Gonna upset Aston fans, but man would that be beauitful without the dot on the side 🤣🤣. Joking it's still a great looking car, sad times that we get excited for seeing a manual supercar these days.
Maybe that's what he is driving for gumball 🤷🏻
They don't come with the dot, these are on the configurator bud, just a livery option
@@travisbodemann7847 It's the typical circle you see on oldschool Aston Martin racing, I don't know the true history I just hate how it looks. (Anniversary car though I get it 😔)
@samconroyy some ferraris also have that weird circle 😂
@@samconroyy my brother in Christ it's an option, my God you people. Just open the configurator
The best video on this ASTONishing machine.
$1.3m and they couldn’t be bothered to change the badge on the steering wheel and starter button to the new one, but they did everywhere else
Let's talk about the "finish" of the pedals box at 5:22
@@roxindthat’s standard you can only see that when you get right down on the floor and look same thing on my db11
Who cares
some adventurous drivers miss the revolving license plates, smoke screen, oil slick, machine guns and ejector seat for evil passengers.
They’re just taking the piss now. £1,3m?? 😂😂😂
Taking the piss out the super rich, it’s a great business strategy, it it’s really really expensive it’s will be really good🤔
A million dollars and you get an outdated infotainment system? Lmao
Its all retro my man 😅
This car is worth 1.3? the world has lost it
I know it should be worth more.
Looks like a modern mustang, honestly.
Minus the plastic and pleather 😂
As nice as it looks, it looks more like 400,000. Not 1.3m!
But it's "exclusive". the magic word for uber wealthy.
It’s also hand made, plenty of hours went into the carbon bodywork alone.
1.3 million are they f$CKING crazy
There are an obscene number of ultra-rich people who inherited money with a 30-car garage to fill.
Tax wealth!
No - the customers are
They’ve also filed for bankruptcy recently I think. Maybe this is a way for Aston and customers to get chummy
Sold out boy , you late 😂😂
If we all love a manual, why don't they make more of them? If a regular (?) Aston Martin had an option of a manual I wonder how many they would sell? I'll take one, as soon as my lottery numbers are called!
They didn't sell, that's why they stopped making them Most people don't like manuals and the enthusiasts that do are a small minority. Not enough of them to justify the development for regular production.
I personally don’t see the appeal with it in certain high tech new cars. I can’t speak on this since I know virtually nothing about Aston Martin (I do love how this looks btw). However, for instance my favorite car is the newer 992 GT3 Touring with the PDK. I’d rather have that option for a new car but if I had an older 964 or 930, I’d rather the manual. I do understand that can be a bit sacrilegious to some saying you want a sports/supercar without a manual.
@F1ll1nTh3Blanks Unfortunately you're right but surely they could fairly easily put a manual in the Vantage given last gen had one and the Valour and Valiant have them
Great video, keep up the good content
Amazing… that must be a wild experience…side note: what jacket is that?
Now there is a new variation of this car valiant I think it's called crazy. Superb vid as expected
You are correct. Designed by Fernando Alonso.
“Since the Valiant is based on the Valour, it looks pretty similar. Except, the two-time world champ’s creation has carbon fiber vents, strakes, and louvers everywhere. They’re in the grille, in the front air intakes, above the rear diffuser, on the rear glass, and even in the rear wing. It might not be quite as elegant as the Valour, but it’s lighter and sportier, with better aerodynamics.”
@@SuperHerbie5353 thanks but since this comment I did find out. Thanks for answering never the less
Oh this is a clasic mr jww video more of this more of you driving the insane car line up you own too james feed the algorithm
Its fantastic how "manual era" comes back❤ Now we only need "EV era" goes to hell 😂
i've always loved the interior of aston martins
Well done JWW. Great review. You can park in my garage if necessary!
It would have been a waste not to take the victor to production. There will always be a demand for manual transmission RWD dream cars, even more so in 2024.
Sorry, I don't see 1.3 at all. Hell i don't see 300k. I'm in America, where front engine manual cars are easy to find, you can still buy them brand new. Just a few bolt ons and you reach 800hp pretty easy. They have all the new tech. You can get a really nice version of these cars for under 100k. Anyone that pays 1.3 is literally just saying look at how much money i have. I have so much money, I can't waste 1.2 on car. Nice car, I like the front end, hate the rearend. You did make a great marketing commercial for them though, so there's that. All in all, great video, on a over priced average car
The rear end has 959 vibes. I like..
Show me one with a V12, limited to 110 units and capable of appreciating in value.
While undoubtedly, it is a fine machine. But for 1.3 million, it still seems to fall short in some areas by a fair margin. When you have to make an effort to justify the steering in the car. And that infotainment system is just totally unforgivable at that price point.
Valkyrie is the only one I can tell from the other 7 V named astons
Sublime car.
Great filming as always.
Great narrative.
Thank you
😎😎😎👍👍👍
It looks amazing and I love it, but, wouldn't this be better with the NA V12? Special edition built in small numbers that should allow for a NA engine to be used surely?
NA V12 would have even less power. At some point a limited edition supercar with less power than an EV for a 1/15th of the price is embarrassing. This is a cool retro car, but it's also a cynical exercise in milking the rich.
"You can tell I'm rich because I have an inaccurate watch and a slower car with turbo lag."
A surprisingly basic interior. I love the tweed, and the wooden knob but its very grey, black and uninteresting. It would be something you would expect to see in a car the value of
an Alpine or Dallara.
For how amazing this car is, it looks quite underwhelming on the inside .... really unfortunate.
Dunno but it think it looks proper ugly. Like I can see what they were going for but it’s proper shite. Maybe in person but definitely not on camera
James you need to tell Nico about that plate Number LOL. Most importantly THAT V12 sounds fantastic. Cheers
car is absolutely stunning but im surprised they didnt make the pedals nicer since it has a price tag of over 1 mil 5:22
Ouch! Also note the exposed wiring connectors and that weird radial thing (a subwoofer?). 110 people will spend a lot of money on a slow car with turbo lag, outdated infotainment, and dubious build quality just to be exclusive and show off how much wealthier they are than mere Vantage owners.
We’re you in Aberdeenshire 10th July mr12jww grey bmw
Another great video. So glad manufacturers are still building such raw, manual, mechanical-focused cars, although at an insanely high price. It's an aggressive looking car, although with this paint scheme, from the front, it looks like a Mustang has swallowed an Aston!
The '77 - '89 V8 and Vantage likewise looked like Camaro and Mustang Mach 1 muscle cars. (The clichés about "a bruiser in a Savile Row suit" just poured out back then.) That's why this car looks so good to Aston fans ( but maybe not that excessive ducktail).
I just looked on Classic web site, it lists a whole bunch of 1989 Vantage cars for $200,000 and way up. Earlier ones are a lot cheaper.
Can be a nice machine over all but tbh that interior doesn't feel right to a million pounds car...
Excuses. McLaren has hydraulic steering and ACC.
props to aston for making a manual, non hybrid car!
It’s cool this thing exists!
It's wearing Lipstick , its not exactly beautiful
Apparently manufacturers realized people are not looking for purely performance anymore, the overall experience has become top priority. I expect many more manual transmission sports cars to come out in the high-end market, and for as ling as ICE drivetrains are still a thing
1.3 million for a car with 700 hp LOL. Can spend 20k for a BMW with more power.
Jus say you're a 12 year old
First off, well done Aston Martin 👏🏽 Things I love: V12, manual, retro style. Some missed opportunities: 7K redline is way too low for this special of a machine. They should have used the Cosworth engine from the Victor and not from the V12 Vantage: the end. Lastly, 1780kg/3924lbs is hefty, especially given that at $1.5M-$2M US, it’s as expensive as the Gordon Murray T.33 ($1.8M) at 1090kg/2403lbs, and 5-7X the price of the 911 S/T (1380kgs, 3042/3058lbs EU/US). At this price, it should have a much more special engine, a higher redline, and shave off around 800lbs.
Yes, as per 177..now that was a super car. This is a parts bin effort.
Cant believe it only makes 750hp and 5xxfttq out of a twin turbo V12 the SVJ makes more then that on motor alone...
It's very ugly, especially at the back!
Seems like power should be higher with a modern v12. 700hps would be fine if it was NA, and we got the better sound note out of it.
You'll want the valiant, the upgraded version of this
Is there any chance you could make a video about the Aston Martin DBS GT Zagato
I can't believe they didn't wait for the new interior language to launch the Valour. That means there's probably another one on the horizon. Hopefully a cheaper mass production version. So we can buy it in a few years for 100K.
It's unfortunate it's left hand drive isn't it!
Minute 5:22...a speaker in that place???? 🤨
This is quickly becoming my favourite supercar on sale
Look up the Valiant, this car is the base model of that
They should bring back V12 and MT for the entire lineup! They could even be entry level NA with less power and cheaper, every Aston Martin owner would buy one to play with!
7am in Malaysia. I'll pause going to work to watch this first.
And can't wait to meet you in person when you're here in Kuala Lumpur, James.
classic JWW! great video mate.
That's a good Car when I saw it.
*Now if only Aston would build this for enthusiasts and not hedge fun managers who will drive it one every 3-5 months.... like 1.3M... seriously?*
Im so glad its not a convertible
Sorry, but Ford did it first with the mustang Shelby 🙄😆
Neden otomatik viter değil dünyanın parasını veriyorsun
Needs a velour interior.
I _think_ Aston Martin is one of just three companies currently offering manual V12's, the other two being Pagani and Gordon Murray Automotive. Considering the asking prices from the _boutique_ manufacturers, the Aston is _somewhat_ reasonable at 1.3 million.
What an absolutely stunning car. It looks like a modern version of my favourite Aston the V550 Vantage. Back to the British Muscle car look, hopefully this is a preview of what the next gen models will look like.
Who buys this junk for 1.3 million? It's ugly and it has stupid turbos on a v12 making only 700hp. That's pathetic. It should be 700hp naturally aspirated and under 300k. End of they day it's ugly for an aston martin but it could go as a Genesis l.
I absolutely love Aston Martin, some of the most stunning cars ever built but I’m not feeling this at all inside or out.
700 hp naturally aspirated V12 would be nice. Frankly, turbo charged V12 at this power rating is just not very impressive nowadays.
That thing is gorgeous ‼️‼️
The Valour is cool (especially that it even exists) but honestly I prefer the newly restored DBS. That thing needs a full road trip film please and thank you 🙏🏻🏎️🏁
Red and blue still doesn´t work together, i thought we learned that for good on the Ferrari 296 GTS... 🤢
Even with the blue being almost green...
What they made right with the gearbox, they fucked up with the engine. Can't have it all.
Those wheels are horrendous
Al of these were pre-sold.,Don't know why you are tempting people. They wouldn't start production 3 years ago until 90% of them were pre-sold
Beautiful, but this car a ripoff in price from Aston martin. CHarge more for a manual transmission,, a tuned exisiting v12, and osme unique body paneling.
Okay James, 992 S/T or this. No cop out "they're different" or "need to have both" answer please =]
This has to be the most beautiful aston of all time. Wow. and a TT v12??? take my money now. Great content as always James!!! But in all honesty that interior falls way short in my opinion for that price point and the killer looks on the outside that interior almost makes me cry. Lol
At £1.3 m you would expect the very latest tech inside the car, to last generation parts bin stuff, very disappointing
I gotta say this car is pretty damn ugly for an Aston..it’s certainly no looker and the back end is just looks wrong…my opinion I know and others probably love it but it just doesn’t look classy enough
What a mess in this configuration: wood alu red whitepatch black such a cluster of everything. Could be cool in a better design.
For that price tag, 700hp for a TT V12 is a joke... should go at least 1000hp minimum
the interior look like something out of a Stelvio. Sorry but the interior doesn't match the theatrical look of the exterior. Something like the interoir of a De Tommaso P72, for sure.
All that money and you don’t get the latest infotainment system??? Porsche would’ve done it better.
"Angriest"? I know it must be difficult to write something new about a car, but for god's sake we 're not kids.
At least Aston is consistent. For the outrageous price, you still get tech/infotainment comparable to a Toyota pickup truck.
I’m sure it feels incredible to drive but my god it’s the ugliest Aston Martin ever made. It’s a million dollar Mustang.
Ehm.. ferrari 812 is way more hp from natural aspirated v12 and costs way less..
now i am gonna commit blasphemy and on this amazing video ask, what jacket are you wearing here? it looks very nice
dude, you have access to the most insane aston martins, wow, look at the rear of this green beast, stunning. I am not even sure how aston martin exists, are the European sales that good?
Hopefuly I would be forgiven to think it was $500,000 car.
It's perfect except for the wheels. Wheel design looks about 3 decades behind the car.
Those seats are awesome
Nice car. Awful spec. Whoever put that red around the grille needs their brain checked.
Kahn vengeance kit for the aston martin was on some models a work of art upon art
It seems they have turned their attention to land rover and similar brands ,shame
And P.S. when did old school honeycomb wheels come back? Again car is hideous
One for the real drivers. A epic car. Maby next speed champions by lego
What a car. And talking about what it's like to drive, not numbers and tech.
prefer a kimera 37 to this..if the money existed. But the v12 is great cant deny it
Wow jww I love how u talk about the car .. if top gear comes back please hire James 🙏
Its an amazing car....The face looks odd ..doesn't match the rest of the body
Doesmt look as good as the Superleggra. And costing 5x the price
This car costs 10x more than it should
Left hand drive , hope you driving in uk otherwise you on the wrong lane most of your time
Garcia Jeffrey Johnson Christopher Thompson Edward
Sorry sometimes being fast isn't everything. That car is hideous!
Great looking car. Great design. 😍
Looks like a mustang with a tacky wide body kit...What a joke !!!
there is probably a reason for it but i wish they removed the circle on the door and im not sure about the red but, its a beaut for sure
