This could be half of the puzzle. If Oliveira runs through Gaejthe I think you could seriously start to call into question Khabibs Legacy in comparison to Charles
Charles Olivera beats Khabib. I think he could catch Khabib in a submission
No one is taking that belt away from Olivera except Conor
too expensive!!!!
Charles beating Dustin is a huge win. Before losing to Charlie, the only guy who had beaten Dustin in the past 5 years was Khabib. We're talking Eddie Alvarez, Justin Gaethje, Dan Hooker, Max Holloway, McGregor.
It proved Charles is legit
max didn’t beat dustin
@@gabrielhirzel4008 he didn’t say he beat Dustin
Indeed, I think Chael didn't like the fact that Khabib 'smashed' Mc Gregor, thats all !!
Not just legit, but the best.
Maybe to people who didn’t watch him before
Charles is 32, Khabib is 33.
Chael: Oliviera is 3 years older than Khabib.
Me: OK
*WAS 32, WAS 33. Now Charles is 34 and Khabib is 32. Undefeated, undisputed.

@@ruslanpetrovski8413 Uncle Chael is always right about everything. If math or the calendar disagrees, then math and the calendar are wrong.
OK great!
Charles is a deserving Champion and he has proven it. However, it's too early to compare him to Khabib. Yes Oliveira was quicker in finishing Dustin than Khabib. However, that was never the criteria (how quick Khabib finished his opponents) based on which we called Khabib the best lightweight. It was the pure dominance from Khabib which separated him from the rest . Yes you can argue that Charles did it quicker than Khabib so he is better. But I think we should remind us that Oliveira got dropped by Dustin, also by Chandler. Oliveira doesn't appear to be as invincible as Khabib appeared to be in the Octagon. Yes Oliveira is much more diverse than Khabib in stand up, but it doesn't matter if you get dropped by the opponent. Yes Charles is the current best lightweight but we shouldn't really start comparing him to Khabib until he faces Islam who is most similar to Khabib in the division.
Dominance is not the criteria for to best 👍
So many others too add up.. Tibau vs Kabib watch then talk
Khabib can’t knock out Charles tho
I mostly agree with what you're saying but there was always a question mark with Khabib, and that is he never fought anyone who was truly good off their back. That's why so many fans always wanted to see him fight Tony Ferguson, Oliveira is also well known for being extremely dangerous off his back or anywhere on the ground. Does he just smash them like he has everyone else? Maybe, maybe not.
You're absolutely right with the dominance and invincibility you mentioned and I'm saying this as an absolute Olives fan.
Buuut you could argue that Khabib's invincibility crumbled a bit under the Poirier fight when that deep guillotine put him in some trouble.
@@googlename3859 that was matchstyle wise perfect match but Kabib didn't fought Tony plus Kabib vs Tibau match says a there's a chance to win against him only worthy opponent needed matchstyle wise
Oliveira just saved the lightweight division!
The way he went up to Dustin and shook the hand of all the guys in his corner before the fight started tells you everything you need to know.
He’s the champion the ufc has needed for a long time
Very refreshing, especially when the face of the lightweight division a few years ago was throwing a dolly at a bus and acting disrespectful. It has become very easy to be a fan of the champion.
The only downside to Charlie Olives is that he doesn't know English. It would be worth millions and millions of dollars if he learned English. He would also gain millions of new fans because they'll be able to relate to him better.
but Zzzz🥱
Who cares about the respect shit? That’s not what the sport is about and it didn’t save anything. Wether guys want to be respectful or disrespectful has nothing to do with “saving” the division. He’s the best fighter and that’s all there is to it.
He did all of that in the Chandler fight as well. Guy has a heart of gold.
I bet my Ridge-wallet on Olives and now I can finally afford all 4 flavors of Magic Spoon!

Nobody ever comments on Oliveira's MASSIVE handicap, his nearsightedness. He walks to the Octagon with high prescription glasses, takes them off and fights with blurred vision and limited depth of field, wins, puts thick glasses back on so he can see clearly again. Incredible, what a champion!
That guy could do BJJ with his eyes closed.
He can afford lasik, so have a hard time believing he thinks it affects his performance
@Genxthis many people are not candidates for laser eye surgery due to Glaucoma or high eye pressure. He obviously could afford it if it was an option.
@@genxthis yeah, my wife would need three consecutive eye surgeries just have less than perfect vision and then would need laser surgery again in less than ten years. Many doctors told her it wasn’t an option. But I see your point
@@HiramMaxem Fair enough point, but it's conjecture he falls into that category. Ironically this is the same thing i did to make my argument, so it's conjecture on conjecture violence. I'm also near sighted and can afford lasik, but it doesn't affect me in an octogon because everything is near. If Charles was far sighted, your initial argument would make more sense.
I still don't think this hurts Khabib's legacy because Dustin never dropped Khabib at any point in time during their fight. But Dustin won't admit it really but those knees took a toll. 155 just got crazy interesting, Charles vs Justin is gonna be something to watch.
He did almost get caught in that guillotine though. Which is more trouble than anybody else has gotten khabib into.
@@sukmanutzak9547 Khabib is so good he let Dustin get it in tight to gas him out, then he escaped. He talked about that in a few interviews.
Exactly, all this means is Olivera most likely would have beaten Khabib
@@tobysmith2081 howd you do that maths. Khabib most likely takes him down and smother him. I have a purple belt in BJJ so i think i know enough to say that Dustin wasnt close to finishing that guillotine in reality, the fact thats the most trouble Khabib has ever been in is ridiculous. What most people overlook is the position Khabib gets guys in with the wrist control and using his legs to wrap up their legs isnt really position you see in BJJ, I dont think Charles is a good enough grappler to get himself into positions to use his BJJ vs someone who is as dominant on top as Khabib.
Yeah but Olives actually stood with Dustin. KHABIB didn't even try
I would prefer Oliveira against Makhachev next. That's how he takes Khabib out of the question. Not beating guys that we know are worst than Khabib, but beating the only guy that their trainer (Javier Mendez) says has taken rounds from Khabib.
its gaethje first and then makhachev, just because islam didnt even beat a top 5 guy yet..if he beats dariush he will get the title shot next
@@wayneblas4240 Hooker was #5 and Makachev is the current #4, so nope.
More to the point however, rankings are as much a reflection of popularity as they are a reflection of skill, possibly more.
There are almost 200 guys signed up in that division. A few, like Gaetje, Chandler, etc. had decent names when they joined the UFC and got the opportunity to fight top ranked guys right away, while others enter the division without hype and have to keep winning fights just to have a chance at getting a number next to their name. Doesn't mean they aren't as good as the "top fighters", just that they didn't have the hype when they signed, and thereafter, they have to go on crazy winning streak just to get a chance at a ranked opponent.
As a result you have unranked guys who may very well be better than some of the guys in the top 5, but because they can't fight ranked opponents, they don't have a chance to show how good they really are.
Objectively, a big win streak in the UFC means a lot more than a win some-lose some in the top 15.
@@sylver76 A long win streak might mean more than a patchy record at the top of the division but it might not too. Again it’s all about who the wins are against on both sides
dude makachev is not even a well rounded fighter he is just a wrestler dude has no striking ability hes just a hugger
I have a feeling Dariush will take care of Islam
Even after this fight, even after 10 straight wins with almost all finishes, the top lightweights are still thinking Oliveira is easy money. Conor and Gaethje begging to fight him as if the win was certain. Poirier had that mindset coming in to the fight as well, and it did not go well for him. I guess Oliveira still has something to prove before earning respect from his competition.
Connor is on a losing streak he has no right to fight the champ
I think he has to prove he can be at least competitive in the first round and not almost get finished multiple times.
Charles Oliveira was the underdog and most people underestimated or counted him out against Dustin Poirier, so happy for him that he's won that championship fight, kept the lightweight gold, and has proven all the doubters wrong

Charles is a great person , very humble and I sincerely wish He holds on to his belt for a long time, but he has to improve his style, specifically defending the strikes and even take down, otherwise he is going to have serious challenges.
It’s something special when things just happen the way someone tells you before it actually happens, it hits a lot harder when they are no longer here with us. I lost my father in March 2021 to Liver Cancer and may I say Chael he really liked you. he called this Charles Oliveira choke on Dustin. I really couldn’t believe it when he started climbing his back looking for a submission. But I understand when you watch fighters start on prelims and watch them evolve through the rankings. Then you can appreciate the victory and respect their reign. The Oliveira win was very impressive to me. But, Julianna Peña brought me back to the ultimate fighter days watching it with my Dad. Same with Rose, Ferguson etc. I was only 7 years old when I tuned in to watch Royce with him also. I started to tear up when I seen Nunes mentally break and then seen Peña gain traction with her striking. I said to myself “ Dad, Nunes is about to get choked by that girl from the Ultimate fighter, and shock the world.” Then it happened. I couldn’t believe this card. Top to bottom. Kai was awesome may I add. Love the content sir. Bless you. 🙏
I lost my mom november 9th 2021. God bless you you man my condolences. It's been a fucked up year to say the least...
I'm so sorry for your loss, my father just had surgery so I've been thinking about it for the first time and started crying. Honestly it's pretty nice to have a dad worth crying over I'm glad you're here reminiscing about watching MMA with your dad.

I’m still convinced that no one was gonna beat Khabib.
@Dan De Miranda age gets everyone. He left at the right time I think
@Dan De Miranda leaving at the right time doesn’t mean ur too old, but yes I suppose that is debatable.
I totally agree with most of what Chael is saying. However, styles make match-ups. Just because Oliveira bet Dustin faster than Khabib, does not necessarily translate into Oliveira can BEAT Khabib.
This fight truly intrigues me. Will be amazing. Styles make fights and while both of them are great on the ground, their styles on the feet are completely different. On the feet it’s Charles with the very versatile attack vs Khabib with good feet defensively with varied attacks and movements to get you where he wants you in the cage and positionally. Beautiful fight.
ngl if Oliveira didn't sub Poirier, Poirier would of won, that wasn't the case with Khabib though
Barnaoui vs Islam is a great fight to watch. Barnaoui sweeps mackachev against the cage several times, almost armbars him, lots of Ground and Pound by Barnaoui against Islam! Worth watching.
Jack Slack used to have a video on Barnaoui, but it got taken down. I think cuz Barnaoui made an instructional on BJJ fanatics.
My point being that yeah your right styles make match-ups, and Barnaoui was by far imo the most successful against the Dagestani strategy.
Styles does make fights thats why BJJ would wash wrestling any day of the week in my opinion. BJJ is a direct competitor to the art of wrestling, a BJJ practioner has more weapons at there disposal. Oliveira is regarded to having the best stand up and takedown defense game in his division and like Chael previously stated has defeated direct competitors of Khabibs, but did it in a much easier and faster fashion. Hes currently on his way in becoming the best LW in da world and already closing in on having a better resume than Khabib, so yes you are right when u say Oliveira beating Dustin much faster than Khabib doesn't necessarily mean he can beat Khabib but with all the attributes and illustrious resume that Charles possesses, he does have a chance in beating him.
I feel like i’m the only one who feels like if Dustin won it would be Diminished or have an asterisk by his name.
Khabib dominated Dustin.
You aren't the only one. This video from Uncle Chael is bringing up that very point.
@@RonniePTexan No doubt he voiced what i was thinking b4 vid. Even with Justin coming up next i still feel like it won’t be a big deal as far as real champ status.
@@dukemagnum5584 Yes, Dustin vs Justin would have felt like a fight for Silver, not a Gold metal. Charles is making the division and sport move on from Khabib and not have everyone thinking that Khabib is still the real champ.
I bet on Charlie to win by submission, again, and won, again. I hope the bookies offer a bet that Justin is getting submitted like he’s a guy off the street who never trained a day in his life.
I would agree, except Charles lost to Cub Swanson, Max Holloway, Frankie Edgar, Anthony Pettis, Ricardo Lamas, Paul Felder & Jim Miller. If you accept Charles improved, then so can Khabib. For all we know, Dustin got worse...... MMA maths dont work like you are trying to make it
For Conor It shows his chances of becoming a lw champ again is shrinking. For Khabib not that much, as he dominated Dustin better than Charles who had to comeback after losing the 1st rnd to Dustin.
If khabib tryied standing and banging with Dustin on the feet, he would have gotten koed cuz his striking is mid, Oliviera too good for khabib everywhere and would beat him

@UChm0OXbNIVf4Rq13c295gBQ I disagree. DP wasn’t a better version, he showed poor decision making by over correcting his mistakes. He decided to be patient and stay under CO since he didn’t want to be finished. Plus CO held on to the gloves. It made a difference.
I believe Charlie Olivess’ bjj would be a threat to khabib. Khabib would put the pressure on olives. The olives that beat dp would be to tricky for khabib. Charles beats khabib on the feet. South American for the win!
Charles beat Poirier some seconds faster than Khabib did, the difference is Khabib didn´t take more than a couple significant punches and a guillotine attempt (plus never bled), Oliveira was rocked real hard like 3 times and took some serious damage
That's because khabib doesn't fight. He's busy grabby grabby. Charles on the other hand is weird as fked. Though he's not strong in south paw he's still has the balls to fight. Now that's what makes his fight interesting than say khabib.
@@elidyson256 this. charles is not built strong, he does not have considerable power, despite being very technical. He elbowed dustin a lot and we didnt even see blood. Charles striking is evolving, no question, also he has a lot of heart, no question again. However, his striking defense is still average, he should work on head movement. That said, just my cents, he should not fall in love with his striking, but rather use it as a setup for his best weapons (TDs/control/sub). Grabbed and changed grips when warned by the ref. Dustin did a real bad move by trying to roll off of that position. Charles had one of the best bjj in ufcs history. Dustin wouldnt get out of the bottom position. Quit the nonsense.
I had Dustin until right before the fight. First, Dustin did NOT fist bump Bruce buffer, which I believe to be bad luck. Then, Oliviera DID bump the buff, and there was just a determination in his look that sold it for me.
Superstitions...lol
@@Sal3600 he was proven scientifically correct
Cody fist bumped Bruce Buffer..
@@Anjales yes but Cody bumped the buff without any love, which nullifies the blessing.
Its also styles matched up against different styles. That mages a huge difference. Dustin was very scared of going to the ground with Oliveira, and he got capitalized on it. Same as Gaethje vs Khabib. You could see that in the first round where Gaethje was so stressed out he could barely throw a punch or kick without using 200% more energy than necessary. Dustin had none of that fear against McGregor because he poses no threat on the ground. He had faced him before, stand up, had a long time to think about what he could've done differently, seen his weaknesses and prepared for it. That doesn't mean McGregor is done with, it just means Dustin had him pegged to a tee - knowing exactly how to handle him. Oliveira's ground game is as scary as Khabib's, but rather than getting mauled by a bear, you're getting crushed by an anaconda.
All of this means that you can't reach the same level on striking if you're constantly being pressured and fearing getting cornered and taken down. Your leg kicks are neutralized going backwards as well. If you want to kick going backwards you have to use more energy than normal to make it more explosive in order for it to land safely without getting cornered when pulling the leg back and getting your balance back in order.
nice in the fight when Charles oliveira was mounted and he use his hand to push his head yo make dustin forcing back and the get the ginch done and then was over the fight he was very clever
Interesting points but I don't believe it was a "style vs style" type of fight. Dustin has a black belt in BJJ. All this means is that Charles is better than Dustin in stand up and submissions. Your dissection is inadvertently making excuses for Dustin and making light of Charles' win.
Outstanding.
100% correct. Justin will suffer the very same fate Dustin did because his BJJ is much worse!! He will run and strike all nite until he gets caught in a BJJ clinch then he will begin to panic!!

Lots of people will try to say that Khabib's legacy is affected whenever one of the guys he beat gets beat again - but the simple fact of the matter is that unless the guys who are beating his past opponents are actually getting into the ring with Khabib, it doesn't say anything at all about Khabib's legacy.
It's all just baseless opinion to claim that someone's legacy is affected when someone they beat in the past gets beat again, in my eyes they're all just attempts to subtly diminish the significance of the legacy of giants like Khabib, GSP, and so on. Time is the differentiating factor here - nobody goes around talking about how Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson's past opponents winning fights somehow diminishes their legacy, because time has proven that no one can replicate what they did. And Khabib, in time, will come to be given the same reverence and respect that the greats of the past are given now.
If Makhachev destroys Gaethje and then loses to Charlie Olives, then it will tarnish his legacy.
Khabib the Duquitter = Ducker + Quitter HAHAHAHHA
True! Charles got dropped and almost finished in both last fights. Khabib has 0 losses, lost only couple rounds in his entire career (less than what Charles lost in actual fights) he was so dominant, didn't even bleed or get bruised he was like a half God. Oliveira being "complete" means absolutely nothing when it comes to someone as dominant as Khabib, your striking gets thrown out of the window from the get go when you're against Khabib, that would leave their ground game alone and oh boy, Khabib trained his wrestling even with heavyweights, he is way stronger than Oliveira, I have to admit that, if Khabib gets careless he could get finished by Oliveira but that's pretty much it, I honestly believe that a fight between the two would be just a classic Khabib fight, meaning a complete domination

In my total noob opinion Dustin's game plan of taking it to the later rounds hampered his performance. Oliveira came out the gate super high energy, high pace trying to seal the deal and Dustin just seemed like he was coasting, he wasn't trying to win the fight and then he ended up losing.
His gameplan was to take it to the later rounds but thats not what he did if u watch the interviews and the fight. He was throwing heavy shots to take oliviera out and when he couldnt he got tired and then submitted
I think he was. But i believe what fucked him up was the fact he was to afraid to go down and get submitted. So he played super defensive. Didnt even tried to stand up during that harsh ground and pound. He should have tried to scramble. Idk. It wad really hard. He was alredy tired from round 1 to be able to prevent Oliveira's grapple

If he decided he wanted to come back and fight Charles, I think the UFC would make it happen. But with the promise to his mom, Eagle FC and Islam, I think he misses the sport a lot
Fighting is in his DNA, he sounds really frustrated whenever he talks about a fight in LW. But I really think Charles would be his hardest fight (is not like he had any hard fight, anyway), due to his style of fighting
The promise to his mom is an excuse whether you like it or not in the literal sense of the word it's an excuse.
Yea, I think if it was up to him, he would wouldn't have retired until like 30 (GSP) or 33-0 (beat Charles and Chandler) to reaaally put a stamp on it but I clearly remember him saying that his mother didn't want him to fight with out his dad anymore. That being said….I feel like now w/ so many of the fighters so well rounded always being aware of not getting “too comfortable” in ones style & always considering the opponents strengths/weaknesses etc that opens up possibility for fighters who throw that all out the window & throw every strike w/ bad intentions to cause mayhem in fights as well. Tai Tuivasa & Derrick Lewis for instance. I keep thinking that may be Conor’s last stint in UFC going full bore on the power striking since- muscle/weight gain aside- between years of fighting + torn ACL + broken tibia he surely has lost a step & fighting in the “karate side stance” strictly shooting in/out a lot may not be his best bet these days. Sir I think the point you're missing here while comparing Khabib and Charles is the fallibility part. And let's just count Charles's last two fights only and not the older ones at all.
The question here is about fallibility. Who is more likely to make more errors, to get dropped by a punch or be in a position where he is dominated in striking or on the ground. In the Chandler fight Charles was wobbled by a punch and though not entirely knocked down he struggled to get back up. In the Poirier fight too he was wobbled by a punch and decided to continue the fight lying down.
Have you ever seen Khabib in such a position. Have you ever seen him being in trouble or wobbling. He got hit by Michael Johnson but that didn't at all change Khabib's domination in that round. He got hit by Poirier but got back in a dominating position within seconds. He got a nasty leg kick from Gaethje but that didn't affect his aggression on him. Being a thorough analyst that you are how can you leave the fallibility part of the two out of consideration.

Case in point; When Charles wanted to take Dustins back and choke him out, he did so in under 10 seconds and choked him out the next 30. He could've done that whenever he wanted to (proven by the fact that Dustin was so desperately and awkwardly holding on to Charles at the end of the first round, later confirming he did so because he was desperate to not give away his back), he just wanted to trade shots first.
You're discounting the fact that some people DO DARE to be great (McGregor, Charles), whereas other people stick to their comfort zone and avoid real challenges (Khabib)

Bro this is MMA. This is a full contact sport. If you cant outwrestle a champion wrestler or defend yourself from a champion Jiu Jitsu martial artist then you're just not good enough for the sport. Another ironic point that you made. Lets see what you wrote. "Some people DO DARE to be great (McGregor, Charles), whereas other people stick to their comfort zone and avoid real challenges (Khabib)."
First of all Khabib is not the one who stuck to his comfort zone and avoided real challenges. Conor did. Remember the last time Conor did something spectacular in the Octagon. Yes you remember that. November 13, 2016. More than five years ago. Conor's style was great for the sport back then. He was decimating every opponent he was facing. But how has he evolved since then ? What about his grappling, his Jiu Jitsu ? Khabib took him down, beat him on the ground and choked him. Poirier took him down in their second fight after 32 seconds in the first round and Conor couldnt do a thing about it. So its clear as to who is staying in the comfort zone and avoiding the real challenges. Five years and he couldn't become a better wrestler.
Again why the hell does Khabib has to do striking with someone when he doesnt at all has to. That's like clearly saying that the other fighter is not good enough at the skill which Khabib brings so they're asking him if he could play their game so they can have a chance. And As I said this is MMA. Anything goes. If you're not good enough for the game the other guy will bring then you're simply not good enough to win. Its that simple. Asking the other guy to play a certain kind of game that you want clearly means that you know that you don't have a chance at their game. Khabib never asked a fighter to not do striking or Jiu Jitsu with him. So again it is quite clear who the real 'dynamic' fighter here is.
@@nabilahmedkhan8052 first I commend you for keeping this civil, I do realise you're doing a much better job at that than I am so let me try and at least match you on that. I tip my hat off to you.
Ok so I think we're valuing things differently. It seems to me that you value domination, whereas I value daring and reaching for heights.
I won't deny that I'm a huge fan of what McGregor has done, although it is harder to make a case for it the last couple of years.
I'm also someone who is not on the Khabib GOAT train although I do recognize his skills and domination and will even admit that before watching him I thought wrestling was the most boring thing to watch (and today I think it's exciting, thanks to Khabib).
Anyway, I'm the type of guy who tries to account for what people are trying to achieve and the risks involved with hat as well as what they're actually managing to achieve.
If you take Conor for example. He dominated 145 and had one of the, if not the greatest title runs of all time. And he almost killed himself for making that weight, and he managed it all the time.
That's comparable to Khabib who always struggled to make 155 and once had to be sent to the Hospital because it was too difficult for him.
So they both dominated in their title runs in weight classes that almost killed them to make weight in, and Conor gets a slighter edge because he actually always did make his weight.
But then you have Conors amazing daring of going up weight classes and taking on crazy challenges on short notices. Like the Diaz fight.
Many people scoff at that saying that he lost that fight to Nate and Nate only had a tiny bit of time to prepare. But that doesn't matter, because Nate was a 155er who's main attribute is endurance and going to 170 is a much smaller change for him, than Conor who was a 145er and who's main attribute was explosive precision.
For him to go up to 170 on such short notice against a totally different type of opponent than RDA was such a crazy risk and it detoured his career.
But what happened after that? He made Champ Champ a thing with another masterclass performance against Alvarez.
And then he left the sport to go box the greatest boxer that ever lived.
And since then it's been tough for him. He has been struggling hard. He's been inactive and the game has evolved and he's suffering because of it. But he hasn't stopped daring, and he hasn't given up. All of that is commendable.
My point here is people forget what McGregor did because of his latest years.
Similar is true for Oliveira. Because of his losses and some of the damages he takes, people discount how good he is. Oh he took a shot from Chandler, therefore Khabib is better. Or Look he got rocked by Dustin, therefore Khabib is better.
Chandler and Porier are killer strikers, and Oliveira chose to stand there and trade with them. He tested himself against the best and only resorted to the thing he was best at when he had to.
That's a different strategy, one that I would claim shows more heart than those who play the safe cards.
Khabib wouldn't be able to trade shots with Oliveira so the fact that Dustin or Chandler rocked him has very little relevance to a fight between Khabib and Oliveira. It would come down to the grappling part.
Ben Askren lost to Demian Maia. I think it would look similar between Oliveira and Khabib.
In the second round, Oliveira got Dustins back in like what, 10 seconds. And then he choked him out in under a minute. That's a lot more impressive than what Khabib did with grappling. That's the only metric that matters.
Ben Askren said in a podcast that he's disappointed that he never saw a good wrestler go in there with Khabib, though he granted that Gathje does qualify but doubted whether Gaethje still is that good at wrestling.
I don't know enough about wrestling to judge if Ben Askren is full of shit or not, but I do trust him, and seeing Oliveira easily submit Dustin in the second round seem to confirm it.
Lovely but you have to talk about how khabib dominate Poirier the whole round, which is not the same with Charles... Respect to both fighters, they deserve to be champ
True that the legacy of Khabib is at stake. But you have to take into account that Olivera was almost disposed of by Poirier and the rhythm of the fight was way higher. Plus Olivera will have his biggest challenge which I think he won't succeed at,is the Islam Makachev fight and that will definetely seal the Khabib Legacy forever. That if he can survive Justin
he fights justin 1st, then Makhachev if he beats Dariush. Justin will be the next test, then the ultimate test is Makhachev, who represents Khabib the most. At that point, I believe Khabib will strongly consider returning. If makhachev beats oliveira, that secures Khabib legacy
Before owning a ridge wallet I was a single, loser and disappointment man in life but since owning a ridge wallet all of those things changed! I now attract them all naturally! Got me a 10/10 woife! The ridge wallet has changed my life!
Khabib win over Dustin was more dominant. Khabib never had a round like that 1st.
Because he didn't stand with Dustin whatsoever. Different matchups. Jesus, do you people never learn about doing mma math
@@smgyro1476 Lol he did. It didnt helped. Charles can do the same thing that Khabib did, he just cant, and was punished for that with awful 1st round. His own problem.
Khabib never try because he would lose, it's a chicken. It's better Oliveira, more complete and more fun to watch.
@@jguillermooliver Khabib stood 2 rounds against most dangerous striker in the division Justin Gaethje and looked better than any Gaethje opponent. Striking is not a problem for him. Especially if you are not Gaethje.
@@amika8828 Stop lying man, never was standing more than 10 seconds,. He didn't box Justin, just a few seconds standing but never stacking, boxing just running. Oliveira is better, more complete.
Khabib dominated in all 3 rounds against Dustin. Oliveira was beaten like a drum in round 1 by Dustin.
Dominated but couldn't finish it faster. Huge difference
Khabib beats Oliveira idgaf what anyone says
Agreed
Khabub could barely beat the scale let alone Olives
@@not677 oh please Charles is great but he gets dropped damn near every fight, hit way too often
@@limbcollector22 Olives has better striking than Khabum, your made a horrible argument let me help you, the argument you'd want to make is that Khabum could out wrestle Olives for 25 minutes not that Olives gets caught every now and then by good boxing which Khabum doesn't have and has never relied on.
@@not677 Khabib has effective boxing, his mechanics may not be the prettiest but when is the last time Khabib got dropped?
You can’t allow Charles to make it to the 2nd+ rounds. He needs to be taken out early. When we got to the second round, everything I thought could possibly happen, happened. He gets better as the rounds go by.
Dustin I hope makes the right adjustments if they ever rematch. We know he has the power to take him out if he makes a better finish next time.
Imagine Oliveira vs Conor
Imagine RD 1 & RD 2 between the two
@@Jesse_Saucedo Conors best round is usually the 1st. If Oliveira makes it past the 1st, Conors in big trouble imo. Conor bulked up so I’m not sure he’s gonna fight at the same division anytime soon.

Oliveira: Born 1989

It’s true that Olives did what Khabib did, but faster. However Khabib didn’t get knocked down twice in the first round so that says a lot as well. Huge respect to Olives’ toughness the guy is a killer.
And I really think Dustin gave his back way too easily in the 3rd
IMO the Dustin facing Khabib was more dangerous and hungry. The current Dustin got spoiled with the McGregor PPVs. I could be wrong tho.
Exactly! Khabib didn’t damn near get ko’d and take damage
ok but khabib got nearly choked out by dustin lol
@@eivorsin7642 exactly 👍
I was sleeping on Charles’ standup. He for real looks like John Jones in moments on the feet. Mad love for Porier. Great fight.
I didn’t see it until now but facts kinda gives me vintage Jones vibes
CHARLES GOT SMASHED ALL OVER LOL
Yeah...Charles hurt Dustin badly in the 1st round with those knees and kicks to the body. Most folks only see the head strikes Dustin landed but Charles did more damage to Dustin. Softened him up and took his will away. Excellent game plan and was executed perfectly.
@@derekd7756 and he walked him down bro. He walked straight at Dustin I was so impressed. Huge fan of both dudes
it’s crazy how Chael has never been hit or lost a round in the UFC and now he’s flawlessly predicting matches. how does he do it???
You guys are all acting like Charles did not lose to Felder, Pettis, Cerrone, Holloway, Miller, Edgar, Swanson. I honestly love watching Oliveira fight but saying that he is more dominating than Khabib is simply hilarious, the only way I see Khabib losing is a flash Knockout.
Olivera is a different beast at lightweight I doubted him too but he’s earned everyone’s respect I’d say
Win some lose some Khabib has mad fans delusional by thinking taking losses makes you not among the Elite Oliveira is 10x the fighter now he was years back, watch his first Jim Miller fight then watch what Charles does to him in the rematch. Tell me with a straight face he wouldn’t beat Cerrone in a rematch or Edgar even if they were in their primes, he lost to Pettis at 145 where he depleaded himself then dominated Tony Ferguson and beat Dustin Poirier who both finished Pettis. Holloway would beat him again simply because he’s one of the best in the world and a better fighter but Oliveira is undoubtly one of the best in the world as well and I believe he could finish Khabib off his back.
@@tylergogan6716 haha yeah you can believe he can beat everyone although he was subbed and KOed multiple times , you also believe he can finish a guy who has never been finished . And I am the delusional fan? LOL

No.

I think the eagle still the best pp in the light wight not because he just beat all of the above but also because from start of his career to finish never lost so him fighting Olivera is not going to change anything because he just wins all the time does not matter against who. math does not solve khabib legacy
Wtf?
When can we preorder Uncle Chael’s Window Sheen?
It says nothing about Khabib just like Nogueira's loss to Barnett says nothing about Fedor. Anyone can lose to anyone when the fighters are of equal quality. We could question the legacy of José Aldo since he was beaten by Conor, who in turn we could question too because he was beaten by Dustin, who was beaten by Oliveira now. Once Oliveira gets beaten 🤷♂️, then what?
I mean if we’re talking about legacy Charles gets dropped and rocked like 50 times every fight
Khabib is actually a year older than Charlie Olives
Won’t say as much when Islam Makhachev smokes charles
