Hi Gary! Haha about my phone, maybe I should just pin this comment so people don't have to ask again LOL. I was viewing an apartment in HK about 2 weeks ago. It was on the 4th floor with a balcony. 6'4 and I were both standing on the balcony enjoying the hustle and bustle of Causeway Bay. I decided to take my phone out and capture the view. 6'4 wanted to point at something and say something. During the process of taking his hand out of his pocket and pointing at the something, he knocked my arm and my phone went sayonara 🤣 it feel onto the edge of the 2nd floor, very close to falling down to the ground floor (busy street!). Luckily it survived the fall, except that when I do my intro and lavatory tour I have to be careful before I do those shots with my microphone and I will need to take out my phone case, bits and pieces of glasses fall off each time. haha yes my NC friend and I did the same walk and went back to the same Cheesecake Factory 🤣

It needs to be repaired, I had the same thing, (with Apple Care) it cost $40 in the USA and they replaced everything except the lens and front screen, so it's a new phone (battery too)! haha Yes, RUclips suggested that other Cheesecake video just before I went to this one. What an incredible report. thanks for uploading. Our last Qantas flight was from Brisbane to LAX a few years back. Upper deck in a B747-438, and it felt like being in a small executive jet. Left Brisbane at 10am and arrive in LA at 6am the same day! The magic of the International Dateline to have you arrive 4 hours before you left. Pity the Qantas service wasn't magic even in Business Class. After quite a few bad experiences with Qantas, this convinced me to choose other airlines rather than Qantas. The likes of Singapore, Air NZ, Emirates, Etihad, Thai and JAL get my J class money now.
I am very lucky to have experienced 747 upper deck! China Airlines HK-Taipei in 2019. Although it was a short flight and service had to be quick, it did feel like an execution jet! Recliner seat, crew gave really personalised service👍🏼
Great review as usual! We recently flew Qantas from Denpasar to Sydney in Business. My expectations were low, yet I was surprised and delighted with excellent service, great food and very good wine. Far better experience than a Cathay flight from Brisbane to Hong Kong in Business on the same trip. Good on ya Qantas! Keep up the great work Jayden!
Glad you had a good flight from DPS to SYD! I flew Sydney to Jakarta yesterday. Food was very average, but the outstanding crew made up for it. It can easily be the best flight ever when you have great crew!

Thanks for another great video Jayden. Appreciate your grounded, but positive approach. Regarding the tossing of Pj's - Flew with the wife a few years ago in economy with Qantas. We had this lovely flight attendant who was making small talk with all the customers on board as she handed snacks(?) out. Could see the care and attention she took to each person and she went around and tried to engage with them. Got to our row, took a look at me and the wife and tossed them at us and grunted. Outside of some possible casual racism, I still to this day don't know why she acted that way. On flipside, had the nicest, most attentive ever Japanese flight attendant who was looking after my wifes side when we flew Qantas Business to Tokyo a couple months ago. My side of the plane, had what I would consider an appropriate level of customer service - nothing beyond amazing, but did what you'd expect. Feels like luck of the draw when you fly Qantas.

26:02, Damn, I saw that exact plane 3 days before your Qantas Airbus A380 flight to Los Angeles, I was in San Francisco for 2 days, rent a car and exploring the city, including Chinatown, Fisherman's wharf, Golden gate bridge and San Mateo, it's awesome, the weather is good, clear skies, but that time, the temperture is warm, 30 degrees Celsius, which is not usual in San Francisco since the hot weather in California, including Los Angeles, but it only last 2 days, better than Los Angeles, wow.

What can I say Jayden? You covered all my stomping grounds in LA. When I left LA for the Desert, we didn’t have those trains and all that transportation so I guess you’re lucky. They have it now and much more friendly for visitors. Sorry it’s been raining in Tulum, that area gets a lot of rain all the time. Remember, it’s just water!❤✈️
Haha yes I’m pretty proud that I covered most of the LA touristy sites in one day😂 They’re extending the metro all the way to Beverly Hills. We had four beautiful days in the Hilton Tulum all inclusive. Moved to another hotel two days ago and it’s been raining since. Went out anyway for an excursion yesterday and visited the Cenote, so gorgeous with the rain😍😍😍

Thanks for another comprehensive flight review Jayden. I took that same flight in late May and sat on the other side of the cabin in 26K. Had an exceptional crew who were very willing to engage with the passengers, and a decent dining experience. Crew came up from other cabins during both dinner and breakfast service which made it a good deal quicker. Only downside of the flight was the more than two-hour wait in crowded chaos getting through Customs and Border Patrol at TBIT.
Hi Pierre! Always good to see that the crew from the other cabins come down to help when they've concluded theirs. Next time when you visit the US, download the MPC app, it's free to use and Aussies are eligible :) Super easy to use, fill in your passport details and arrival date. Then when you land, connect to wifi (or use your own data) > open the app > it'll say something like "it looks like you've arrived at LAX TBIT" > it'l' then prompt you to take a selfie and you can head straight to the fast track/special assistant lane :) Took me 20 mins. When I got to baggage claim, mum and I were the only people there (because everyone was still lining up at the general queue)!

Interesting to see Qantas is improving, but not quite there. The people who claim to be sick these days are either hungover or just want attention. Food looks OK and the seat is spacious. Nice lounge i would say.

So you have moved from Australia, that is a shame. So no 6'4 any more then possibly. Keep up the good work and that Airbus A380 does not look too bad, but not enough privacy. The seats on the aisle have no wall of privacy most carriers have nowadays. Wow you are doing north America, only missed Canada out of the trip. I hope you enjoy the trip. I am sure Los Angeles has changed a lot since I was there in 1993 on my way to New Zealand at the time. Heard the hotel I stated in in Anaheim is now a car park for Disneyland. Did universal studios which was great at the time. No beaches as my dear brother gave me a shopping list of what jeans they wanted. Bought and sent back to the UK. Did the Disneyland fireworks which was great.
nah 6'4 moved from Sydney to Hong Kong, so I followed him haha. Canada is booked for February, as well as a flight to Billy Bishop Airport! Gotta renew my ETA. Never been to any of the theme parks in the US. Orlando is on my radar once I save enough for it!
I don't think I'll ever travel business class with Qantas. Hoping to take a holiday in Malaysia using Air AsiaX Premium Flatbed option which is _nearly_ Business Class!
there are many options, via Japan is the quickest. In terms of flying hours, going through Australia is only 4 hours extra. Worked out better for me as it was a lot cheaper than SQ plus I get to spend time to catch up with friends in Sydney

If you have to choose between a CX Safran Cirrus QF/PR Thompson Vantage XL QR Rockwell Collins Qsuite which one will you put on top? Looking forward to your SQ24 video even though you coulld have done the early morning arrival version of it SQ22.
Next month, i will visit LA, there are some questions? 1. Do we will be questioned by the immigration officer upon landing at LAX? And how about our social media? It also be checked or not? 2. Did we have to fill out entry form? Can we fill it on Global Entry or fill it on paper? 3. Did LAX have public transportation? Since US is a car-centric country which i don't think that pubtrans are available on the airport. 4. For the domestic transfer, did we directly go to the respective terminal for next check-in (I will take the Alaska Airlines flight to PDX) or there is a transfer desk on arrival? Thank you
1. Depends on your officer. For this particular arrival I did get questioned a bit. Had to show my hotel and flight bookings. Arrived yesterday again into LAX only one question, “purpose of travel?” 2. No form. Just ESTA or visa. Global Entry is for those who pre-registered and you have to pay 3. Yes as you can see in my vlog I took trains and buses but it is not very well connected. It is improving though.

Oh no so they cancelled my original flight. They put me on the flight that was meant to depart the day before but it ended up departing 24 hours later. So no changes to my itinerary at all except that we lost our seat selection. Other guests would've been accommodated on other airlines and routes. We were gold so we got priority to put on the flight with minimal time change. I need to take one more Qantas flight to become platinum. I am trying this comment in the Qantas Sydney lounge. Will board in 3-4 hours time to Jakarta. Once I land my app should say 'congratulation!'
Another great vlog JW! The Sydney QF lounge is quite disappointing, especially compared to HKG! Has the hot towel service made a return yet? To me, their food offering still needs improving, breakfast serve on one tray, no separate service :( To be fair, most of QF crew are efficient and friendly. Isn't the Cheesecake Factory amazing! That's quite crazy that QF decides to delay the previous day's QF 11 for 24 hours since the flight on ur day was cancelled. The QF lounge in SYD indeed looks a bit outdated, the food offering could be better than what I expect. I thought the interview things were quite interesting, but luckily is stress-free. Talking about the rude crew, tossing a pajamas to passengers sounds out of the world imo, especially in business class, for me is very rude. Anyway, at least the other crew were so much nicer, but service could have been a little bit faster. I know that fast service could felt really rushed, hence they don't really get the personalised experience as a business class passengers, but judging from how you got ur meals 3hrs after the departure time, I think it's quite long. The business class lounge is pretty stunning too and imagine when their A350-1000 comes, the seat itself looks very comfy as well. The food offering onboard looks great as well. Hope you enjoy ur trip 😄

I really really do love the onboard lounge. Mum and I just took the return flight and spent probably a good hour just chilling out there.
Good day Jayden, very nice trip report on Qantas Airbus A380 from Sydney to Los Angeles, I really enjoyed this video. Hopefully on August 2025, Qantas will fly it's Airbus A380 between Sydney and Dallas Fort Worth with replacement from it's Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
Can't wait to see their A380 in DFW! Would love to fly on that

Amazing review Jayden. The delay is absolutely unacceptable. I flew Qantas few days ago from Sydney to Queenstown and they delayed it for a few hours without letting us know

Glad you didn't allow the one disagreeable cabin crew to ruin what appeared to be a terrific flight. Did anyone ever mention the cause of the on board illness? Also, do I dare ask about the absence of 6'4" in the past few trip reports?
Nope I guess they wanted to keep it subtle anyway. I’m guessing food poisoning as it was mostly people downstairs. 6’4 is busy working in Hong Kong!

Interesting to see Qantas is improving, but not quite there. The people who claim to be sick these days are either hungover or just want attention. Food looks OK and the seat is spacious. Nice lounge i would say.
I like how quiet the A380 is. And being such a big plane, its a little more smooth and less bumpy when it encounters turbulence. A shame Airbus ended production of the plane.

So you have moved from Australia, that is a shame. So no 6'4 any more then possibly. Keep up the good work and that Airbus A380 does not look too bad, but not enough privacy. The seats on the aisle have no wall of privacy most carriers have nowadays. Wow you are doing north America, only missed Canada out of the trip. I hope you enjoy the trip. I am sure Los Angeles has changed a lot since I was there in 1993 on my way to New Zealand at the time. Heard the hotel I stated in in Anaheim is now a car park for Disneyland. Did universal studios which was great at the time. No beaches as my dear brother gave me a shopping list of what jeans they wanted. Bought and sent back to the UK. Did the Disneyland fireworks which was great.
nah 6'4 moved from Sydney to Hong Kong, so I followed him haha. Canada is booked for February, as well as a flight to Billy Bishop Airport! Gotta renew my ETA. Never been to any of the theme parks in the US. Orlando is on my radar once I save enough for it!

I don't think I'll ever travel business class with Qantas. Hoping to take a holiday in Malaysia using Air AsiaX Premium Flatbed option which is _nearly_ Business Class!

there are many options, via Japan is the quickest. In terms of flying hours, going through Australia is only 4 hours extra. Worked out better for me as it was a lot cheaper than SQ plus I get to spend time to catch up with friends in Sydney

If you have to choose between a CX Safran Cirrus QF/PR Thompson Vantage XL QR Rockwell Collins Qsuite which one will you put on top? Looking forward to your SQ24 video even though you coulld have done the early morning arrival version of it SQ22.

1. Do we will be questioned by the immigration officer upon landing at LAX? And how about our social media? It also be checked or not?
2. Did we have to fill out entry form? Can we fill it on Global Entry or fill it on paper?
3. Did LAX have public transportation? Since US is a car-centric country which i don't think that pubtrans are available on the airport.
4. For the domestic transfer, did we directly go to the respective terminal for next check-in (I will take the Alaska Airlines flight to PDX) or there is a transfer desk on arrival?

1. Depends on your officer. For this particular arrival I did get questioned a bit. Had to show my hotel and flight bookings. Arrived yesterday again into LAX only one question, “purpose of travel?”
2. No form. Just ESTA or visa. Global Entry is for those who pre-registered and you have to pay
3. Yes as you can see in my vlog I took trains and buses but it is not very well connected. It is improving though.
4. Gotta check with Alaska. Some airlines (like AA in T4) do some don’t

Oh no so they cancelled my original flight. They put me on the flight that was meant to depart the day before but it ended up departing 24 hours later. So no changes to my itinerary at all except that we lost our seat selection. Other guests would've been accommodated on other airlines and routes. We were gold so we got priority to put on the flight with minimal time change.
I need to take one more Qantas flight to become platinum. I am trying this comment in the Qantas Sydney lounge. Will board in 3-4 hours time to Jakarta. Once I land my app should say 'congratulation!'

Another great vlog JW! The Sydney QF lounge is quite disappointing, especially compared to HKG! Has the hot towel service made a return yet? To me, their food offering still needs improving, breakfast serve on one tray, no separate service :( To be fair, most of QF crew are efficient and friendly. Isn't the Cheesecake Factory amazing! Keep up the great work

That's quite crazy that QF decides to delay the previous day's QF 11 for 24 hours since the flight on ur day was cancelled. The QF lounge in SYD indeed looks a bit outdated, the food offering could be better than what I expect. I thought the interview things were quite interesting, but luckily is stress-free. Talking about the rude crew, tossing a pajamas to passengers sounds out of the world imo, especially in business class, for me is very rude. Anyway, at least the other crew were so much nicer, but service could have been a little bit faster. I know that fast service could felt really rushed, hence they don't really get the personalised experience as a business class passengers, but judging from how you got ur meals 3hrs after the departure time, I think it's quite long. The business class lounge is pretty stunning too and imagine when their A350-1000 comes, the seat itself looks very comfy as well. The food offering onboard looks great as well. Hope you enjoy ur trip 😄
Yep mostly stress-free interviews, with genuine Aussie smiles. Even in economy, tossing any items between crew and pax, whatever way it is, shouldn’t be tolerated. Real glad we didn’t interact for the rest of the flight
