Illinois is an incredible team, I hope they bring their best against UConn who has looked unbeatable.
I live in Illinois but the run ends here bud. Cant even think about beating the defending National Champs and miss all those free throws. Great team and great season though

@@nickgeorge7112 Fair point. NBA GM's and scouts tend to pick college freshmen, even when they haven't exactly lived up to their 5-star hype. Still, I doubt that they will find 10 such players to pick ahead of him. His game translates very well. He's got range. He can shoot off the bounce or the catch. He is a tremendous athlete and exceptional finisher. If he doesn't get drafted in the top ten, it might be more about the pending legal matter rather than just his age.

Dainja has been a plus for the Illini in this tournament. Without him I don’t think they make it this far.

I’m happy too, but I think Brad underwood made some questionable decisions vs UConn, I think Coleman should have sat more to give Dainja more time, he was the only one who could somewhat guard clingan
What a win for Illinois
Illinois has had to grind it out against a great defensive team in Iowa State. But, in order to take down the defending national champions, they must rebound the ball by committee, get high percentage shots and more importantly, make their free throws

@@jaylenmitchell7165 absolutely right. We have a chance and with the mentality we had against Iowa and a greater efficiency at the line and getting every rebound, I think we can win. Nevertheless, Illinois will be the hardest matchup UConn has faced so far imo.
All those missed free throws started to worry me. I’m glad they didn’t let that bother them and stuck it out. Good win. Let’s takedown UConn next.

It was Houston that had the #1 defense all year long. Iowa St. was always #2 until Houston got injured.
@rsvp1473 Actually Houston led the nation in points allowed per game, Iowa State led the nation in defensive efficiency rating....for example Alabama leads the nation in overall points per game but Illinois leads the nation in overall offensive efficiency rating

illinois is a very exciting team with a brutal draw. iowa state is as close to a 1 seed as it gets but getting them and uconn before the final four is just rough. they can certainly do it as they have several pieces that can beat a team like uconn - the biggest being shannon - a dude on a mission who's showing he's ready for the next level. there's similar praises due to domask, hawkins, and dainja for their roles. illinois didn't put a full game together last night - like they did the past 5 or 6 outings but their coaching and a little grit created too big of a hole for isu. it's been a long time since i could say this, but i enjoyed the feeling of illinois outcoaching another team. keep that up. ill

Underwood erased some of my doubts tonight. Illini didn't collapse with Shannon on the bench. And is the box score correct? Did Shannon only play 22 minutes? If so, that makes his performance even more lights out.
The box score is probably accurate, because Shannon had four fouls early, They had to take them out of the game.
Yep he had 3 fouls early, sat fir a while then as soon as he checked in he got a 4th foul and went right back to the bench....that just goes to show you how dominant he's been to almost drop 30 was wild

ILLINI cannot have the same shooting percentages they had against Iowa St. and beat UCONN. They must meet their yearly averages if they expect to win Saturday night.

4th ranked best offense in college ball best ranked offense in the tournament whos sleeping. its the defense thats not good for IL but they have one of the best offenses in the nation.
The fact Shannon is getting steals to breakaway dunks against a top team is tough.

I will forever remember this game. 1: It's the best I've felt about an Illini victory in my life. 2: Literally right after this game ended, an ISU fan came, found a comment of mine, and just wrote offensive statements and slangs to me. That is after...the day before the game he told me we were terrible, had no chance to win, etc., etc. His slang-writing continued for like 2 days after the UConn L. It was THE WORST. Punishment for the W I guess. I'll take it to win the game 4sure tho. Great season! ILL

@@PatchesOhoulihan159 I live in Mexico, and the best way for me to get my sports fix here is generally to just watch the highlights on RUclips.
So if the thumbnail doesn't give away who the winner is, I can enjoy all the important parts of the game in a short amount of time, and still enjoy the ebb and flow of the game without knowing the winner beforehand.
It's a great way to see a game, but it's much better if I don't know who the winner is beforehand.
Hence me trying to click on these videos without looking at the thumbnail.

Mark 4m55 n 56. Is not That a moving screen ? Yes, then the moving screen guy goes to point area. Recieves pass has his pivot foot fully established.. nope. Lifts up his pivot foot ...the one he planted as he caught the ball. But no..he picks it up to then move forward to dribble. This is 2 VIOLATIONS NOT CALLED NOR SEEN. in high schools do we allow the man to leave his pivot foot after establishing one on the catch. Maybe we can call no traveling in all basketball games and Wooden would puke his guts out. This is JUST BARELY ITEMS ON PARTS OF. I have the entire game because it was so much needed.
