Hello everyone! Wow, that took me by surprise! I'm really impressed ! Thank you very much for all your comments. There are so many cool ones that really motivate me to keep going! I can't respond to every comment, but I will address the main points. Sorry, no Malon or Talon this time. I just couldn’t get a good picture of them; but I admit it bothers me too haha! And yes, Skull Kid makes an appearance in the film. I thought, why not include him instead of the lost children? The video is not perfect, I admit, but I did my best! By the way, would you be interested in an animated version of this video in the future? Thanks again everyone! See you later for “Jodorowsky’s Dune" ✌
Definitely to an animated version 👍 but, we really would love a Majora’s mask 80s Dark Fantasy film, with a dark version of the MM opening OST. Thanks for all your amazing dedication to your art, I think I speak for everyone here, it’s absolutely outstanding work 👍
This was superb. 👍 It captured our young Link’s trepidation and his overwhelming feeling. Don’t stress the small parts. You did a wonderful job in recreating a life like affect of the OG game. The dead heads are terrifying as always. But the Goron’s and Zora’s 👌 I am glad to have seen this. Thank you
A live-action Zelda movie with special effects the quality of what the Jim Henson Workshop used to produce in the 80s and with the same styles of cinematography as movies like The Neverending Story, The Dark Crystal, and Labyrinth would be absolutely magical.
Thanks for recognising what we all want , need and dream of. It’s unreasonable for directors and designers to ignore the demands of the internet! We know better.
The aesthetic of OoT was its own thing. Making the absolute most of the limitations of the Nintendo 64. At times it seemed like the illustrations of Dickens, or Lewis Carroll
The first few young link looked so innocent like a typical child where all he things about is going outside to play. But in a later picture of young link holding a bomb, you can see his innocent in his eyes are fading after everything he faced up to that point. Young link was really forced to mature much faster as he was burdened with a task and typical child could ever fathom.
Personally I thought different on the skulltula at least. I thought that the skulltula looked eh, could have done it better. But the gohma and redead were great. And I couldn't help but laugh seeing rauru as just an average owl lol
I don't like this attitude great video games need to be turned into movies. The gameplay and story work together in video games. @sroth2021 I'm just saying if these were still shots from an actual movie I'd love to see that movie. I don't think all great video games need to be made into movies, and I don't like it when they stray from the source material, but video games always present as a digitally animated game with a hub on the screen and "press A" popping up and things like that, and if you enjoy certain characters and worlds enough you might think it'd be nice to see those characters and worlds represented in a more realistic way, without the lense of a video game. I know they're different mediums with their own respective strengths, but I'm not going to pretend I don't sincerely want a Zelda movie, and it's not like it would ruin the games if a movie or a short series existed. It'd just be more content for a thing people like.
I 100% agree with you, to bad we as humans are too dumb to hand off the source materials to the right people. @@EricPeelMusic It's definitely AI Art, and though I myself think AI Art is super overblown and likely to lead to many, many issues that are overwhelmingly awful and make the concept not worth it overall, when it comes to pitching ideas and dark fantasy in particular I think there's a place for that. Again; I don't think that AI Art should even exist, but seeing that it's here to stay I'm fine with pointing out when it does some cool stuff.
Still scared of whatever cast they're going to choose for The Live Action Film that got announced a few months back, but for sure, i rather go exactly with this 80's dark fantasy ai. Looks practical and oldschool, but for sure , what we want.
Question is.. are they going with uberchad blonde link OR classic hobbit brunette Link? If they decide to chose the classic NES Link, I would choose Austin Zajur from Kevin Smith’s “Four-Thirty Movie”
This would be super rad. Its make me think about what a modern take on dark fantasy would look like today's tech and cameras with animatronics and robots, just decked out in prosthetics and puppets. It would be a perfect cinch id ride that saddle proud, cant be much more expensive, have you seen the CGI and VFX section of a shows credit!
If they did a movie based on this game specifically (or even majoras mask), this is the esthetic I grew up imagining. Honestly for the genre of the game, it seriously just fits. Not to mention I think it would a huge hit with how “nostalgic” focused some of todays media try’s to be
The fact that most of this makes sense as part of what if Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time would actually be really dope. I love how they did adult Link and how they did most of the enemies.
This is awesome, I'd love for the movie we're getting to have practical effects but my guess is it'll be full or nearly full CGI, which can look good like Godzilla for example, but I don't know I prefer practical effects because then you watch it and it feels tangible and not like watching a really good video game cutscene
Some of the characters/effects varied in quality (A real shame they struggled to find a Ganondorf that captured the game's air of sinister shrewdness and effortless confidence as opposed to 'generic orc-like deep-voiced baddie'), and some of the enemies had an 80s horror film vibe to them, but most of the locations were very faithful, vibrant recreations (Plus Excalibur is apparently canon in Hyrule), the likes of Impa, Zelda and Sheik were great interpretations but the absolute highlight was Link himself. They got him *perfect*, the adult looked exactly how I'd imagine him to instead of some famous, vaguely-resembling actor with cosmetic ears, but child Link was somehow even better. Visually faultless in aesthetics, but to even have that intense, unwavering stare that says 'I know what's at stake here, I've had heavy, childhood-ending burden placed upon my young shoulders, but I've taken up the mantle of Courage and discovered I wear it well'...big kudos to everyone involved and it makes me hope for a genuine quality realisation of this amazing concept one day. Nintendo have given us hope with their recent forays into films, you never know.
“Within this Land of Hyrule, one hero will answer the call to save this land from darkness. The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time! A live action spectacular directed by Ridley Scott. Based on the game by Shigeru Miyamoto.” My teaser trailer idea

Let's also put an in quicksand slowly drowning Epona in the movie so an entire generation will have a collective trauma. (for those who understand the reference)
If I see that someone is producing a movie that looks like this, I will go and see it, because it'll mean they've gotten over current day hang-ups, which it something that should be rewarded. The gorons, Ruto and the gerudo look wonderful, and Zelda is how she should be. Very nice.
I really want a live Zelda movie, a good one, this series has so much potential for it. With some good actors, a fun story and good CGI, they can do it, the fanbase is there, someone just needs to get it going.

he would stick something politically stupid in it like he does for all his other movies, which would be so much greater without that aspect.
Skulltula, Gohma and Redead: looking worse in a good and horrifying way.
Gorons and Ganondorf: have seen better days.
Ganondorf, yeah, but the Goron at 1:14 looks great
I love the Gorons
Ganon could look much much better. Two completely different skin tones on the face and hands?? Please 😂
