The ref isn't giving him a standing 8, which isn't even used in most title fights in any modern promotions any more. The ref is giving a normal count as he can deem a fighter is "down" if he thinks the ropes or part of the ring is holding him up. 1.2.7 in Glory rulebook. It obviously confused Doumbe but it definitely wasn't a standing 8.
Walking forward without being afraid to get hit by anything with some sort of a descent technique only helps so much, once you come across a guy like Doumbe you definitely have to change your gameplan or you'll get destroyed like Harut in this one..
If he was better at being a pressure fighter it could've worked, he wasn't chopping the legs when doumbe was off balance, wasn't digging that body enough

Leaving the ring doesn’t deserve a disqualification especially in this case where he thought he won (it wasn’t intentional) but he deserves a warning or in other old promotions’ rules a yellow card warning . A disqualification should be given if leaving the ring was intentional or if the fighter is stalling the fight too much or if he runs away from his opponent and doesn’t exert much offense or if an illegal move is made :)
Fights should be won on significant strikes landed, don’t understand why they score strikes thrown... anyone can throw and swing but if they aren’t hitting their opponent what’s the point ?
