Doumbe's power is so sneaky. He's certainly a fit guy but he doesn't look like he can sleep anyone with one or two good shots. The power strikes dont even look super fast but they land and they're devastating. His confidence is infectious as well, what a talent.

Doumbe seems to really like large, telegraphed swings, but it seems his athletic abilities and speed still make it hard for his opponents to block or avoid his large power shots even if they are telegraph-able.

Everyone who’s saying he doesn’t look good has to remember in glory as the champion he’s only fighting other elite strikers who have no fear of being taken down so the fights are a lot more open compared to MMA. With all non American/Russian fighters transitioning to MMA there will always be the question of how his wrestling but at aka that gym would have him at least be stuffing takedowns constantly between kickboxing camps. Also with a lot of them it’s about bjj defence aswell cos if you’re low level then even just an average grappler is gonna squeeze the life out of ya.
He got up and said he could fight after 8 seconds, also, this is a title fight. Early stoppage could cause the crowd and fans to go crazy. He called it after the second knock down, which was a clear sign of the win. At least in my opinion

It's tough. Emotionally, I completely agree that it should have been stopped after that first knockdown, but with the 10-count rule in place, the guy never having been finished before and it being a high stakes fight, I don't know if many refs would have stopped it. And if they had, I could see there being not just a public outcry, but complaints from the team of the fighter who beat the 10 count, calls for a rematch, unnecessary controversy over Doumbe's win and legitimacy as champion, etc. Obviously as a human being (and as a fight fan, really) I'd prioritize a fighter's well being over all the controversy nonsense, but yeah, I could see why the ref thought he had to let the fight continue, although it was clearly the wrong move.

Rectification il n’as pas pris 2 ko mais un knock-down et un knockout (ko) et cette arbitre est un des meilleurs du glory sa décision est plus que compréhensive ( il reste moins de 1 minutes dans le rounds il peut donc temporiser et récupérer entre les 2 rounds )

Doumbe is a decent size Welterweight but is never gonna fight at middleweight. And Pereira is a big middleweight and is gonna fight at Lightheavyweight next. Their size differences are an issue .. Sadly won't happen. 🤷🏽♂️
