It’s really cool that you both enjoyed it so much. I drove a very early car at the beginning of the year, and it felt like they had the recipe down, but they had taken it out of the oven too soon. It seems like some of the early quirks have been resolved based on your description.
I agree on the grill, it's so ostentatious, it takes away from the cool, classy vibe that Astons have had. I liked the size on the DB11, that was proportionally good.

The engineers that designed it said they wanted smaller but needed more air. I kinda like it. It wouldn't seem so large if the front didn't round over so much at the edges.
🇬🇧 Aston understood the assignment on this one. When you need to pick up your award winning actress and impress them on your journey to the dinner date in Monte Carlo. This is the vehicle you use. Right? My 10 year old Nissan has that. lol 2014 370Z Roadster...cooled seats, ceramic window tint, ROCKIN AC and a TINY interior makes for the BEST hot weather car ever. 🤣
@jpl8878 yes, but the base price is somewhere around 248k, so I guessed that 52k in optional extras would get you something as basic as cooled seats (in this class) 🤷♂️

Incredibly good looking as only Astons can. Interior is a massive upgrade, and those wood door inlays look great. One improvement would be the main instrument "binnacle", too small dials. Would look better larger. Better still, at this price level, I'd like to see mechanical needles and physical dials.
Am I the only person noticing that James is becoming a buff boi? Anyway, great video. Turns out a Nissan Exec can't manage Aston, but ex-head of AMG can. The grille being too big and the sound being a bit muffled and "meh" are the only complaints I have about it. I also agree with them in that Aston/AMG needs to make a Supercharged V8 for their Vantage performance models. Amazing Interior, Looks elegant, waaayyy better than the DB11, seems to drive really well, too. Welcome back, Aston.
I must say I quite like the sound ofthis car, the V8 growl with the air noise of the turbos, really cool ! Also purple (the darker one) would work great on this car. When they announced the DB12 Coupé I configured one in purple with a red and dark red interior, with light green stitching. I called it the Fig livery. =p
Aston Martin really needed a Canadian (Lawrence Stroll) to make it back into the world class automotive arena. Excellent video of an amazing automobile.
