Yes, there is a Hank Williams, Sr. He is a country legend as is his son.
Country is not my genre. I do not care at all about Hank Williams, Jr. But Hank Williams Sr. I got goosebumps just typing his name. Absolutely brilliant. Stunning. Most importantly, authentic. You will love the father.
@@raenellefisher8514 My daddy loved senior!!
Definitely do Hank Sr.
There's also a Hank Williams III, Hank Jr.'s son
@@michaelshelton5488 I didn’t know. Thanks for the information!
When you realize this is the anthem for all of us country folk from around the US!🇺🇲
Hell yeah
Proud to be a country boy
His Dad was great and wrote his own songs...simple but laid the ground work for Traditional country music
As others have said Hank Williams Sr is called the father of modern country music.Hank Jr also has a son Hank 3 and a daughter Holly who are recording artists
Have you seen Hank Jr’s son? He looks just like Hank Sr!! It’s cool 😃
LeAnn Jent Hank III looks like if Hank was on crank
@@leannjent51 can sound exactly like him to
Yes there is a Hank Williams Sr. He was a real country Legend. Hank Jr and him have different styles, different generations. I love this song. Great reaction ❤
There’s also a hank Williams the 3rd who sings several different styles of music and sounds a lot like his grandpa
@@m.f.culler9012 oh goodness, I did forget to mention Hank the third. He does do good stuff. Thanks for mentioning him!!!
@@m.f.culler9012 looks just like him as well Hank 3 that is and it's scary.lol
@@jaybrock812 Minnie pearl fainted the first time she saw 3rd thought she was looking at a ghost. and his son is recordoing now as well goes just by IV
@@cliffgraham9892 I can believe it. Definitely know what side he got his looks from for sure
Im in my 70s my grandfather and my Dad made their own moonshine and had gardens and meat from the woods and clear sprIng water and FREEDOM
His daddy was a LEGEND singer
Country songs are indeed story based. Things we can relate to.
Yes his Daddy does sing as well. True country legends! Hank Williams Sr and Jr!
Check out his dad Hank Williams Sr. He passed away at age 29.
" Hey Good Lookin "
" I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry"
" Lovesick Blues "
" Jambalaya "
Many More!
Lost Highway.
Hank Williams Sr was the first Super Star of Country Music back in the 40’s and 50’s He was the most influential artist of country music ever. He died young, 29.
Yes his Dad was a country artist as well. Remember in the 90's the on Monday night football Hank Jr sung the song for it.
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBAAAALL!?!?
All my roudy friends are coming over tonight. 🤟😝
Awe, I miss that version too!
More than just the 90s too.
A very true song. I haven't met much I couldn't deal with. I make my own whiskey, grow vegetables and hunt or fish for most of the meat my family eats. If the world went straight to hell tomorrow, we'd be fine.
I wish I could say the same thing. It would be so cool to taste really fresh food. I think you are cool.
@@celiasalinas9821
Celia Salinas Thank you. It’s a very good feeling to know that you can feed yourself and the people around you should the need arise. I hope you have a wonderful day.
Hank Williams Snr, Hank Williams Jnr and there's also a Hank 3 and All of them are the BIZNIZZ! BIG FACTS!
Hank Williams sr is one of country music’s greatest
I'm dying!🤣🤣🤣
That Catfish info was hilarious 🤣
News to me.
Catfish lay eggs like all other fish…..during spawning the females lay eggs and the males come along a fertilize them🤣
It's not info. Catfish lay eggs like every other fish. No menstrual cycle. Geeze... 🙄
You two are such an adorable couple! I love that you will listen to music from ALL cultures and find connections. ❤️💕
And trust me, if you came to the country, we folk would feed you (not catfish, if you don’t like that-the freezer is full!) and let you breathe the clean, fresh air and pet the critters, and NO ONE would mess with our friends-whatever their color, or creed or background or whathef@@k ever! If you’re family, we got you covered. 🥰
There is song that was his Father's song called a Tear in my beer. They spliced it so it seems they are singing together even though his dad died when he was about 3 years old. You should it out. A tear in my beer by Hank Williams Jr.
Don't care much for the political views of Mr Williams but a damn good tune nonetheless.😉🙈🙉🙊
Hank Sr is the king of country and Hank 3 had followed in the footsteps of his granddaddy and daddy
Hank Williams Jr's song family Tradition is a great one to listen to as well. All his songs are really great.
I love this song I’m so happy to see you discovering new songs
Hank Willams Sr. is The Godfather of country music. And really had a unique brand of music influenced by a black blues player as a child. Much in the same way Elvis Presley was influenced by blues and gospel. Hank was amazing with lyrics to have only a 3rd grade education. Like the lord really blessed him with incredible talent. And sadly like many of the greats died way to young. He’s to country like Elvis was to rock n roll as Michael Jackson was to pop. Hank Jr is extremely talented can play multiple instruments, sing, and write songs. It’s amazing he’s still alive after falling 500 and some odd feet down Ajax Mt in Montana in the 70’s. He was photographing Rocky Mountain billy goats with a couple guys and at a ledge that gave way . The reason for the beard and glasses. Broke almost every bone in his body and split his face in half. When his friends finally got down to him they said he was only moving his hand, kinda waving. Hank has said in interviews his daddy was there with him as a spirit telling him to hood on. Not to give up and as his daddy walked back into the clouds (heaven) he was waving goodbye to him. Gave me chills when he said that.
Hank sr was an amazing artist that did alot by the time he passed away at 29
East Texas here, and we very much identify with this song...I feel sorry for those in the cities if everything goes to pot...we can get by without the grocery store, we can protect ourselves and we have the skills to build or fix anything we need!
Hank Williams SR was a country singing legend who passed away January 1, 1953.
Ahhh Bocephus in da house 😘. "Can't starve us out...can't make us run"....best damn line right there 🤔. Story about the friend is true as is us and our survival skills. Check out "Family Tradition". Half....he used to the the little diddly for Monday night football (are you ready for some football). Love the music and his father was awesome too. "Walking The Floor Over You" and "I'm So Lonesome". Good vibes and good times equal good feelings 💗🕊️
I'm gonna tell you now, you haven't had the best experience of country music until you are in a room with someone with a guitar and a song. When I was young down here in Mississippi whenever we went to someone's house sooner or later the guitar would come out and we'd have fun. I've got a neighbor living across the road, and I ain't gonna lie, when he sang he was just as good as Hank here, deep voice and belting it out making that guitar sing. When you get a chance find some country folks and gather for some singing, we really are in every state, north, south, east and west. You'll be surprised how good a time you'll have.
If you haven’t made it honor the basis that passed away Dusty Hill from ZZ Top do (sharp dressed man )or legs or La Grange) to start with longest running trio in rock history👍
Or "Tush," since Dusty wrote and sang lead on it. Plus his bass vibe on Tush was raunchy af. RIP Dusty Hill 💔
I didn't even know that myself
My top favorite of Hank Jr.s- IT and “Bluesman.” Love him period! He has a movie called “Living Proof” the Hank Williams Jr. Story.” Highly recommended watch- shows the struggle between him and his late Dads music- and many more fascinating things lmLike his very near fatal fall from a mountain- And I gotta say, I love hearing our girl Jais laugh again!! The BEST! 💖💙👍✌️
When WW111 starts, make sure you have some country friends. Shout out to my Mississippi Stump Jumper brothers and sisters.
Amen to that 💗
by the time world war one hundred and eleven kicks off we should all be long gone tbh
Hank Williams Senior is a legend listen to iam so lonesome I could cry , hey good looking, I saw the light, your Cheating heart, just some of his song
I seen Hank Jr. in concert 2 years ago. He sounds the same as his recorded songs. He was awesome and so much fun.
His dad was the great Hank Williams, country singer. Two generations of great performers.
Family Tradition and Dinosaur both are great Hank Williams Jr songs
Yes their was an infamous Hank Williams Sr. He was a legend and founder of Country music.
We’re all the same. We’re all in this together. Loving y’all!
A great country song y’all could react to is MIDNIGHT IN MONTGOMERY by Alan Jackson. It is kinda spooky and ominous, and it mentions Hank Williams SR
Most music is story telling of personal stories or stories they’ve heard. You can go spend time at ranches all across the country I’d love to see that video !
The Mississippi River is down by 10.97 feet October 2023
I live in Tennessee and I don't ever want to live anywhere else. I see pictures of cities with nothing but tall buildings all around and I honestly don't know how people can stand that. I'd smother to death in places like that. I've always lived where you could look out the window and see houses and trees and all the beauty of nature. I've been to Mississippi Alabama Georgia and Florida to visit in my life and that's the only places. I love the South and the wide open spaces and I LOVE country music. You might like All my rowdy friends are coming over tonight by Hank Jr. The video itself is fun to watch. I've been to a few parties like in the video in my time and DAMN were they fun !!! We cooked a pig in the ground and had beer on ice....the whole country FUN PARTY...😁😁😁 FUN MEMORIES....💖💖💖
Love this song!! Great reaction!
This is the full story of my life! LOL I live deep in the woods with the woman and the kids and the dogs and me! I damn sure got some pewpews! LOL
How can ANYONE NOT like this song! Country Boy or not! It makes City Boys wish they was Country Boys! LOL
Great reaction y’all!
I live in a 40 acre farm, anytime you wanna come milk the cow, collect the eggs, feed the goats and hogs, you’re more than welcome! I’ll sleep in!! LMAO
@@GrumpyGenXGramps Dont tempt me lol
Hank Williams Dad was pretty much the Pioneer of Traditional Country music...and the drinking tradition that's associated with it today
3:44 my jaw dropped and I busted out laughing! How random Half! Jai.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You guys should check out ode to Billie joe if you haven’t already, it’s a great story telling tune
Half & Jai, y'all gotta find someone from the South who makes Scuppernong white wine homemade. I am not a drinker, but I tell ya, I would get messed up from that wine bc it honestly doesn't taste like wine. Its absolutely delicious.
By the way, a lot of my family are absolute good ole country folk. And if the world had to go back to the old times, I don't think a lot of people could do it.
OMG! I haven't heard Scuppernong wine mentioned in such a long time I had forgotten about it!
@@quarterfriedwithdirtyrice8108 it is super delicious.
Oh boy, a whole NOTHER rabbit hole!!!!! You gonna love Jr and Sr both. We taking another great ride with you beautiful people! #HOG God Bless
Hank Williams " Family Traditions"
Much love and respect for y'all!
Some of Hank Williams songs are cold cold heart. I am so lonesome I could cry
Half, you so crazy🤣🤣 I was dying laughing about the catfish. I'm from a small southern town that's right on the Chattahoochee, grew up fishing and catfish is my favorite..like someone mentioned before, no menstrual period for them 🤣 but I do know some people won't eat them because they consider them bottom feeders. They are so good though! My daddy would always pinch the tail off for me to eat lol..yall want to see a small southern town, come on down to Eufaula, AL, we'd love to have you. Much love and great reaction as always!!✌❤
Hank Jr. has been my favorite country singer since 1965. He is the son of the legendary Hank Williams. You have to see his live concert Born To Boogie.
A great story told by Hank Williams Jr is I got rights, family tradition, whiskey bent and hell bound and so many more!
Listen to Hank Jr's "Blues Man." There's also a Hank III. His best song, in my opinion, is "Three Shades of Black." And now there's also a Hank IV, son of III, who has a brand new debut album with a song called "Son of Sin." I recommend the acoustic version of that song. Also Hank Williams was known as the Hillbilly Shakespeare, and was one of the greatest country singers ever.
You two are just such a beautiful, lovely couple. I could see you living in the country and loving it too.
Hank Williams is the greatest American songwriter. (2nd is holland-dozier-holland). Johhny Cash wrote a song about going to see a Hank Williams concert. Leanord Cohen put Hank 100 floors above him in the tower of song. His son is where it all started to go wrong. You have probably heard "move it on over" "I saw the light" and "your cheatin heart". "Rambling man" and "you'll never get out of this world alive" are worth checking out.
Country music is all about story telling, especially the older generation of country singers. I love all kinds of music and enjoy your reactions. Glad to see some country reactions!
One of, if not the greatest Country Blues songs ever written.
You both glow and you're smiles are beautiful. God bless.
Hank senior was one of the greats of his time he died at the age of 29 years old Hank Jr otherwise known as bocephus was forced to dress like his father and play his father's music when he was very young I also believe and I think he is related and he is very good Hank Williams III
Hank Williams Jr Family Tradition. I love that song!
Some history that wasnt mentioned...His Daddy was Hank Williams Sr and died at 29 when Hank Jr was 3 yrs old. He died of self medicating on pain meds in the back of a Cadillac on New Years day. His real name was Hiram and changed it to Hank to sound more country. Hank Jr started singing his daddies songs at 8 yrs old and got booed off strange at 15 cause he tried singing his own songs.
Good reaction to a great country song.
Yes he has a famous father Hank Williams Sr. He did died in 1953 January 1st back in 1983 Hank jr. And his dad did a duet and it's called there's a tear in my beer you should check it out and on August 8th 1975 Hank jr. Almost passed away he fell off Ajax Mountain in Montana him and some friends were climbing the the mountain any fell off of it 575 feet.
Alabama girl I meet Hank Jr several times he is so humble and kind. Love to see your new post
hanks been around since he was 8 years old and his dad hank sr was and is a country music legend
Yes his dad Hank SR. Is a legend and Hank III is a awesome artist too
I have eight and a half acres in the country and it is absolutely wonderful. I love yall's reactions!!
I could listen to his music any day! Love watching your reactions as well! God Bless!
I love the hat bro
Also you guys are goofy cute it's fun to watch all together
It’s very cool that you guys are open to checking out such a variety of tunes
Your channel is a great find and you brought me joy on this night. Thank you.
Another great reaction. You two always brighten my day. Cheers!
Lol- catfish info 😂😂 Jr is also called - Bocephus- bo-cee- fus (written on his guitar) it’s a nickname his father gave him as a child.
yes there was a Hank Williams SR. who was an amazing performer but he passed in 1953
Hank Sr. Is probably the most famous country singer ever. Hank Jr. Is pretty good too.
By the way in Alan Jacksons video Midnight in Montgomery he stops his bus at Hank Sr's grave
Hank Sr only lived to be 29 years old. He likely died from pain mes in the back of his Cadillac on the way to a New Years Eve concert in 1953. Hank Sr. called his son Becephus.
your LAUGHTER is contagious!! PEACE.
I grew up on Hank. This is THE country song. Thank you for reacting to it
Good vibes baby good vibes #goodvibestribe🎶🔥
Appreciate y'all giving other venues.
Check out Hank Williams III. He does awesome country and metal. He is INTENSE live. No talking between songs, just plays. Go out to the country, find a small town and go antiquing. Country folk are very kind. Like the music, they are all about hard work, honor and family.
Omg I’m so happy seeing y’all react to this. I was raised listening to this
Oh man --- fried catfish - hushpuppies - french fries - cole slaw - sweet tea --- I'm in high cotton.
Country music is 3 chords and the truth -- a story.
FYI. He is touring this year! I went to Oklahoma last year to see him!! He is now in his 70’s and doesn’t sound the same but still awesome to see him! My personal fave son is All in Alabama!!
You guys are awesome! That's all posting this before watching the vid.!.!.
I am a little late to this chat but I just found you two while browsing and love your energy. I just wanted to comment on this to let you know there is no greater feeling than blue skies and endless fields of the southern U.S. Regardless of how the politicians make us out to be, you will find the nicest people down here, regardless of race, religion or partner preference. Always feel free to come on down. I am glad I found you two.
Check out the video, gotta do the real video, for "There's a tear in my beer". His dad recorded it in the 50's, but it was never released. His dad would later pass away while Hank Jr., aka "Bocephus" like it says on his guitar's pick guard, was around 2 1/2 . Anyway, the audio for the song was released in the late 80's. Hank Jr. recorded a cover of it, but the video to it is the magic! It was during the dawn of computers being involved with video editing, so they pulled out all the stops for the video and did something that still hold up pretty damn well today. They filmed Jr. singing the song, then combined it with old black and white video of his dad singing a completely different song! They then used the computers to morph his dads mouth into singing the correct words for "There's a tear in my beer". I don't want to give too much of it away, but everyone should check it out just on the video's merits alone. The song is the icing on the cake. You get and adult son singing, and performing with, his adult father, that he never really got to know in life. It's something else I tell ya!
My Grandpa was a huge Hank Sr. fan. My uncle is named Hank after him. The video made him cry, which was hard to watch, but it should tell you the power of it. Hank Sr. is still celebrated in the town right next to mine, Knoxville, TN. It was the second to last place Sr. was known to be alive. Coming from Nashville in Hank's Cadillac, Hank and his driver would next stop at the Andrew Johnson Hotel in Knoxville, where a doctor was summoned for Sr.. He was in pretty rough shape because of alcohol and the chloral hydrate he had taken earlier. The doctor game him a couple of B12 shots to try and give him some energy back. The shots also contained a 1/4 grain of morphine each. That's not much at all, but to an already suppressed respiratory system, it may have been the little extra needed to kill him. I've never heard if the doctor new about the chloral hydrate or not. Either way, Hank Sr. was carried to the car and then he and the driver set off again headed to a new years celebration show in Canton, Ohio. After driving for a while, at around midnight, the two stopped for food just over the state line in Bristol, Virginia. The driver asked Hank if he wanted anything and he said he didn't. Those are believed to have been his last words. (side note - yes it's Virginia, not Tennessee. For those that don't know, the city of Bristol pretty much has a line right through it's downtown section. It's the state line, where you can stand with one leg in Virginia and the other in Tennessee. So, you end up with a Bristol, Virginia and a Bristol, Tennessee.) Remember the "midnight", "Cadillac" and "new years show" parts for in a minute. Back to the story...
The next stop was for fuel in Oak Hill, West Virginia. Once there, the driver found Williams deceased. He had been dead long enough that rigor mortis had set in. After his death, more of his music was released. Some would be among his biggest hits. As a kid, my favorite was "Kaw Liga". Great story and song, one listen and you will see how a kid would like it. His funeral was huge, and was the largest on record in Montgomery as well as one of the largest ever in the state of Alabama. Later on many tribute songs were recorded. The reason you needed to remember those words from above are for these two. Alan Jackson's - "Midnight in Montgomery", which has always struck me as very eerie. The best, in my opinion, is David Alan Coe's - "The ride". Both songs are ghost stories basically. *** Because I know how RUclips can lead you down rabbit holes, I want you all to be warned, if you search for David Alan Coe, only listen to this song and "You Never Even Called Me by My Name". DO NOT listen to much else and definitely do not listen to anything that comes up under D.A.C.. It's basically gangster country, I don't know what else to call it. Some songs are funny, some are sexist, some are pretty damn gross, and almost all are racist. You have been warned, seriously folks! ***
What I ultimately LOVE about the VIBE of this song, is that it is an homage to REAL PEOPLE! And they don’t come any more REAL than Half&Jai! So even though the world tries to divide us, I (being Southern born & bred and everything this song is about) can PROMISE YOU that if & when you ever came here, you would be TOTALLY LOVED and immediately welcomed BECAUSE you are REAL … Spirit Knows Spirit! It doesn’t matter where you’re from; where you went to school; what genre of music you prefer, and definitely doesn’t have a damn thing to do with skin color. Just be REAL! God bless you both! The “good vibes” y’all are putting out into the Universe have picked me up on many a bad day. And I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Keep doing what you do guys....always good to see you having fun :-)
I grew up in the city, but I grew up on the river. I grew up gardening, splitting wood, hunting and fishing. A country boy truly can survive. I can fix a car, change out a faucet, remodel a house, make dinner(all the time,) manage a baseball team...but I can also do computer forensics and fix computers. I have a hunger for knowledge. I am a country boy at heart though. "I can skin a buck and run a trot line"...been there done that. Y'all should do "daddy won't sell the farm" by Montgomery Gentry if you haven't already.
WAY BACK IN THE DAY, TOOK MY DAUGHTER TOO SEE HANK WILLIAMS JR, AND CHARLIE DANIELS. I AM A METAL HEAD/ MOTOWN HEAD. BUT THIS IS GOOD DOWN HOME MUSIC. AT THE TIME, MY DAUGHTER WAS INTO THE BAND ICP... A MUST REACTION..
Ty for playing Hank Williams Jr you guys are totally awesome 👍💯
Love the video!! Your chemistry is awesome!! 😅 Keep up the good work please!
The reason country songs seem to tell a story is because when country music was country music, they were songs about life. Country music is a melding of the Blues and Appalachian Hill music. You should see the movie "Song Catcher". And if you want to understand us and our Hillbilly mentality watch the Patrick Swayze movie "Next of Kin"!!!
This review is so good!!
Much love!! God bless you both 🙏 ❤
Hank Sr. Is widely considered the GOAT of country music.
JAI IT IS SOOOOO GOOD TO SEE YOUR SMILE AGAIN!!! Golly guys I just love y’all ❤️
Matt Hughes. Goosebumps when he would walk to the Octagon to this song. Forever a legend.
you guys are awesome, killing time in my dumptruck and found your channel by accident...I'm a fan now
Hank Williams Senior and hank Williams Junior are both country legends
