.S. Reed. We need more U.S. Reed's.
That alabama last second three against UCLA this year was fire
The 2016 edition was so good. I may be biased because I had Nova winning it all and won a couple hundred bucks, but it was a fun tournament overall. My personal favorite is 2013 though
I remember that Maryland Michigan state game it was a heartbreaking
Gotta drop part 4 today
The commentator for the ucla Gonzaga game was HYPE
I'll never forget Morrison collapsing in tears after giving that game away
Glad to see chris chiozas clutch shot get acknowledged
Will never forgive myself for saying in my march madness bracket putting Villanova winning 77-74 but last second before the tourney started, changed it to north Carolina winning 77-74, I still have nightmares of it lol
8:43 amazing defense
In the Oregon state game vs Oklahoma State my brother said he bet OSU would win, so I ask him which one and my dad said the black and orange team. Like bruh 🤣😂
That's hilarious 😆😂😆
@@RockCityWaffles it’s my family in a nutshell 🤣🤣
😆
My brother picked "OSU" to win the game in his bracket lmao
@@nathansunday3979 lmao 😆
The 2016 Championship game in Houston was the craziest game ever. I say that as a UNC sophomore who attended the game
As a UVA fan the loss to win in 2018-2019 gave me chills
Maryland seems to lose in the 2nd round often.
The Texas Am game is the reason I don’t look away from games no matter the score
As UNC fan, i have so many feelings about 2016. But damn, that Paige shot
Best shot I have ever seen that didn’t result in a win.
Also, the officiating was tragically bad that year. They were calling nothing on Villanova all game as they hacked our players, but were calling ticky-tack calls on the Heels.
@@howardbaxter2514 i wasn't gonna bring that up but..... Yeah, that. JJ had at least 2 And 1's that weren't called.
At least they came back the next year and won it all, so that pain is pretty much over
@@lakerskid2013 yes and no. If I’m going to be honest, I was not satisfied by the ‘17 National Championship. While always great, something about UNC winning in ‘17 just didn’t feel right.
This is how you make a highlight compilation.
I remember the Lorenzo Charles dunk off a Derrick Wittenberg airball at the buzzer (2:33)
Not sure if being seeded 1 and 2 is really an upset, but that Villanova, Jenkins 3 game winner, was the most amazing game I've ever seen !!
This is why March Madness is one of the greatest sports event
Ik the northern iowa games against Texas and texas a&m games were memorable for good and bad reasons. Northern iowa will always be remembered for upsetting Kansas in 2010
I remember being in Vegas and my buddy being like immediately turn on the Texas AnM game, still can’t believe that happen
Damn @6:18 that Kentucky team was stacked! Deaaron Fox, Malik monk, and Bam
didnt realize how stacked the 2017 kentucky team was, half dem dudes in the NBa
8:47 YESSSS!!!! (proceeds to be quiet)
ppl listening the radio: yes what?
